It's linked to Google play services, But my understanding it is just the API service and does nothing without a covid tracker app so it should be save to keep it unless someone can chime in with more info.

The only way to get rid of it is to delete Google Play Services. That's how they snuck it in. On Android Pie it's simple. Just debloat via ADB using pm list packages prompt and voila! it's gone. On Android 10 it works the same EXCEPT none of the google apps, firefox, instacart, or anything like that will WORK. So you can de-google all you want - they've baked it into everything. It's something I'm struggling with now since I was forced to upgrade.

Hi dears,
I don't how many... but as soon launched, I placed my order for the 128GB version.
It is: http://www.royole.com/flexpai
Now... as soon payed, I didn't get any update and I raised up the case to PayPal as well.
Despite my path, I hope for you a better feedback, what's your opinion about?
Cheers.,
Love it!! Waiting for foldable tablet since years
Just curious to read your review
Please let me know
The only bad stuff: it isn't completely flat when opened

Mine was OK, the SIM card holder tip broke off but can still insert a SIM card. I have tried many different things. I used the Chinese app to download something called "Go" when I open the app, I see Royole and references to Play store. I still cannot get it to work. I tried to create a Royole account (no luck still).
I use my Huawei phone to convert the Chinese to English (camera/hivision). They have FAQs in the app, and it implies I needed to disable two factor authentication but it doesn't work still.
I hooked up the FlexPai to ADB/Logcat to see the debug messages and I see security exceptions. So I fear we may need to root (and this is outside of my expertise).
I use the web versions of google apps as a temp workaround (outlook for email). Some apps work some apps don't.

Hi, Ive got some google functuonality installed on my flexpai (google maps is ok, playstore working but no possibility to sign in)
I am looking to install the google account apk for pie. You should have to install manually some google apk and for pie!!!

google-play-services-16-1-53-000300-242560017.apk
Hi looks promising.
In your list of 3 apks two of them are actually the same "app" just different versions
com.google.android.gms is the same as Google Play Services.
You need this one
com.google.android.gsf_9-4832352-28_minAPI28(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
plus this version of Google maps
com.google.android.apps.maps_10.16.1-1016101040_minAPI21(arm64-v8a,armeabi-v7a,x86,x86_64)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
AND IT WORKS!!! great work.
I can't log in but maps works otherwise.
maybe we need to latest google account manager - looking into it.
thanks
I found an account manager for Android Pie but no luck.
I look at logs in ADB - and it seems there are permissions that are not granted
nable to get provider com.google.android.gsf.settings.GoogleSettingsProvider: java.lang.SecurityException: You need MANAGE_USERS permission to: get the profile parent
I tried to grant using ADB shell but cannot.
So in an area I don't have expertise on.
I see we can unlock our bootloader so potential for other ROMs and root to address these issues

Quick update,
Just installing this one APK

then issue these two command from adb:
adb shell pm grant com.google.android.gms android.permission.INTERACT_ACROSS_USERS
adb shell pm grant com.google.android.gms android.permission.READ_LOGS
helps a lot.
Apps like flipboard, sirius etc now work (when they didn't before).
Apps not working for me still: pushover, textnow and the google apps (where I need to login).
thanks

With many attempts, no. I even tried to root and this was unsuccessful. What did work so I could get some apps onboard was downloading the apk for Amazon app store. Finally have YouTube and other apps for viewing video content and some cool games.

Yes, I could load my Gmail and YouTube by signing in. I had intentions as well to use it as a daily device however I'm experiencing connectivity challenges with wifi and my data. Royole is supposed to be sending out an update soon to address some of the challenges we in North America are experiencing.

Yes it is unlikely one can use this as their main phone, but it's close.
Google apps (or any other app) that needs to login (locally on device) will not work.
For the Youtube (Version from the Amazon store), the login is cloud based (so it works).
One can use Chrome to login to Google photos, GMail, Drive, etc (as the login is Cloud based).
For an alternative to Google Maps, try MapQuest.
Interestingly the Microsoft Apps work really well (Launcher, Cortana, OneNote & other office apps).
For Apps like Flipboard use an email account (not Google account).
See my above post on the Google Services APK to get other apps working.
Here is why I cannot use as my Main Daily Driver. I depend on apps like Pushover (doesn't work at all), Paid Google Play Store apps (PocketCasts), Some Banking Apps (it detects the Flexpai as "non compliant'), Google Assistant (I really depend on that as a developer), Some Widgets (Currency), Android Wear (Watch while I haven't tested It depends on Play Services), Focals (Smart Glasses), Duo, TextNow, Feedly.
It is a good preview to what a Huawei Phone without Google Play Store/Services will be like : )
I use it as a second device (Foldable Tablet) and I find it quite usable.

I just got update 1.0.27 a couple of days ago (It was huge just over 1.7 GB). I am in Toronto (Rogers). I don't have any connectivity issues though for Wifi I find it weak on 5 Ghz, but LTE is not bad.
Can you confirm you are able to login to GMAIL using the android app (or did you mean via a browser)?

Hi Guys,
Any news about the Google Services in Flexpai?

Not registered for FCM after sideloading GMS

]I don't get notifications from alot of apps. I have side loaded Google services, stopped battery optimisation for apps and manual launch as well. But still not getting notified from alot of apps.
Turns out the reason is that the device is not registered for FCM. That's why none of the apps that use fcm for push notifications come through. Scratching my head as to how to resolve this. Any ideas are welcome.
I installed GMS by the LZplay method last year and have had no problems with notifications except late outlook notifications.
Same problem

I have the same problem, but everything works other than that, but I can't get instant notifications, especially news, sport and some email apps. This has nothing to do with the app's battery optimization.
We need to find a solution to this.

I solved it by removing that google app mess I formatted the phone and left it without google and everything works beautifully. Google must be forgotten if you still haven't understood.

The question is, if we dont sideload google services at all, and install news apps and etc from another apk source, would they still rely on FCM and google for push notifications?

Of course the problem is that when with this method 1 you install the google service framework and the google play service are their cause of the problem because the device is really locked even though it looks like the oaly store etc etc and is blocked by google. The only one that has the working method perhaps is phan phi with method 2 where he managed to create a game console as account management to access without problems with certification...... But it doesn't give the method
I have the same question. I don't know how to solve this problem.
Has anyone found a solution for this? :/ Seems like there's a flaw in this new method of installing GMS. The method before didn't have this issue... Hope someone can come up with a fix soon other than having to use ice box to freeze Google framework...
That is the solution of the notification problem:

It's always the same method icebox style, non difference. We can use PlayStore with this method and on AuroraStore we can buy app and signing with our google account is dangerous cause this last can be banned. Not a good method. We need a real solution, a real certification.
Is it possibile freeze and de-frost system app directly from this app without using every time adb with a pc and without root?
I mean if i give to it Admin permission is there this possibility?

as you know Huawei banned by Google so go for another phone if you want perfect GMS then, as US still banned Huawei and put it in the blacklist so never buy Huawei Phone.

Hi, from where you checked whether notifications are ok or not. I mean is there any app. Because i am also observing weird things about notifications
I use the push notifications app and also the outlook help file app
I can say that whitout google service and google push notification i didnt get notifications for skype, discord, steam, and most email apks tjst use google push notifications. So im forced to install it, also i block google framework so playstore doesent work but notifications work, sometime they stuck i reboot phone and they work again. With unfreezed google framework playstore work but notifications not... I dont need google framework, i remove all my google apks, i use edge instead chrome, omedrive photo instead google photo etc etc... But mu notifications doesent work even on factory reset phone... Except viber but he is instslled from huawei store.
I found a way to get Push Notification working without the Icebox app and freezing Google frame services.

P40 PRO with GMS notifications issues

Hi everyone.
I'm writing this for everyone having problems with notification from some apps.
Right now I not receive notification from:
1. Twitter - not at all. And I can't go into setting for Push notifications
2. Gmail - that's funny. I receive one notification a day around 8-9PM.
3. Youtube - no notifications
4. LinkedIn - no notfications
And some specific apps for my country like: Inpost and OLX.
Share what's your experience with that. Maybe we will find solution.

I am the same. Only WhatsApp gets notifications. All others don't work
I installed GMS just out of curiosity and had the same issue. It seems like one of the Core functionalities of GMS is still incompatible/not working (Firebase). You'd expect WhatsApp to always work as it uses a separate Push service protocol.
Yeah, Gmail definitely does not work. =/
I have a hunch this is all tied to using such an old version of google account manager. (v4 is only version that still works)
This problem is because you are not registered in push notification by gms. Youbhave to choose GMS or push notification for this moment.
Seems like some have got it working, see here: https://mightygadget.co.uk/how-to-install-google-play-storeon-the-huawei-p40-pro-without-notification-errors/

Nice work it was a good guide so thanks . GMS currently running on my P40 pro at the moment no major issues. I did get an error this morning regarding google account services but its gone away and not come back. I also got the autocomplete working on apps just by changing the autofill settings to google and all seems to be working fine (most probably already know this but it may be helpful to some). Only issue i have run into is Netflix is not working with the latest Software update (incompatible device) but I'm sure they will update it soon.

I have only done it via USB, but it shouldn't make any difference at all, as long as you get LZ Play and the APKs on the phone it should work fine.

Play store didn't have Netflix for me, I had to install that via APK Pure, but it works fine for me from there, it will only work in SD though.
I have had the occasional random notification that google can't log in my account, but then it carries on working as normal.

Hey mate, thank you for your work. Just a quick question, do you think Huawei can/will patch these methods in the future? I know they don't allow bootloader unlocking, but they could at least continue to allow people to sideload GMS on their phones. I already ordered a P40 Pro though so it's kinda too late now, but I'm just wondering what people think.

Good question, but there is no way of knowing for sure. I am sure it is possible this method may stop working in the future, but I doubt Huawei would be the ones to prevent it. The general consensus is that neither Huawei or Google wants to be in this situation, Google obviously earns a lot of money from people using their services and Huawei is likely losing a lot of users by not having Google on their phones. The issue will be if Google has political pressure applied to them to stop these workarounds. I don't imagine it is that hard to blacklist devices, or maybe anything running a specific chipset.

Well, aside from installing some apps that might be stealing your credit card details and username/passwords for other apps there is nothing else really ...
I was too tempted to buy the P40 pro after previously owning the P30 pro, but the lack of google services made me change my mind. It's a brilliant phone, sadly.

if you really thinking about seucirty or privacy you wont be using google at all that just doesnt mix. im sure google knows more about you than your parents at the moment.
2nd are you not using 2fa for your bank or your accounts? im sure even somebody tries to login your account with 2fa enabled they have like 0.1% they can access it and make payments for you.
Well, I'm not refering to google, because yes, they know more about me than myself, but when you install the chinese google play services you really don't know what else you are installing. A keylogger would be a fine alternative to steal all your data ... Just a thought.

Mate 30 pro GSF ID

i am wanting to get a mate 30 pro and of course install google services on it...
in almost every video tutorial i saw whether its the mate 30 pro or the mate 30 or the p40 the GSF ID is always the same.
the GSF ID is supposed to be unique to every device yet in these videos they are all the same (see below the two i got from videos).
so in essense 100's if not 1000's of people using the restore method are using the same GSF ID? isnt that dangerous to the google play account its lined to?
I am also curious whether this has to do with the backup we're restoring to the phone.
Also, i am spooked by the big G application. who knows what backdoor it maybe opening?

The big G is the lz play exploit app. I used it to get GMS on my mate 30 Pro last year when it was still an easy fix. I have noticed nothing but I did uninstall it after the fix. Not sure about the most recent fixes? As for the G Id, this could be something like one of Microsoft bulk licensing where one product Id is put on loads of the same PCs ( Dell, HPs etc), not sure but could be something like that? It is obviously from a working account that has been backed up though and copied. But if you need to use GMS, then there is not much choice really.
Is there a working option without crutches now?

Thanks for the reply.
I understand your explanation but as i read about the GSF ID its like a car license number or rather a serial # for a device. this ID could be tied to your google account or rather device serial #.
I now understand why when installing and uninstalling the framework you have to keep retrying to get the ID back...i think its a hole in the google system where it just gives up and assigns it to you.
I dont know. I feel this is dangerous that all of us are sharing one GSF ID from a backup.
If the device was able to be rooted you can generate a new one.
i am sure the people that generated this backup had rooted their device because when the device first launched there was a service to unlock the bootloader. now its no more.
this is the article i am talking about that concerns the GSF ID:

they are probably using the methods everyone is using, putting the phone back in the box and shipping it. i see no other solution. unless root and thats not possible since bootloader unlock services for the device has stopped.
That was how my mate 30 Pro arrived but I reset it and used the lzplay method when it worked back then myself for the sake of it. Good read above, I think we will have to wait a while to see what happens next.

I think we should no longer hope that the USA will grant Google the authorization to work with Huawei seen the tensions between China and the US and the Covid-19 story. I have google spy services up and running since late last year and have no issue, granted my use of google apps is very limited. If we have a backdoor installed through lzplay we will never know but if you have google, wattsapp, fakebook etc installed you can be sure you will be tracked, profiled in one way or the other. That is a fact.

So your suggestions... to get rid of Google in order not to be tracked?
the average consumer has no clue of what lzplay is doing. its the most dangerous app out there using the MDM technique (mentioned above).
today at the mall i saw a girl representative for a reseller company in my country for huawei products and she had it installed.
i warned her and told her she committed a mistake but ppl see their phones working fine and dont worry about it. you wont know if the app is sending or stealing your data...(Well, actually, you can install a firewall app and track which apps are sending data to what destination - thats one way that came to my mind)
The issue remains is: We dont know who created lzplay and made a website and made the app. thats the scary part.
Now, another perception of this could be the following:
MAYBE, just maybe the lzplay was released by huawei themselves and if so then we need not worry. i mean we run on their operating system. they would have no interest in stealing data. they can already do that ...
This is being optimistic and thinking this maybe a fact.
i, myself will not venture into this and wont attempt it. Almost all apps work fine except for one thing: Games that rely on Google play games will fail without having the GMS files installed.
I dont play games so its not a big deal for me.
besides, most games now-a-days give you the option of logging in with facebook or google play games. select facebook and you'll be fine.

I understand your concerns and it is very valid. Over the last 4 months of usage, I have not notice any unauthorised data being sent. I had a filewall installed for removed it just a couple of weeks back.
But again, I can't be 100% sure.

I just do a full reset of my phone with GMS trying only using HMS. So far it's easy with phone clone and Aurora store. The only thing I miss are the notifications from Google and Twitter, but everything else is working perfect.
If you guys have specific questions concerning the GSF ID, I'd be happy to answer them. I'm the author of the aforementioned blog post, as well as several tools that deal with Google Play Services (in case you don't have/want them on your phone).

Is there a way to change de GSF ID of the phone manually? For example give the GSF ID of a Samsung device that works with FCM to a Mate 30 Pro, so that the Mate 30 Pro won't have the notifications issue when GSM are installed.
Or go back to a GSF ID that works perfectly and by mistake the phone's memory has been wiped and now the GSF ID doesn't work to receive FCM notifications.

You are not suppose to change it manually. However, you can always request a new one by clearing the cache of the market app. The GSF ID is kept in that apps database, so if you wanted to change it manually, you'd have to install the android platform tools, use ADB to pull the file (root required), use sqlite3 to make the changes (the key is called "android_id", not GSF ID for legacy reasons), then push the file back to the device. Reboot afterwards.

I used the Windows tools above to change the GSF ID of my un-rooted Samsung Galaxy A325G, and they worked fine... but does anyone know how the new GSFID was determined?
Is it random?
EDIT: I might be able to figure out how it's generated using "Dummy Droid".
[Tool] DummyDroid - GSF ID generator
Dummy Droid is a mainly a companion tool for the Raccoon APK Downloader . It allows you to create hardware profiles for arbitrary Android devices and upload them into your Google Play account, generating a new GSF ID in the process.
Mocks can either be generated by probing an existing device via ADB or be completely made up from scratch. You (may) need this tool if Google Play won't give you access to an app because of device incompatibilities, country or carrier restrictions. You (may) also need this tool if you are an app developer yourself and want to test compatibility filter settings without actually owning the target device.

Motorola XT2125-4 EdgeS Help needed

Hi,
I purchased a new phone a Motorola Edge S (hardware SKU XT2125-4), unfortunately it is a China ROM phone which means it didn't come with Google play store. This was side loaded and I am able to install apps from google. But I have SO many issues with this and I am hoping someone has something helpful to actually use this phone
1. When I try to use Google setup a nearby device (to transfer everything over to this phone), it simply can't find my new phone (despite having bluetooth and location on for both phones
2. I can't restore contacts from google drive even though I can connect
3. I downloaded the MAGISK app, however the file browser is unable to install as the app is not allowed. The toggle to trust the app can not be changed.
I am at a loss as to how to actually use this phone as essentially it's useless at the moment. Any help would be appreciated.
It is already running Android Version 11
Baseband version M55_HI20_209.334.01.60R NIO_PVT_SUPERSDS_CUST
Kernel Version 4.19.136-perf+
Build Number RRN31.Q1-20-17-6
I can provide any / all other information if needed
If the solution is to root the phone, I'm ok with that too, but see point 3.
I'm in the same situation. Purchased the XT2125 as well. Got the Google stuff working by side loading the play store, services and framework. However, initially, while everything else was working, the contacts wouldn't sync. After a few hours of searching, finally came across an article which said that I also needed to side load an apk called google contacts sync and give it permission. Contacts started syncing after that. Fast forward a couple of days and a system update later, SMS are delivered with really long delays and outbound ones fail. Google maps crashes constantly and navigation just doesn't work. I don't know what to do with this phone now honestly, since I need Google maps navigation on a regular basis. Have tried reinstalling maps, resetting permissions, clearing cache and data but nothing seems to work. And with the SMS delay, I can't sign on our complete transactions on a lot of apps because the SMS usually arrives after such a delay that the code has expired. Feels like such a waste of money this phone even though it's supposed to be great bang for the buck.
I am hopeful that when they release the Moto G100 (same phone actually), that we will be able to flash it with this ROM to make it usable.

Wait it's like that with motorola too
I thought it's only like that with xiaomi
Seems like even with motorola it doesn't come with google apps if it's a china rom
Though it was only with xiaomi where if it's a china rom it doesn't come with any google apps guess im wrong

Yeah, I think it's being released in a couple of days. Anyway, I did a factory reset and the maps issues sorted out. Had to go through the pain of sideloading google again but the device is being shown as google play certified, but yeah, would be nice to just have the international rom on it.
Were you able to make any headway with your device? I didn't put a sim in mine but the rest of it seems to be working ok, except Youtube Vanced isn't signing in with a google account.
