Great Xperia users ~! help me - Sony Xperia XZ Premium Questions & Answers

Great Xperia users ~! The Xperia non-official program
There are so many that my mind is getting confused
I have 2 questions and leave a post
Question 1
The Japanese version is an nfc that has a completely different specification from the global version.
So if you replace the firmware with a different version in the Japanese version
I know you can't use nfc,
I wonder if it is impossible to replace the ROM with another country version
(Example: Brick)
Question 2
During the volte patching process, Xperia is not only changing the efs file.
I need to change the oem file, but can I disassemble the file from modem.sin?
Please help me, I am a complete beginner If you can help me, I will donate

[Q] How to convert ME722 chinese to english

Hi everyone!
I'm new here, looks like a great place. I'm not a programer but a techy. I need a little advice. I hope you dont mind helping.
I bought a phone in China that I need to convert to an english version but I'm very confused as to exactly how to do this (steps) and which files are best to use.
I think the phone is the same as a Milestone 2, it is model ME722 which has chinese OS 2.6.0.me722.chinaretail.en.cn / android version 2.2.2 / kernel version 2.6.32.9-g2bc8abf.
I work in china and US but cant read chinese. Right now I use a chinese SD card when in China and a US SD card when in US. After looking around I see some people have used a UK rom file but I have no idea of the steps or if this is the best file to use to do this. Will this convert the OS to english with updated english apps pre installed? What is the model number of the UK phone and might a manual be available some place for it that is in english.
This is my first droid and it apears that unless I use Motoblur I dont have some functions like email and ability to search and download apps. I would prfer to not have Motoblur and want just a open access phone. I would like to have Google play apps such as translat, that would be helpful.
Any help that you can give would be very apreceated.
Thanks, Bill

[Q]Custom Firmware to sony smartwatch mn2?

hello to all dev's, last week I adquired a Sony smartwatch nm2 , I'm intrigued and I read some threads in other forums on xda and technology that they reads that sony release code base of this device. Excuse my ignorance and I don't compile:silly:. Could anybody develop a custom firmware for this device please?. Thanks in advance. Regards from Argentina
Hi there. I just got one of these myself. I was actually going to start a new thread asking if it would be possible to install another smartwatch image (i.e. pebble time firmware) onto the sony smartwatch mn2, when I found your thread. I see that no one responded. So, I'm assuming this is not a very in demand option.
I also found some info on pebble apps onto Sony Smartwatches - here is the link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2755270
There was also an older link to a Custom ROM - here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759130
Not sure if you're even still monitoring this thread or if you've moved on.
Anyway, take care & Happy New Year!
Dan

[Q] New Model in Perú

Dear Developers. I have q Bitel 8403 and it has the androd 2.3.6 version. I wolud like to update it to android 4.4 o 4.2 if that is possible. Please could somebody help me. I have the file in order to unblock but i would like to update and put it on the web and people can use it and improve their cell phones. Thank you so much!
No custom ROM/kernel support for Chinese devices you know (It's from Chinese OEM with crappy MTK chipset that stuck on JB or something like that without any Open source support)...However you can install recovery for it....Head to MTK thread on XDA....

Is "Superuser mode" available for 5.1.1 (546) ?

I'm talking about a patched/modified services.jar that disables signature verification; so you can use older/newer/exclusive apps from other devices...Is it available for the Z3 series?
I'm desperate. 5 days have been since the Z3 series started receiving 5.1 and the Z2 is still waiting! I've been reading in some posts that the live wallpaper and themes from the Z3+ are not working in 5.1 but nobody tells exactly what is the problem.
Since the Z2 may receive almost the same 546 build numer, I modified a services.jar following step by step THIS TUTORIAL
If somebody knows how to use it, and how to recover from a bootloop feel free to try: http://www.mediafire.com/download/wr3hrquhictfybv/services.jar
I DON'T KNOW IF IT WILL BREAK OPENGL ES
If it works and you want to use it on your ROM o other work just give me some credits :silly:
Please understand that I can't do a lot without a device running 5.1, if it doesn't work I will ask a mod to delete/close this thread. Remember that messing around with the framework can lead to a bootloop. If you don't know how to install or how to recover from a bootloop don't try anything! Just wait for a flashable zip.

Hi,
Nice thread bro! I'm running a xperia z2 stock 5.1.1 .546 rooted (so the mod should work on all .546 devices). I just wanted to volunteer for testing your mod. PM me for anything I need to know. I can test for ya!!
Thanks,
Mohamed

Want a LBL Lollipop root method for the Xperia C3? Keep reading.

Hi all!
I'm happy to say that, thanks to iovyroot, and with a lot of help from zxz0O0, we managed to create a new root tool for the Xperia M2, EagleRootTool, meaning we don't actually need to use Kingroot anymore to root LBL devices under latest Lollipop firmware :victory:
However, since this root binary is compatible with (probably) any kernel built before December 2015, I thought of making the tool compatible with some other devices, like your C3, since it's actually very similar to my device.
Unfortunately, since it requires some kernel-specific addresses, to make it compatible with other devices like the C3, I need them from every single variant.
I'm going to take for reference all models and firmware build numbers from XperiFirm.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- An already rooted device in 19.4.A.0.182 (it doesn't matter if it was rooted by Kingroot, or via UBL methods).
- A little of Android general knowledge: Usage of ADB (mainly).
- Patience.
DEVICES:
- D2533 ✓
- D2502
HOW TO DO IT?:
Just open an ADB prompt and run a shell in it. Then, run the following commands, replacing the *location with storage/sdcard1 if you want to use your SD Card, or with data/media/0 if you want to use the internal memory.
Code:
su
cat /proc/version > /[COLOR="Purple"]*[/COLOR][COLOR="red"]location[/COLOR]/version.txt
echo 1 > /proc/sys/kernel/kptr_restrict
cat /proc/kallsyms > /[COLOR="Purple"]*[/COLOR][COLOR="red"]location[/COLOR]/kallsyms.txt
(remember to hit enter after each line of the above :silly
Now upload those two files (version.txt & kallsyms.txt) wherever you want, or attach them in your comment, saying which model they're from, and I'll add the required offsets to support your device manually!

DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a placeholder NOR Spam thread. I just want to help this device users to get them supported in a common Lollipop Xperia rooting toolkit, since this device won't get Marshmallow, and has a compatible kernel. If you, moderator or user, decide to close/report this thread, I may understand it, but think it twice before doing it.

Sounds like a plan. I'll do it when I get the chance, just one question though. Did the C3/T2U/M2 lose any special features when the bootloader got unlocked?

Indeed, and I've already added support for the Xperia Z, Z1 and Z1c, just want to support as many devices as possible

If you're talking about DRM keys, no, they don't make you loose any functionality.

I got the files you need. Hopefully this will inspire development in the lesser known devices.

Xperia C3 (D2533) running stock 5.1.1 UB.
Edit: Not sure if relevant but running a Z2 framework.

The device is supported, and has been succesfully added, here you can have a look: https://github.com/sergiocastell/iovyroot/blob/patch-1/jni/offsets.c#L285
Thank you ^_^
inb4 the D2502 model also has the same kernel offsets, but it'd be nice if someone posted them, just to be sure
