Hi there!
Does anyone have the Japanese application for the Z3 and the Z3 Compact?
I travel to Japan a lot and enabling the builtin 1SEG tuner will keep me occupied for many hours crammed on a train or stuck in the office.
Any help would not only be amazing but awesome!
Kind regards,
Haji!
what kind of applications are you talking about?

There are a whole range of applications which are enabled on the Japanese Xperia Z3 / Z3 Compact:
Digital TV - One Seg tuner (ワンセグ)
Osaifu Keitai - Digital wallet using the NFC (おサイフケータイ)
These apps have no use overseas except the Digital TV - One Seg tuner (ワンセグ) which can be used in Brasil but for me they will be useful in Japan!
Also the firmware provided for Docomo have extra quick settings like glove mode.
~Haji!
What is your Z3 variant? Is it the international models? Because if yes i don't think they have 1 seg tuner and therefore it follows that the apps would be useless since there is no hardware inside that would support it

1seg is included in international models this time (oceania). . . just the application is not installed. . . This has been advertised by Sony!!!
It wasn't installed locally as people would wonder why this "Digital television" fails to work ~ as 1SEG is not in use in Oz. . .
Demand great! ! !

[Same for compact]
Page 12 of the whitepaper:
"* This service is not available in all markets. Digital TV is only available for the D6643 model"
Sorry dude
Saw this one on a white paper. It seems that not all z3 variants will not have tv tuner and only on the D6643 which is the model released in Brazil. Japan Z3 like from docomo, KDDI and softbank have 1 Seg hardware support

By the way, i tried installing 1seg tv app from playstore and it won't work because i guess my Z3 don't have 1seg (mine is d6633, the dual sim version)

Which application from google play? There are many 1SEG apps for different hardware. . . One app will not operate on all hardware
The docs where showing on the Australian website that 1seg was included (see above) if it's a misrepresentation an iteration of apologies would be nice [that is all].
I still would like have O-saifu-Keitai which will save me from holding onto a separate Suica/ICOCA card I can store my ID card there instead. Also want to look at the coding on the "[email protected]#$NG Awesome" Quick settings they have, much more options to enable disable like glove mode (Oceania version lacks this). These will function regardless as its generic coding

[The fight between Apple and Samsung]
Today we are living in the era of intelligence, and the function of the mobile has also become more and more rich, and some mainstream mobiles even support print function, so is the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 smartphone. Here we will make a detailed introduction of the mobile print function for you.
Mobile Print Function Specific Using Method:
Step 1:
Enter the Setting-Printing interface, and click "Add service", it will adjust to the Google Play website, but you can't visit it. By searching the data on the Internet and compared with the printing interface of the Nexus, the Add Service can add the Yun printing and HP prin plugs. However, because the Yun print needs the supporting of the Google account and Google server, it can't be used in domestic. So you can download the "HP Print Service Plug" in our domestic apps stores.
Step 2:
As to the HP Print Service Plug:
Click "HP Print Service Plug", the "Searching the printer" interface will appear.
You can also add the printer by yourself:
Click the button in the lower-right corner of the window, and enter the adding printer interface, just by clicking and you can use it.
Step 3:
WiFi Network connected to the printer or just directly connected.
Click "Using WiFi network", it will open a pop-up frame of "Add printer".
190704 - WhatsApp installs new rootkit, yet undetected by all major security softwares
https://zenosloim.blogspot.com/2019/07/190704-whatsapp-installs-new-rootkit.html
You thought WhatsApp has solved its "exploits" used by state intelligence communities from USA, Great Britain, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Israel?
Nope.
You can also wonder if it was an exploit, or an "actively tolerated" backdoor ordered by NSA, GCHQ.
And "developed" with Israeli programmers support.
In any case, between 27 of june 2019 and 1 of july 2019, I managed to neutralize and identify a new type of Android rootkit, which was completely undetected by Symantec, Kaspersky, Avast/AVG, ESET.
The rootkit was detected by an indirect method which I will describe here. And eliminated also.
However, THANK YOU, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and especially Israel for the honour accorded to my person, and my swedish phone number: +46 720 329614.
I will technically describe how I detected and eliminated the rootkit, so that your programmers will "correct" the mistakes done, and improve your rootkit for better undetected use.
Same rootkit is also spread packaged with various popular softwares, made available via a "curiously tolerated by US authorities" piracy site, "forum.mobilism.org".
Used devices:
Motorola G6 Plus rooted with latest Magisk, Xposed;
Windows Desktop PC
Windows Software:
Symantec Endpoint Protection
Android Softwares:
Kaspersky Mobile Antivirus AppLock & Web Security
Avast Antivirus Mobile Security & Virus Cleaner
ESET Mobile Security & Antivirus
Marcel Bokhorst NetGuard Pro
3C Battery Monitor Widget Pro
GSam Labs GSam Battery Monitor Pro
Install all needed softwares above.
Configure NetGuard Pro to block anything on Mobile Data and WiFi.
Install/reinstall WhatsApp or some of the softwares "released" on "forum.mobilism.org" between 27 june 2019 and 30 june 2019.
Assume your person is an "interesting profile" for The 5 Eyes Community (US+UK+CA+AU+NZ) or Israel.
It's enough your number is called or you make just one call.
Open WiFi. Keep it open few minutes. Then close WiFi.
Wait at least 12 hours, do not use the phone or the WiFi in it.
The rootkit will trigger itself, trying to send the logged data from your device.
There is a "bug" in the rootkit which will do the following: if it can not send logged data for at least 12 hours, because it is blocked by firewall (used latest version actual for the time period named - possible the author to be "bought" by the affected 5 Eyes + Israel - not sure if future versions will successfully block the rootkit), the rootkit will infect the process "com.motorola.modemservice", in practice "hammering" the phone modem, to be able to force-sending via mobile data, the logged data.
Not being able, this "hammering" will result in an indirect higher power consumption, detected by both 3C Battery Monitor Widget Pro and GSam Labs GSam Battery Monitor Pro.
Connect the phone to PC, and do a complete device scan via adb with Symantec Endpoint Protection.
As you guessed, Symantec being a US registered company, it will detect nothing.
Now do same full device scan (apps, apks, files, processes, memory) with ESET.
ESET is Slovakia native, but operates in USA, hence do not expect to detect something, confirmed.
Do not expect they will make public the evidence registered from my phone.
Now do same full device scan with Avast/AVG.
Czechia native, operating in USA, same result as ESET, nothing detected.
Do not expect they will make public the evidence registered from my phone.
Now the interesting part, use latest Kaspersky Mobile Antivirus AppLock & Web Security.
Unfortunately, Kaspersky is not able to detect the rootkit.
I do hope that Kaspersky will inspect their logs and identify my Motorola G6 Plus scanned by them, to create an identifying signature for the rootkit.
All evidence exists registered at Kaspersky.
So, no actual security software for Windows or Android was able to detect the rootkit.
Clear sign it is a new developed cyberweapon by USA, UK, CA, AU, NZ and Israel.
Eliminating the rootkit.
As no software was able to detect it, only solution was a factory reset of the phone.
Disabled automatically update/install from Google Play to avoid auto reinstalling previous installed softwares, including WhatsApp.
Be very cautious when installing pirated softwares from "forum.mobilism.org", the fact they are "tolerated" by USA authorities, says a lot.
Thinking of "Piracy", "Double Moral", "Money Laundering", "Criminal activities on internet", think of 2 things:
Who are the main "remained tax paradises" ? Mostly USA and UK colonies. (according to United Nation and Interpol statistics)
Which countries receive with open arms "fugitives tax-payers and money lounderers" as "strategic investors" ? UK, Israel. (according to United Nation and Interpol statistics)
This is double moral.
Hello,
I recently signed up to the SMARTY UK phone network, which is owned by and operates on Three. Great value, but for some reason I'm having issues connecting to many sites and apps - half the internet works, half doesn't! Their customer service haven't been able to help. So if you're up for a challenge, I've listed below the details and everything I've tried so far. Hopefully someone with the technical understanding will be able to advise what is happening here.
Issue: Many websites return the following error...
This page isn’t working
yahoo.com didn’t send any data.
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
Click to collapse
Note: This is a generic error meaning it can't connect to the website.
My phone: Samsung Galaxy S9 - from Australia, where I recently returned from, but is the G960F "Global/Europe, single SIM" model (specs here). Android 10.
Network: SMARTY. They use frequency bands 1 (2100MHz), 3 (1800MHz) and 20 (800MHz) according to 4g.co.uk. All these are supported by my phone if I'm not mistaken.
Network status: I have a strong, 4G connection in London E10 with the recommended APN settings. The default APN is three.co.uk but their site says to use mob.asm.net. I've tried both, restarting phone each time. Also tried the APN Type as both 'Default' and '*'. The networks adult filter is turned OFF.
What about other UK SIMs?
Asda Mobile (EE) and Giffgaff (O2) both work fine in the phone.
What about when you try it in a different phone?
When the SIM is in my partners iPhone, all websites work.
Running through a list of most popular websites, as well as others I've tested, here's some websites that do and do not work, to see if anyone can identify some trends:
Examples of websites that load successfully:
Google.com, Google.co.uk
Wikipedia.org
Duckduckgo.com
Reddit.com
Qq.com (China)
Microsoft.com
Bing.com
Ebay.com, ebay.co.uk
Indeed.co.uk (not dot com)
Examples of websites that fail to load:
Yahoo.com
Amazon.com
Google.com.hk (Hong Kong)
Baidu.com (China)
Vk.com (Russia)
Indeed.com
Example.com
Avforums.com
xda-developers.com
Androidforums.com
DNS
I've tried using different DNS servers - Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8), OpenDNS, 1.1.1.1, etc. and restarting to no avail.
Tor
When I connect through Tor (e.g. Orbot app), as I am now to post this, all sites work.
Many thanks,
Chris
Hello,
I bought my OP7Pro when I was living in Netherlands. Now that I live in Indonesia, I notice that my phone doesn't detect all WLAN 5GHz channels allowed in here, only channels 149-161.
Based on Wikipedia, channels 32-48 & 52-68 are also allowed though indoors only. I found out that channels 149-161 are allowed initially while the rest follow a few years later.
The problem is that my device only follows the initial regulation but not the latter one so it cannot detect nor join WLAN with channels 32-68 while in Indonesia.
Is there a way I can do that?
Thank you in advance!
I tested Wifi Codes app but it crashes probably because it's too old.
From this post and this post, it looks like Android sets the WLAN country based on the SIM card country data so that makes me think that the country rules DB used in Oxygen OS is out-of-date or something like that as other Android devices sold here can detect all proper channels.
