What's the base Android version for this ROM? 4.3/4.4? 5.0?
Do you have any instructions on custom recovery installation and where to download it from for the Nokia X2DS?
Thanks.
Good Job.
Thanks.

There will be only 4.4 and up if anyone make device-tree and compile kernel and system from sources.
I will try to do it (or may be some guys from 4pda will do it earlier), but I have no much time...

It will not be easier, because main difficulty is compiling kernel. And... If I could compile it without errors, I will need some help to tune kernel. And then it will be aviable to port roms from all devices you want, and then will be easy to port rom from moto e.
There are only cpu same in moto, all other is different.
May be I`m wrong...

If you already have this ROM in the forum I feel very much if it is spam. But I did not know how to see it in the forum. It would be the second time that happens to me.
AND
aicp_Z010D_n-12.1-UNOFFICIAL-20161208.zip v7.1
V7.1 lightweight version but only supports ARM 7.1 Gapps, not Gapps ARM64. So it must be a 32 bit ROM and it is not version 5.1. Too bad I had not had my Z010D for a week. It is a ROM that works well and looks nice throughout the boot of the mobile.

@audahadi Will the aicp build work on 'WW'(Z010D) SKU devices. Once tried to flash it over stock lollipop( after full wipe, it has not booted). So, just asking. What is the significance of "z010D_n" in the naming "
aicp_Z010D_n-12.1-UNOFFICIAL-20161208.zip v5.1". Thanks.

I can not test it for a few days because I have loaned my Z010d to my brother but by the description of the developer auhadadi in theory if that should work on your Z010D. Maybe a downgrade should be done by deleting all the factory data and from the root wipe data and wipe cache. I'm sorry I can not give you another solution right now but I promise to try to install this ROM when I get my cell phone back.
To me siemore has happened to me when trying to install a ROM with SKU CN where I have installed a ROM with SKU WW During the installation always came the error message "error 7" or "status 7". So if you give this error almost sure that this ROM has SKU CN. My Z010D Within a week, more or less, my brother does not return, if I had it now I would have checked the SKU already.
The name of the file created by our master auhadadi includes our model of mobile:
Aicp_Z010D_n-12.1-UNOFFICIAL-20161208.zip
When I try to install it I will tell you if it is for SKU CN or WW.
A nice greeting.

Please let me know the thread for aicp. flashing custom rom means flashing aicp 5.1 over stock lollipop, is it not supported?. Could not able to find it. Thanks.
Confirmed, it is version 7.1 that only supports ARM 7.1 Gapps, it does not support Gapps ARM64. So it must be a 32 bit ROM and it is not version 5.1. Too bad I had not had my Z010D for a week. I do not know if you have errors.
A grateful greeting to all.

[CLOSED]Firmwares for Mido Stable & Beta[CLOSED]

FROM HERE ON THE FIRMWARES WILL BE MAINTAINED BY THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR OF THE FIRMWARES, @yshalsager.
CLICK HERE TO GO THE THREADThis thread will be closed soon.
Thank You.
LATEST FIRMWARE PACKAGES FOR RN4 MIDO.
Download links pulled from @yshalsager 's thread.Hello XDA readers, I have created this thread to maintain an easy access to the latest firmwares for RN4(MIDO) which is being regularly kept up to date by @yshalsager. You can visit his thread here. You may ask why do we need this thread if someone else has already done the work. Simply because some people who are new to flashing might get lost and confused at his thread on which package to download and what not. Even experienced users can save the hassle of searching the appropriate links. So enough justification, let's get to the stuff.
So here you will find four links, which are:
•STABLE
1) Global Stable(Extracted from MIUI Stable Global releases)
2) China Stable(Extracted from MIUI Stable China release)•BETA
3) Global Beta (Extracted from MIUI Beta Global releases)
4) China Beta(Extracted from MIUI Beta China releases)
If you want the latest up to date firmwares for your device and mind don't bugs from beta you should download the appropriate BETA.
If the want the most stable firmware for your devices you should download the appropriate STABLE.
So which is appropriate? China or Global??
If you find yourself asking this question please download the GLOBAL version only. If you should flash China you will know it.
Download links:
•STABLE GLOBAL(MIUI v9.2.1)
•STABLE CHINA(MIUI v9.2.1)
•BETA GLOBAL(MIUI v8.3.8)(Updated on 09/03/18)
•BETA CHINA(MIUI v8.3.8)(Updated on 09/03/2018)
Refer to Google or MIUI website with the MIUI version mentioned to know more like baseband version and stuff.
Note:
•This is just a firmware and not a ROM.
•It is not only for MIUI, every custom ROM also needs the latest firmwares so you can flash this on custom ROMs too.
•If you had a custom boot splash image it will be replaced by stock, re-flash after flashing new firmware to get it back.
•Links here are updated regularly, whenever an update is out.
Thank you for your time.
I think at least you should have put my thread link

Just like in a computer how every hardware requires it's own driver to be installed similarly on an android phone firmwares are responsible for that. They are like drivers for your phone hardware. The software between your phone's hardware and ROM.
No it doesn't mess with the kernel.
No it won't break any ROM. Actually it might even fix some bugs if you flash the latest stable firmware.

Many thanks for this useful thread.
I am using an unlocked MIDO device with oreo custom roms but I didn't update the firmware/modem yet.
Just 2 questions:
- Can I simple flash the new firmware .zip from recovery, reflash the custom rom and reboot or there are other actions needed (for example to reflash the custom recovery)?
- Why the Stable version number (v9.2.1) is higher that the Beta version (v8.2.1)?

Just flash latest firmware, no matter on what rom you are, no other action needed. Beta version uses date in naming and is not the same naming system reference as the stable build. Beta is always newer than beta, might contain bugs though ( i always use beta, not a single issue so far).

Yes you can flash the firmware from TWRP like a normal zip. Reflashing your ROM is not necessary although it is a good thing.
And the version number is that specific firmware's MIUI version and that's Xiaomi style of numbering their beta ROMs. Latest firmware is always BETA.
I leave some weed here..
Thank you man you save my life lmao

This problem is reported by almost all custom ROM users. There will be son be fix for it hopefully. But in the meantime yes beta firmware might be able to fix that since it is constantly being updated every week, it's worth a try but no guarantees..

Hello.
I want to buy a Lenovo P8 from Gearbest: https://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_1542868.html?wid=1640583
I have some questions:
1. It comes with Android 6.0 and has a locked bootloader (I think, it can't be unlocked). Can it receive update to oreo (the custom rom from this thread)?
2. Is it possible to install TWRP and then the custom ROM?
3. Is The Oreo stable ? Phone calling and FM radio is supported on this custom ROM? How much space is used (from 16 GB)?
4. Where can I find the stock ROM (Android 6.0), just in case if something goes wrong? On Lenovo website I cant find the stock ROM, and if something goes wrong (even with TWRP) I want to have the possibility of flashing the stock via QFIL.
(5.) On which kernel is based
A. Stock ROM
B. Oreo custom
Thanks!
