There's a way to change language per-app? I wouldn't want to change the system language for a single application

Apps usually use either system language or its own self defined language.
If the app you are referring to is using system language, you can't change that unless the app developer added language options in the app settings.

Hi All!
I am using many language related apps like dictionary where I find Hindi language words, but unfortunately I am not able to read them because I think Hindi font doesn't come preinstalled, so is there any way to enable it Hindi language on my stock or Flashing is the only possibility?

And the "globe/earth" key next to the spacebar? The functionality of the globe is redundant if you can hard press the spacebar for the same action.
Check the checkbox system default language in stock keyboard settings will remove the globe.

Where is it?
Click on Input languages. But I see you have multiple languages selected, don't think you can remove the globe with multiple languages. Try Multiling keyboard app from the PlayStore.

Okay, thanks. If I root my phone, is there a way to just edit the stock keyboard?
Or just buy SwiftKey

Not if you know how to modify the AOSP codes and recompile the stock keyboard. Give Multiling keyboard a try, I'm too using multiple IME and it fits my needs perfectly.
how do i add words to custom dictionary, since i'm mixing words of multiple languages it doesn't recognize them or even whem i'm shortening words.. so i need to increase the recognizeable words. but i can't find how to add words to custom dictionary...
any help would be appreciated...
If you type a word the phone doesn't know it will say 'add to dictionary'. Just tap that and it will add it to the custom dictionary, providing you're using the stock keyboard.

How do I remove something from dictionary I added by mistake?
Solved: Language and input/(samsung keyboard settings)/predictive text/my word list.
you can get an app called "UDM" to manage android native dictionary.

I selected the UK as my country by accident when selecting my language/country. I noticed when I open some apps like amazon it open the UK version. I can't find a way to change it back to English Canada...I know factory reset will help but just spent half the day setting up everything. Plus I'm not at home.

Did you try changing language under the language and input settings? I'm not certain it will fix it but worth a try.

Sankofa is correct. My wife has had this issue with some apps showing different country versions. I'd change your region correctly in Language & Input, uninstall the offending app, reboot and reinstall. Should sort it out.
Yes I changed the language in the settings. Just had to change the settings manually in certain apps.

hello there
I heard the the new update will support some additional language and I wanted to make sure my smartwatch2 is support it
I did the update to the last version and then I went to "settings" from the watch and I couldnt find "language settings"
I know that the smartwatch2 will sync the language automatically but I wanted to check the languages manually
I think they mean support new language to be read on the watch not the interface.

Why not support the language setting?
