You will see for instance around the selfie lenses and at the top of the phone that there seems to be a layer of glass.
I just wonder if this is the gorilla glass layer built in with the phone, or if this is a screen protector of some sort that is installed on top of it and comes with the phone, because my phone looks just the same.
The reason I ask is because I never saw a design like this. I ordered some tempered glass screen protectors but they have not arrived yet.
I don't want to try to "unstick it" to see if it is a screen protector because I'm worried of scratching the side of the glass.

Anyone know of any cases that don't overlap the curved sides of the screen? They feel so nice and I'd hate to cover them up with a case.

Ringke Rearth
You will find 90% of Silicon or TPU cases will cover all of the edges, however most hard covers will not. I would search for hard covers if I were you. Personally I would not leave any part of the edge exposed as just 1 drop on to any part of those exposed areas can and in many cases have cracked the screen on many models. Just be extra careful. It's happened to me twice the second time wasn't my phone
I have The Ringke Slim case. It levels with the curve glass and fits perfectly.
+1 for Ringke Slim. Very nice case on revised edition, fits in like a puppy

Has anyone tried one of these skins? They look very similar to dbrand skins which is what I just ordered, but X gear provides a full body skin for a couple dollars extra?

I'm interested to know as well. Anyone using this or had this for their nexus 4?
bubinga wood skin
I just installed mine tonight. Back of it is flawless and so easy to put on. Feels like real wood. The only beef I have is the front side. It does not protect the actual screen of the phone.....so I tried to install it over my BSE clear skin protector. Wasn't the best move (if perfection was what I was going for) because I ended up ripping the thin sides off to make installation over a barely dried wet applied clear skin. Still looks awesome though and I really really like it overall.
If I had to do it over again....I would have installed the front EXOskin over a tempered glass protector for the complete look. The reason the EXOskin didn't play well with the clear skin already on the phone is that the EXOskin is very adhesive. I think it would have been better over something like tempered glass. That would have given it protection over the actual screen and a wood look elsewhere.
Like I stated though....love mine.
This Ballistic glass screen protector from "Tech Armor" on amazon is really cheap ($16) for galaxy S5 and it's one of the best glass protectors technologies. I bought it for my gf last week.
Tech Armor Samsung Galaxy S5 Premium Ballistic Glass Screen Protector - Protect Your Screen from Scratches and Drops - Maximize Your Resale Value - 99.99% Clarity and Touchscreen Accuracy
-Mina
Now they posted an offer on their official tech armor official website "The first 10 people to email [email protected] will have their choice of HD Clear or Antiglare screen protectors for the Galaxy S5."
Hello,
Will this fit with the spigen tough armour case?
i bought the tempered glass protector along with their case. the case's back is matte-like texture.

I bought a halo screen protector for my s5 and must say how impressed I am. It goes on easy and the corners do not peel up. Recommend to anyone
Just wondering what the majority is thinking of going with (or already has) for their 6P, be it a back-only or full frame skin, a case, both or nothing.
Dbrand skin for me.

Screen protector either Intellisheild Tempered Glass or the Spigen film with a back skin (I have a white dbrand and a galactic slickwrap on order). I have a cheap clear case from Spigen coming too may or may not use that until I find a better case I really like.
Going raw dogg for sure. I will probably get a tempered glass screen protector though.

Skin + clear case. Or, if a good one ever gets released, skin + bumper. Every single shattered screen I've seen from either myself, coworkers, or friends have been from corner impacts.
So I think I came up with a way of protecting the camera lens from getting scratched up. As you might remember, shortly after getting my V10, I discovered the camera lens got pretty badly scratched up. It only affected photos with points of lights, creating a diffraction pattern in the photo. A few weeks ago I ordered and received replacement lens covers from AliExpress.com I got 5 for about $30.00. Had the lens cover replaced for $20.00 at a local cell phone shop.
I use a Spigen slim armor case, but I find that bulky and want to use my aluminum frame instead. So I thought about what I could use to give a bit of a buffer to the lens when laying it down. I came up with the idea of a nylon washer or two. I picked up a pack of 3/8s nylon washers at lowes for about a $1.00. I could not get two washers glued together. so I went with one.
I used a bit of cyanoacrylate (krazy glue) to glue the washer to the lens bezel. I first tested on the scratched up lens to make sure the glue wouldn't create hazing on the lens.
Below are the pictures of the fix:
