Pie vs Oreo stock rom on H932? - General Questions and Answers

I own US998 and the general consensus say that Stock Oreo is more stable than stock Pie in US998.
However, is it the same for H932?
BTW shoutout to the people who still use H932. We still exist lol.

what is the most basic nougat 7.1 rom?

like aosp but updated cause the one we have has no updates
You did not tell us if you have Osprey or Merlin phone. If you have an Osprey, like me:
I guess the ported stock Nougat ROM will be the most basic. Link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/20.../rom-stock-rom-6-0-1-optimized-t3609991/page1
Check this thread for further ROM suggestions for Osprey:

Lineage OS is also a great Nougat rom. Almost AOSP, no heavy customization and great stability
If you do go for more customizations AOSP Extended is great
Pure Nexus ROM: very stable (my daily driver and never found any issue), smooth and very simple and light ROM ?
LineageOS or aosp-caf, I’d say
I agree with @nubry Purenexus is my favorite for a close to AOSP rom.

Can the OnePlus 2 run Oxygen OS 4.0 Nougat Version smoothly?

Hey! I've been using Resurrection Remix since the last 5-6 months. I've had my custom ROM experience and I wish to switch back to the good stock OxygenOS. I was wondering if anyone has flashed Oxygen OS 4.0+ on their One Plus 2, as I was thinking of flashing it because of better interface and obviously, Nougat

Stock 7.1.1 nougat for SM-J700H (J7'15) ?

Since nougat update isn't coming at-the-moment for the j7'15, why not go for custom but stock nougat ROM?
I mean there a lot of custom roms of nougat but it doesn't satisfy some of dem people at all!
All we want is a stock nougat rom!
It can be done by porting it from J700P but I'm not that skilled enough to do it on my own, I've already started trying it out but the thing is I need some partners who can stand beside me and work as a team and in the end it's profit for all of us!
So, how about a go??

Why no Oreo based custom Roms?

Is there a reason why we don't have Oreo based custom Roms on the mare 9? Even the 7.x Roms don't seen to get many updates. Is it because most Devs have moved on to other devices or some other reason?
Maybe I'll stop my journey into the Huawei-world because of the lack of proper developer support. There is no AOSP* available for my Mate9 maybe because of EMUI. I can't even find a recovery for my MEDIAPad 10 lite.
I hate Google for dropping the Nexus series.
If/when the predominant amount of "android" based phones are released with Oreo in the next year, IF they have the full Oreo/project Treble setup, it should make custom roms more of a thing, if I read how project treble is suppose to work.
So in your guys's opinion, is it just better to return to stock Oreo with root on the mare 9 rather than an older custom rom? I feel like I'm stuck with no security updates and don't see that much more of an upside to an old custom vs the latest Oreo. Currently I'm using the latest Romaur but it hasn't been updated since late last year.

Is it possible to go back to OOS

I have a oneplus nord and the custom ROM I installed(crdroid) was discontinued so I am wondering if there is any way to go back to OOS or just another custom ROM
@cactus35
Since it's really difficult to detect the existing base firmware, it's better to restore the OxygenOS firmware from the ground up and then update it to the latest official build before shifting to a recent custom ROM release for the sake of compatibility.
