DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Get TWRP (Official is recommended)
First boot into TWRP format data wipe all except internal, otg, microSd then Flash the ROM, Magisk, or any other mods (again, don't report bugs if you can't reproduce them with just ROM and GApps)
Reboot into the system, and enjoy the DerpFest!

Thank you for the ROM.
I found a bug, settings > sound > ringtone vibration pattern > custom, causes a reboot.

I'm a newbie, and brilliant ROM!
I posted this comment some time ago in an older thread which had been closed. Here's my query again -
Hello, this is a very good ROM, but what I want to know is whether I can still go back to MiUI.
But before that, was this ROM specifically made to be able to pass Safetynet? Because I don't have Magisk or anything, I'm still able to pass it.
Here's how I installed this ROM -
1) Backed up my data and then unlocked Bootloader on phone, then flashed OFox Recovery using platform tools. And then kept firmware, ROM, and FCrypt in my SD card.
2) Wiped all data except SD card and USB, after which I formatted the 'data' folder, and then rebooted OFox as said on their page, and then flashed firmware, reobooted OFox again, then installed ROM, rebooted OFox again, and then installed FCrypt, and finally booted the ROM. But a thing to notice was that the 'unlocked' message that showed up below the 'Redmi' logo was gone.
3) Boot successful, ROM works perfectly, no issues.
But what I do not understand is that, it turns out that my phone isn't rooted at all. I tried many Root checkers and SafetyNet checkers on play store and my device passes them all. I thought your devices get rooted during the process of installing Custom ROMs?
But still, can I go back to MiUI? One thing that I noticed was that there was no fastboot for this ROM. If I hold VolDown and Power button, the phone switches off and then just keeps flashing a black screen. OFox still exists on my device though. If I can go back to MiUI, how do I do it and does it relock my bootloader (if it already isn't unlocked at this point)? The 'OEM unlocking' button in this ROM's developer is greyed out.

For root you need to flash magisk zip via recovery
You can go back to miui but i think custom roms are way better than miui.

Amazing rom...amazed by smoothness, performance and features...mind blowing...thanks dev....Now big fan of #derpfest....

Thanks!!
I'm missing ANX CAMERA :crying:

FAQ
1. You may find that you have apps FCing after a dirty flash or nandroid restore. Such apps may include Email apps, and other apps that use WebView. AOSP includes their WebView, but it is pretty outdated. If you experience these FCs, and clearing data or even REINSTALLING an app does not fix it, take a look at the version of webview selected in Settings > System > Developer options > WebView implementation, and choose the newest one, in this case, Chrome stable:
2. Depending on the version of GApps you have installed, you may remove/replace included apps (like Dialer, Calendar) without knowing it. For this reason it's suggested to use the smallest GApps package possible that gives you Play Services functionality.
3. Screen recording tile:
There are 3 different resolutions for the screen record tile, indicated by the 3 "dots" that will appear on the icon. 480P. 720P and 1080P, are 1, 2, and 3 dots, respectively. Tap to change them, then long press to record when ready. Tap the flashing red dot in the lower right of the screen to end recording, or long-press it to move the dot to the other side of the screen.
What's not working:
You tell me. I'm running this as a daily driver and it's been through testing. But if a noteworthy bug arises, I'll try to list it here for public knowledge.
Happy to see my mido receiving so much love!
Long live mido:fingers-crossed:

Firmware it contains latest modem files so xiaomi updates it with developer and stable builds
If everything is working fine then no need to flash firmware if you feel any poor network or something like that. So you may need to flash latest firmware so it increases stability in Network.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
- Backup your personal data (Important)
- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM + Gapps Zipfile.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine
ROM: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-RJmIR6KfKhuV_TiR_1EWOgetHyFeBrs/view?usp=drivesdk

It's been almost a day testing this new rom, I like it, thanks for the effort and keeping our (old) op3 alive! ?
I do have some suggestions if you don't mind.
I'm missing a AOD tile and proximity speaker when calling.
But most of all I really like to see the option of volume rockers to control notification in stead of media. I really hate that it changed in android pie.
Anyway, thank you in advance for considering!

Great efforts buddy..!
Does encryption work on this ROM?
Hi, just flashed it with nano opengapps. So far so good.
Is there a way to install MIUI cam? GCAM is working fine, but my GF only likes Xiaomi's skin effects.

Switched to HMP
Imported thermal hal
Updated blobs
Fixed manual network selections

I have Mi A2 and the main problem I'm facing is not working VoWiFi so I decided to try this ROM (syberia_jasmine_sprout-v3.7-20200525-1034-OFFICIAL.zip) since it says it supports this.
But I'm unable to get VoWiFi to work here either.
I can see VoWiFi options in call settings but when I enable it, I can see no connection/traffic on Microtic Torch - nothing happens (can see other traffic from phone).
When I try *#*#INFO#*#* - the VoWiFi knob is turned off (grayed of course). On stock ROM I was able to enable it over *#*#VOWIFI#*#* and in INFO - knob was on. But it didn't connected.
And I found problems with camera app also - it says it needs sdcard. I can't go to (...) options - the button is "transparent" for click.
EDIT: I enabled developer on stock, debugging and oem
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flashing unlock
fastboot flashing unlock_critical
fastboot flash boot_b twrp-3.3.1-0-jasmine_sprout.img
fastboot flash boot_a twrp-3.3.1-0-jasmine_sprout.img
(to overcome TWRP logo hangup on recovery)
fastboot reboot
(go to TWRP)
wipe
adb push syberia_jasmine_sprout-v3.7-20200525-1034-OFFICIAL.zip /
Flash ROM zip
adb reboot recovery
adb push open_gapps-arm64-10.0-mini-20200609.zip /
adb push Magisk-v20.4.zip /
Flash gaps magisk
reboot
EDIT2: I can't write to storage I think it's the reason why camera app displays message about no sdcard. Don't know why...
EDIT3: Just wiped internal storage and reflashed ROM, rebooted flashed gapps and Magisk and it works - still no VoWiFi, magisk manager says no Magisk installed (it anyway patched slot _b no matter what was active slot).
More problems:
- gapps wizard turns automatically mobile data on.
- wizard crashes on update search process
- google data transfer crashes
- night mode doesn't work at all
EDIT1: Is it possible some problems are caused by vendor partition? Since TWRP doesn't allows to wipe vendor...
one more problem:
- when calling virtual keyboard should send numbers to e.g. call robot. These numbers not sent at all.
EDIT1:
- can't authorize adb access - adb devices displays device as unauthorized - no ask by device to authorize

OOS camera port is wip. More to come in the next few days including Aug sec patches, fixed kcal support, accurate slider toast notification dimensions/gravity, and more.
Lots planned for 8/9 series
Any feedback for this rom?

What exactly prevented you from installing? Saying "didn't work" is a bit vague.
From OOS 11.2.8.8
Im going to make a backup and then retry right meow actually.
I tried it again, but when I type
fastboot boot lineage-18.1-20210626-recovery-lemonade.img
it boots the image, goes to Fastboot mode Logo, then just goes into a bootloop.
Not sure whats going on? Any ideas?
My stock recovery is still there. So im not sure.
Were on the boot animation right now as we speak.
The "E" symbol is going....
Ill report it to back in a bit once it fires up
---------
Just stayed in bootloop on the Animation. I let it sit for 15mins or longer.
I did it correctly aswell. Flashed correctly and then formatted data.
I got a PuBG Mobile tournament tonight so Ima just stay on stock for now. ill try it again after that.

You have to flash the los recovery to the device. You can't just boot it the way you do TWRP or a patched.img
Alright I'll try it. If that works then the instructions need to be changed. It says fastboot boot recovery.img

I dunno what I'm doing wrong. How long did you stay on the boot animation?
I've tried Lineage and crDroid. The only one that works is crDroid.
Maybe something is wrong with my files internally. But that can't be right. And actually I can't even boot into Lineage recovery. It just won't do it. No what I do. Fastboot boot or fastboot flash boot or anything...
Same issue unfortunately. The recovery doesn't boot. I've tried the lineage-18.1-20210725-recovery-lemonade.img version as well and still doesn't boot and I'm not willing to do fastboot flash to try that.
Hopefully someone can figure this out soon.
OK. So I figured it out.
You have to do fastboot flash boot recovery.img
Reboot to recovery then select the following on the phone:
Apply Update
Apply from ADB
then on the computer do:
adb sideload ROM.zip
Format data in the recovery then Reboot to system and it will boot up!
Did it just now and it works!

Dirty flash from eleven I don't really suggest or never tried. But yes clean flash is the way to go or even you can give it a try if that works tell other users as well
I love how we went from Xcalibur to Twelve.
the rom does not install, every time when starting return recovery error.I did everything as in the description, its installed correctly but it does not work
Wanted to upgrade from 11 to 12, but didn't even come to make the choice to do it clean or dirty.
Flashed the boot-eng.img, since then it is stuck in fast boot mode. Can neither start android nor go into recovery.
If I try it says: Enter Reason error boot prepare
When I tried flashing back the old bootloader.img from June instead, it fails to install boot_a and says "no such partition".
I can reflash the new boot-eng.img without errors though.
I am on Bootloader version: s5-0.3-7357976
Google pay detects root, does it go bypass it?
Does device theming in apps work?
Guy's be sure to be on latest firmware i.e Android 12 stock before performing the flash.
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash the boot-eng.img as mentioned above in the instructions
3. Go to recovery from fastboot itself by using volume keys or "fastboot reboot recovery"
4. Factory reset the device from recovery
5. Then select apply update via adb
6. On your pc "adb sideload zipname"
7. Reboot after flashing.
Please attach SS if it's failing for you so I can look into it.

bootloader.img != Boot.img
Thoose are both different. Flash the correct image if you want to revert back.
Yesterday after boot-eng.img didn't work I tried first boot-2021-08-12.img and only after that bootloader-sunfish-s5-0.3-7241803.img which both didn't work.
Today I tried the boot-2021-08-12.img again, and with that it worked, I can boot into Android again. Using that boot img I could also then flash the SuperiorOS12, so everything works now.
Shouldn't have tried to do it "just quickly" just before bedtime yesterday. ^^

These instructions should work be sure to flash stock A12 pixel images first and don't try to jump from A11 SuperiorOS directly.
