CLT-L04:
From .59 yo .61
I already have the version .59 according to the tutorial I saw that you updated to .61 how do I update to . 61.
The Google play store works for me normally and I have no problems with Google it will continue like this if it has updated the version .61.
I'm From c605. Reggards.
If you are already on EMUI 10, the only thing you have to use is the BASE package.
BASE: CLT-LGRP2-OVS 10.0.0.161
http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G5416/g1755/v401000/f1/
I will add a guide on how to use Hisuite Proxy.
Best regards
Google play services
Now Google play store si very fine and no problem with certifiec version. The Google play store works for me normally and I have no problems with Google it will continue like this if it has updated the version .61?
THX
And what with C432? ?
You mean .161 ? Because the only build I see regarding the P20 pro is .159 and .161.
If you stay in the same region you won't get any problem using google services (ex: Google Pay)
Even using another region CUST and PRELOAD, the play store will work, it's just that you won't pass
the safetytest. (Google Pay will not work, Netflix too)
But you can change the CUST and PRELOAD later to get back to your region and have a certified device (and you will still get the OTA)
Let's say that you have a CLT-L29 with C432 region and you flash the C782 PRELOAD and CUST package, your phone will not be certified.
But later when the C432 region CUST and PRELOAD are available you can flash them again and your device will be certified like it was
before. (confirmed: 2020-06-09)

You have to setup Hisuite with Hisuite Proxy. I'll add the guide in a few hours.

Ex: You have a CLT-L29 C636 and used the CLT-AL00 (PRELOAD/CUST) before and now your phone is still a CLT-L29 but the version of the build
show up as CLT-AL00(C00). If you get back to L29, C636 everything will be as it was before (generic).
If the build version doesn't match with the model version, it will not pass the safetynet test. (Confirmation needed)
Edit: C432 is not out yet. Probably this week like I said before.

I understand
I will try and i will come back with the result
And it worked
Also passed the safety net test
I had the CLT-L29 C432 model and now managed to successfully upgrade to EMUI 10! I've selected CLT-LGRP2-OVS 10.0.0.161 as BASE and CLT-L29 (C782) as CUST and PRELOAD. Just curious if I'll get the OTA-Update for the C432 model, otherwise I'll just use HiSuite proxy again. No data loss and SafetyNet does NOT fail.

If you upgrade from 9
I recommend an factory reset which be made from recovery mode
Will change the phone drastically
I have 2 major update without factory reset and I have feeled the charge of memory
I haved used the phone for about 1 year and 4 months without a factory reset

That's definitely true! I'll wait however for the C432 version and do an factory reset afterwards, since this is an major update as you said.

I tried this, I have the same model and it always fails to verify package after reboot.
So from what I am seeing, many of you pass the safetynet test even if you used a different PRELOAD/CUST.
This is leading me to think, it's just the build here in Canada that is still not approved by Google. If someone
here has a CLT-L04 and you upgraded to EMUI 10 please verify if it pass the test.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.freeandroidtools.safetynettest&hl=en_CA
For my own information. Also I added to the list CLT-L29 (C301) (new)
And yes a factory reset is a good idea, I was in the same situation, from android 8 to 9, 9.1 to 10.

Not from a logical point of view, when the C432 PRELOAD and CUST package are released, update to get back to a generic phone.

OTA Updates?
EDIT: On Oreo now. EDIT: Is you're stock at an "old" version and the "normal" way of updating via OTA dosn't work try this: Go to system update setting, Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner and select download latest full package. That should give you the latest Nougat updates. For Oreo: Try to use HiSuite
Not all countries receive updates at the same time. Even not all phones in the same country. If you have automatic update enable you'll receive a notification.
Hope so your model belong to the UK (Not sure). If it is UK model, you will get the update within the first batch of release. If you belong to any other region it takes time. But you will get it for sure. Depends on the sponsors in your region, your carrier...

I live in Denmark and bought the phone in Denmark. Don't know if you mean UK model as in European model. I bought the phone off-contract (it's not branded it anything), so it's not depending on any carrier. Well I as have understood it, there is no UK version, only a European version (for Europe).
I have the same model and got the b120 update a few days after it was reported here (i guess most here have the US model). The b150 seems to take longer though

Seems like there are 3 versions (regions) of Honor 8. EU, US and Chinese versions. (32 and 64 gb) Anyone knows or can confirm which models have what versions of Android, as the latest available as we speak? Seems like the EU (FRD-L09/AL19) version is running Android 6.0 - B120 (unbranded - not carrier depending)

As all regions wont get the update in the same time.
Ok, let me put it this way: Has anyone with the FRD-L09 model received the B150/6.0.1 update yet?
B141 is out of the box. B150 is slowly being distributed still. I don't think Asian and EU/US release codes are the same.
India 32GB = FRD-L02 firmware so there's more than 3 regional firmware types
The latest firmware for L09C432 is B131 and that is the EU region, L09C636 is Asia, L09C185 is Africa/Middle East, US is L04, India is L02. Is not just the modell like L09 that says where your phone is from, is the Cust, like C432, C636, C185, then there is Branded phones like C02 is Vodafone, C55 is TIM Italy and so on.... So for your version if u are from Denmark u should have C432 the latest is B131. Then we have China modells like AL10 and DL00, C10.... U have a thread with latest firmware here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/hon...huawei-honor-8-stock-firmware-t3470454/page14

Which CUST does your phone have?
I have cust c209D305 and looking for latest firmware for it.

Which Country did you buy the smartphone? Maybe there is a Full Rom that you download and manual flash the needed files to downgrade.
I purchased from Dubai.
Normally your should look for a firmewire with CUST C185. ---------- Post added at 08:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:32 AM ---------- Other way is you take a Full 701 ROM extract the CUST and needed files to do a downgrade and flash it.
Do you still have p8 max?
Rebranded to C636 and OREO
I have rebrande my mate 9 ,mha-l29c185 to c636 and enrolled into Oreo beta program but i am getting a message "your phone cannot participate in any projects" while other c636 brands are getting Oreo Beta today, what went wrong with me. Screenshots are attached
Try a SIM for that region
I am in Pakistan and the region which is receiving Oreo is Malaysia ?
I didn't know there were C636 users eligible for the Oreo Beta. I thought it was only for C432 users.

Yeah i have seen plenty of update images and post in a Fb group thats why i asked a query, my phone is c636 and i think i am not getting this update due to be in different region.
Trying to decide which region to rebrand to
Have been using my Mate 9 single sim L09 for nearly a year - something I haven't managed with any phone in my life. I love it. Received phone with C185 branding (Middle-East / Africa). Since then I rebranded to C432 (Europe) as there were very slow updates to C185. Now according to Firmware Finder the first regions to get Oreo are C636 (Asia-Pacific), C10 (Russia) and C185 (My original region lol) What region would you rebrand to if you had a choice? Do you think we get monthly security updates on any region in 2018 now? TLDR: Should have stayed on C185 Africa region
Can I rebrand AND update to Oreo simultaneously?
Hi everybody, I've seen many guides on how to rebrand Mate 9 and on how to update to Oreo... But as I'm a beginner on this subject I would like to know if there is a way to do BOTH at the same time: I've got a chinese MHA-AL00 running stock Nougat and I'm tired of all those chinese notifications and HiApp crap.... I want to rebrand to C432 or c636 (don't know the difference) to get full Google integration (mainly for Assistant support) instead of that HiApp sh*t.... Can I flash it directly to an international Oreo?

Click to collapse I think you should rebrand while on Nougat to C432 (Europe) or C636 (Singapore if I'm correct) and then update to Oreo using the OTA in system settings. I rebranded from AL00 too to C432 and had the Oreo update via OTA. There is a good comprehensive guide somewhere here about rebranding.
You can. Here is the method, only difference that you have to choose rebrand at the software instead of flash update.
