Hopefully they will do Notch Customisation Settings like Essential have done recently with their PH-1:

If they do it will 90 -99% sure be my next phone.
How about waterproof ?
or they again skip this very important feature.

I believe they have discussed the ability to hide the notch and this will be provided at a later update via an update so I don't think they will have this feature ready for launch. They talked about this feature being tested with over 1k key apps from the play store and it already working nicely. I'm not sure if they will have the ability to hide the notch on a per app basis.

How about wireless charge?

I honestly hope that even if they do have wireless headphones, that they don't eliminate the headphone jack like apple did.
I actually still prefer wired headphones (all syncing issues aside, I prefer them for many other reasons too, as wired ones never run out of power, guzzle less of the phone's battery, and having to charge yet another device when you have wireless ones means having to carry more stuff with you, so I personally find wireless headphones alot more inconvenient).
Nothing wrong with having both options though for people who do though. But eliminating the wired option is stupid, and I hate how apple did that.
(and to be honest, is one of the reasons why OnePlus was able to steal so many of Apple's customers, so gives them an edge to keep it)
The headphone sockets being the standard universal size aswell means you only have to carry one pair of headphones no matter how many devices you carry with you , and don't have to lug about extra dongles for people who go the bespoke socket route, so is much easier in so many ways).
For example, if I have my Nintendo Switch or 3DS with me, I don't bring headphones for each. I just bring the one pair, and I can use them in whichever device I happen to be using at the time. So much less hassle.
Hi guys. Any benefits to go for op7 pro?
Does it worth to switch from s10 plus?
I live in Europe so I have exynos version.
Thank you.

Hey there the S10+ is great and has so many features that it's almost the perfect package.
Obviously you know the details of each device so it just boils down to what do you mind sacrificing?
No wireless charging (this is a great feature) however it's NOT at the point where OnePlus are ready to adopt it. I can see their perspective, we all enjoy a dash (Warp) charge and be good to go, wireless charging is slow and cause's heat which degrades the battery. So while it's good and nice to have, it's not all that it's cracked up to be, convenience in some situations but not important for me.
SD card support again this is a great hardware feature but with cloud and the fact that you have OTG, 256gb internal then again it's not a must have for me.
The 7 Pro has a Fantastic (uninterrupted) Display and yes 90htz is noticeable and something I rather enjoy.
Also there is OxygenOS and while OneUI is a great improvement, there for me is nothing that beats the Stock with a slight hint of mint or whatever your flavour, it's fluid, stock like, has the perfect blend of additions......it just runs very well.
Ok I'm not going to go through all the points, but I had the S10+ 8/512gb Ceramic white (Exynos). Decided to sell and pick up the 7 Pro and I really don't regret my decision. While the camera might not be quite as good (it's for me perfectly acceptable).
It just comes down to trade off's as with any switch of device really...., But I honestly don't think you'll regret unless the features like wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, SD Card ect are that important to you?

I'm switching from the SD S10+ to 7 Pro 12GB. Here are my reasons:
- Root apps (invested in many) + MM
- Longevity & quicker updates
- Custom roms
- Ability to capture logs from the device (Root)
- 90hz & no punch hole
- Customer service (they treat people really well at events & online support is friendly)
- UFS3.0
- Network instability and slow data speeds on S10+ compared to Note 8 & LG G7
I expect downgrades in these areas: battery life, mic quality, audio, features, and camera. I'll see which of these hold true in a few weeks, enjoying my G7 for the time being.
I just sold my S10 Plus and am regretting it. The camera is a big let down on the 7 Pro. Especially indoors and with fast moving kids.

Are you regretting just because of the camera or there's something else?
Which one has the best battery?

The camera is the worst part, even with 9.5.7, I miss too many shots of my kids between shutter lag / blurriness and bad color.
Battery was better on S10+.
I've been back using my Pixel 3 XL because of the camera.
Not sure if this is the correct place to post, apologies in advance.
I was initially interested in getting the Pixel 3a. However, I see that now the Pixel 3 has a 250$ off, bringing the cost of the device down to.
In Canada, the Pixel 3 is now: $750 (this includes the $250 discount), and the Pixel 3a is $550.
I don't play games on my phone. I just can't get myself to do so when I have a Switch and PC at home.
Storage space of 64GB is actually plenty for me. I don't even close to 32GB on my current phone, due to having a NAS at home which pictures are transferred there, and the use of cloud storage. A good rear camera is the most important feature on a phone, hence why I am looking at the Pixel 3 series phone. Beside that I think I am a light user.
I really don't care about the front camera, however wireless charging seems nice to have (although I was looking into getting this, if I where to get the Pixel 3a: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Qi-...Mode-Wireless-QC3-0/33025054236.html?spm=2114 Of course, I prefer it to be integrated into the device, but is a workaround I am willing to do for the lower price (that said that will cost me ~$23.50 Canadian with shipping, bringing the cost of both device closer)
However, I heard that the Pixel 3 has performance issues that the 3a doesn't have, not sure if this was solved or not, or affected some special case? Are these performance issues (assuming not fixed) are they resolved by doing a phone reboot?
Is the gain in performance, build quality, waterproof (not sure I actually care) worth the premium?
Thanks
I was leaning towards the Pixel 3a myself before it had been officially announced, but when I saw the Pixel 3 was on sale at 50% off through Google Fi back in April I decided to pull the trigger on the Pixel 3. The Pixel 3 was just not worth it to me without a significant discount. My biggest complaint with my Pixel 3 is battery life. Also wish it had a headphone jack. I haven't noticed any performance issues while I've had it. I am happy with the phone and am glad I have 128GB of storage instead of 64GB. 64GB was not going to be enough for me.
I think in your case the Pixel 3a would be a better option. You don't need more than the 64GB of storage and the other features aren't really needed or really desired. Wireless charging isn't that big of a deal for me and you have like two options for wireless chargers that support 10w charging for the Pixel 3 due to Google using some proprietary way of wirelessly charging the Pixel 3. The processor in the Pixel 3a should be more than adequate (I think any Snapdragon 600 series of processor should provide decent performance).
I have both phones at home. Never once experienced any performance issues with the Pixel 3, and it's an absolutely great phone. All I can say about which one to choose is:
Do you need any of this:
- Wireless Charging
- Wideangle selfie camera
- Glass housing
- Slight performance increase
If you say yes to any of the points above, get the Pixel 3. Otherwise, get the 3a. The 3a has the same awesome stock Android experience, the same amazing back camera, a sort-of premium feel (they have done a great job with the plastic housing), great battery life, and according to Google, half a year longer support.
Hey guys, I just saw the release of the Zenfone 7/7Pro and I was a little let down that it didn't have a headphone jack. I was wondering what are your thoughts, and if this will make you pull the trigger or stay with your current device?

I have Zenfone 6 and I will probably stay on it for quite a while because of no headphone jack and increase weight by 40 grams. I like what Asus have done here but I feel like I don't need an upgrade for now.
Aside from that. The camera seem to be an improvement especially with OIS. For camera2 info this is what I found

This is pretty much my only complaint about the ZF7 - besides the price maybe. As I need a new phone I don't have much of an option at the moment. There is no other phone fulfilling all my requirements and I don't see any (soon) upcoming phone doing it...
- Big flat screen without punch hole
- Good ROM support
- Big battery
- Good camera
- Headphone jack
- Stereo speakers
I guess I have to get some wireless earbuds in the future, although I don't really want to... Another 200 bucks out the window. I thought if they are going to kill the jack they would also announce some earbuds.
I recently made the switch to wireless earbuds, so it's not that big of a deal for me personally. The only gripe I have with this phone is how big and heavy it is. 230g. Wish they would have kept the size and weight of the Zenfone 6.
Other than that it seems like a very good phone. Not sure about the main camera sensor (IMX686), as it's used by cheaper phones like the Pocophone F2. Also for some reason reviewers who got the phone early can't show pics taken with this phone ? Sounds like the camera software isn't fully polished yet. Can't think of other reasons...
It is not a problem for me, as I mainly use bluetooth headset. Using wired headset is a hassle for me. But I understand this is such a deal breaker for a lot of other. I don't quite understand why they can't simply just keep it to cover as much user as they can. Just like they already put dedicated microsd slot, why not just go full and make the near-perfect phone with headphone jack, which can satisfy a lot of users. The phone is quite thick enough already, so space seems not to be big problem.

I have a lot of wired headphones, so I purchased a small/cheap USB-C to 3.5mm DAC/adapter from Amazon called a Clipthat (silly name).
Honestly, the cheap Clipthat sounds better than the headphone jack on my ZF6. I currently have both a ZF6 and ZF7Pro, at least until I get everything transferred over and the ZF7Pro setup to my taste.
Not an issue for me. Switched to Bluetooth earbuds a while back and being wireless has been the best decison ever! Only every now and then not being able to plug my phone in somewhere for audio has been every so slightly problematic, but not a deal breaker for me at all
No headphone jack doesn't bother me. I have bluetooth in my car and wireless earbuds. I can't remember the last time I used the headphone jack on my zenfone 6.

No headphone jack is literally my only complaint for this phone.
Easy to unlock, rom support should be a breeze (Once it gets going). Super fast Full screen with no holes or notches, better selfie camera than any on the market. Microsd card support.
My friend bought a galaxy s20 and was very upset by the comparison of our geekbench scores since we both have the same SOC. Considering he paid $400 more for his phone and can't even use his hotspot without paying additional charges to his carrier.
Since my only downside I could find was the headphone jack, I went ahead and got the 7, and then bought a usb c to headphone adapter. I have not needed to plug my phone in during the day yet. At the end of my average day when I go to bed I am still around 15-20%.
This is pretty standard these days
I was eagerly waiting for the OnePlus 9 Pro, because I have become a OnePlus guy. Unfortunately, I can't get use to having a camera hole cut out, on the screen. If I must put up with it, then the hole must be centered and not off to the side. I was hoping OP would have continued the OP 7 Pro thing or figured out the under the screen technology.
Anyhow, what I am looking for:
No camera hole punch out (even if it means I must have a little bezel). If the camera hole is on the screen, it needs to be centered.
Big screen
Android based, with easy to unlock bootloader (ideally a company that supports it like OnePlus)
5G compatible
Lots of ram, fast processor, lots of disk storage - aka i want a flagship/top of the line.
Something with screen burn-in protection technology
Good camera
Works with T-Mobile in the USA
Although I love a good deal, I am not too concern about the price tag (as long as it is reasonable, like less than $1200 USD).
That said, any recommendations? I also don't mind waiting for OnePlus 9t Pro if there is any solid rumors that they will do something special to the front facing camera.
I am currently using a OnePlus 5t and although I like the phone, issues are starting to arise (issue with VoLTE and certain Bluetooth headsets, screen burn-in, etc).
Any advice would be much appreciated .
That's a lot of money, you can buy a Galaxy S21 Ultra, you'll love it. There's no burn-in proof display, it can be avoided by shifting on the screen pixels, so it's a software thing, you don't have to worry too much, unless you have a bad habit of keeping the screen on all night.
You can also check midrange devices, usually you won't feel any difference, for an example, there's Redmi Note 10, Galaxy A72, Galaxy A52, offering large displays, fast processors, at least 6 GBs of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and even 5G support for some models.
All that for less than 500$ (my cousin got brand new RN10 for 200$). Cameras are not a thing to worry about anymore. However, One Plus 9T Pro's front facing camera setup is a bit strange, you should avoid it if the rumours are true.

It's a lot of money, for this you will get the top of the top, personally I won't do it but it's up to you.
For considerably less money you can get very good devices covering from the 1 to the 7 of your questions, just I don't know the 8th.
For example comes to my mind the Galaxy Note 10 (although it's 2 years old), the Galaxy S20, but I would go for a Xiaomi Mi 11.

Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco or OnePlus.
Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco still have warranty coverage after bootloader unlock. Double check warranty policy youself on their website though, may vary between countries and region.
