this is 4.0 close test ROM for Defy
flash it via recovery and at your own risk ...
remember , this was supposed to be a close test version ! however i decided to posted here because i know there are lots lots good people have sharp eyes like eagle's and excellent observations ...
don't be surprised if this has bug or that doesn't work ...blah blah blah...
Known problems/bugs:
1. Video recording doesn't work
2. Softkey don't light up
3. APN setting will be force closed
4. Status bar in lockscreen will be pull up automatically.
5. Can not manually select operator
6. Camara can not set picture size nor focus.
7. plug in USB will connect GRPS ...

I am not its developer , but however i am moderator in its official forum and may act as representative here around XDA for DianXin ROM.
so i can't answer all doubts or something , but however i will relay your problem , your doubts , your suggestions , your ideas or anything you wanna say about this ROM to its developer.
since now , 2.3's update has been stopped and will be focus on ICS version ...

i know you guys may think it looks like MIUI , but i assure you it's totally different ROM nor MIUI-based modification , and if you have time , please read first pages of all these kind people's reports and feelings about this ROM.
what i think is , every and any ROM is like child to all of us in Android community , and please don't think it is bad or ugly or whatever negative expression you can think of , because nothing is perfect , as MIUI , it is now 71 weeks old , and this one is only 3 weeks old, and for now , MIUI 4.0 does have problems and bugs as well as this one, it has some problems or bugs, but that's how all ROM start, right ?
we are just like bunch of daddies (mommies) here , to help developer to raise (improve) thier child (ROM) , they need you help and report!

kernel gb or froyo?

by see build.prop in ROM zip , it says 2.3.7
but i am not sure, i don't have this device ...

I've installed this ROM. Fast rom but for me not working data, screen rotation, screen brightness. But everything else is good. Menu fast and smooth, good battery drain. It will be good to see this ROM then the bugs will be fixed

You guys should stop making this kind of ROM. I already left MIUI for MoKeeOS, in now this one is tempting me again. Fortunately my USBs aren't working, so I can't do it in the urge right now, but I'll download it for testing, later.

this looks really nice and i'd like to try it but after flashing i just get a boot loop, i'm not really sure if i installed it incorrectly or what..... is there a specific SBF i should be using for this?

i tried it and i'm still in the same loop, i think the problem is that i cant wipe the dalvick cache. i choose to but when i click the power button the selection bar goes to the top of the screen without doing anything. or it could be that i previously had CM7 installed idk

it generally happens when gapps are not flashed or there happens to be some error while flashing it.

i had that issue.. just go into the keyboard settings and set Touch Input as the default (thats the HTC Sense keyboard).. it works fine. then of course you can grab another keyboard of choice (I use SwiftKey personally).
other than that, everything works great. Using Apex Launcher right now with Bricked Kernel 1.1.

Is this Sense or AOKP based?

Go into your Language and Keyboard settings, and select Touch Input as your default setting. This should fix the issue.

You're incorrect, dog.
It's Sense-based still. The MIUI.US version is based off of the miui.cn official build, which is still essentially a Sense 3.6 ROM, stripped of just about all Sense features aside from Sense Cam and Touch input.

You sure about that? I always thought that MIUI was AOSP, just like CyanogenMod, just themed. I'm almost 99% positive that MIUI is built from AOSP.

It normally is, but the Sensation build is different. (Same for another that I can't think of atm.) Have you even run this rom or opened it up? Like, look at the camera. Normally MIUI has their own camera, but the Sensation build has the Sense cam. And the Sense keyboard as well. When you mess with the touch input, a lot more sense features start showing up.

Yea, I just flashed it 10 minutes ago. It works great, and the keyboard fix works. I haven't played with it to much yet, just thought I would share the link for those that did not know that it exists for the Sensation.

Just for verification for everyone, this version IS Sense based. Thanks GoCkillaz for the information. I spent the last 15 minutes translating the Chinese site with Google Translate to verify...LOL!

Anyone tried different kernals with this yet?

Any sense kernel will work. You can use bricked to get sweep2wake. But for me, and miuiandroid version had really poor battery life. There is a problem with the rom not letting the system enter full sleep mode.
Please report back with battery on the .us version.

I suggest using faux's most recent kernel. If you want S2W, use Bricked.
Also, there's a bug with the SMS on that ROM as well. If you send a message and immediately turn the screen off, the message will send, but a notification will pop up and say that it didn't send.
Guys, don't expect any Sensation specific bugs to be addressed from the official ROM unless they are explicitly harmful to the system itself (like keyloggers, bootloops, etc). If you want individual issues addressed, try and contact a dev on XDA, rootzwiki or MoDaCo and have them fix it for you. The MIUI team still hasn't implemented the MIUI camera on this rom, and at the rate they're trying to churn out MIUI ports as to complete, bug-free, fully featured MIUI ROMs, I doubt that they ever will.
If you want a MIUI-like experience on a better rom (such as AOKP), download MIUILauncher from the Market (the official MIUI one), MILocker, and GOSMS. Sorta the same.

MIUIandroid has a specific forum page for Bugs, and many of the bugs get listed as "in progress" which tells me they are fixing sensation and device specific bugs.
I believe the decision to use HTC camera came from the base being from Sense.....having said that I find it WAY faster than any sense rom I've tried. I can even get better fluid speed underclocked on it (that was my effort to try to rectify the battery issue).
At any rate, they do have full sensation support which tells me their will be a complete, bug free, fully featured version available as they implement their weekly updates.

Morelocale 2 translate all applications without Phone Settings Why ? The phone settings are in english language

thanks very nice rom, clean and fast. the only problem i have, it is draining my battery more faster than usual, x2 or 3 i guest. Does miui 7 rom normally eats up more battery than other rom?

On my A536 this version 7.1 is very bad. Many errors... back to another release...

Had this rom for 4 months, it is a very good rom... working perfectly with any app (never had a "Force close"). BUT, recently I saw that the GPS is not working. I tried to fix it but zero chances. All the apps that uses it are saying in the status bar: "Searching for GPS" (with gps activated) for hours... I really need gps now that I moved in another city

Have you found a good stable ROM with everything working for Lenovo A536?
Right now running CyanogenMod 13 but the SD card keeps unmounting itself and the system says the card isn't compatible. If I restart everything is OK but the phone goes into some weird lockscreen boot and the SD card will show once again its incompatible. Its a SanDisk and its working fine when the phone is restarted.
Driving me nuts I can't find a decent Marshmallow Rom for this thing.

Just installed this and comparing to nervehammer's build this doesn't have problems with SD using (Deezer works okay). BT after reboot works. Stock cam makes dark videos and awful photos but nvm you can just use miui or google camera and keep calm.
Btw, I don't understand how to enable pie lol. I mean, it can be set up, but there is no option to enable it (I don't use it but it's pretty strange)

Well there is "Immersive mode" tile. Just pull out notification bar. Turn on immersive mode by clicking on immersive mode tile. There you go, there's your pie.

There seems to be an issue with the permissions for the internal storage. Some apps cant access it at all (Chrome, Gcam ..) Tried stock storage manager and Google storage manager, same resault.

No problem at me, camera is good perfomance internal or sd card storage.
Paranoid is the best, one of many custom rom nougat with certified playstore and pass safetyNet.

I have no issue too with permission. But I can't seem to notice the effect of recent button actions. I can modify home but recents doesnt. It happens daniel's Los14.1 too. I dont know if this is just me

Some observation
1. LTE icon on quick setting seems have the LTE logo too far away from signal icon. On status bar its fine. See screenshot.
2. Paranoid camera on HDR modes produces two photos
3. Recent button actions has no effect no matter what is set. My recent button left of home button is still default menu. I can enable on screen buttons and thats the time I can edit recents on screen.

I've come to know that this happens with the 3X users!

Yes it will produce two photos in hdr one with hdr and one without hdr i guess..

For dark videos use miui camera or other available working camera for now.

Hmmm it was working on Daniel's old LOS build before.l and xperience. Also with aospextended.
By the my model is redmi 3s shown in about but my device is actually 3X

I had similar problem (Solid Explorer couldn't display my internal storage), but it fixed with a reboot

Volte not working redmi 3s land

Looks like the problem with memory access is really here. Now I'm unable to delete photos via Google Photos cause they reappear later. Tried to make logs but logcat app couldn't save them. Maybe this would help.
