So I have this tablet, thanks to my little nephew who loaded it up with tons of games and viruses/ads (he's 8 yrs old) so he asked me to repair it for him. My problem is that I can't seem to find any relevant info on this tablet, not even on the manufacturer's website , which i find truly strange not to find it there and it's not a very well designed site either. Does anyone know of any software for this tablet to restore or upgrade firmware on this equipment? Can it be TWRP'd or CWM'd?? Are there any Custom ROM's for it? I'm kind of assuming most answers will be hard no's due to the Intel Processor in this thing.
According to CPU-Z this are the specs:

UPDATE 5/30/2020: I contacted the manufacturer GHIA and they responded quickly indicating this tablet is supposed to match up with the GHIA Agile A7i and even provided me this direct link to download the manual and firmware updates. It contains the IntelAndroidDrvSetup 1.1.5, iSocUSB Driver 1.0.1, and PhoneFlashTool 3.1.8.2 (win32) executables. I couldn't get the 1.1.5 or 3.1.8.2 files to launch, it gave me a "admin user has blocked these programs..." error msg even though I ran them as Admin. So instead, I downloaded updated versions of these programs and they installed fine (IntelAndroidDrvSetup 1.10.0, iSocUSB 1.2.0 & PhoneFlashToolLite 5.8.4.0). I was able to flash the firmware using PhoneFlashToolLite 5.3.2.0 which did give the tablet a better touchscreen response and eliminated the lag i saw originally (process is rather lengthy), but it did remain on kitkat 4.4.2 and no root access. It does offer the option to apply firmware updates locally via the system updates menu (online updates wouldn't connect to network), but I couldn't locate the correct directory in order for the system to recognize them that way.
I'm not familiar at all with the Droidboot Provision OS bootloader, albeit it looks pretty cool and useful. Unfortunately I couldn't find adb/fastboot commands that work with it to unlock the bootloader and be able to flash a custom recovery like TWRP/CWM (perhaps ported?) or get a custom ROM on it either. One major flaw i did noticed though is that not many games from the Google Play Store work at all even though they install but just FC. Surprisingly enough, it did allow you to uninstall any app it comes bundled with, so good for bloatware cleanup. I welcome any feedback anyone may have on this little tablet.

While there is a less than useful thread for a similar model, Matricom Quantum, there are apparently significant differences to warrant a unique thread if not section.
Matricom shipped tablets with the prior android version, 4.2.2, already root with su and SuperUser.apk installed. Newer batches although not changing the amazon descriptors shipped with "upgraded" android 4.4.2 but no longer root from factory For those [many] users who do not have a windows license [and who are not members of the eye patch crowd] seem to have no root recourse. Those with windows are advised by the manufacturer [through interaction via amazon fba] to install kingo which is the adware flavor of malware.
Please help us root Matricom Iota [without windows]: OSX 10.9.4+ Or Ubuntu 14 LTS
16 gig NAND
1 gig RAM ddr3
Quadcore A31S 1.5+ GHz
PowerVR (not mail400 as indicated elsewhere)
IPS screen 1280x800 (over 4 devices each has had at least one hot-pixel)
twelve dozen dollars USD
10-touch capacitance
6000 maH
The product page is a bit out of sync as it suggests flashing firmware for their xbmc STB. Both their internal support forums- and obscured ticket system were of no help on this topic.
web: matricom.net/gtabiota/
Towel root: fails auto, fails in 56 manual permutations.
There are too many nuanced differences from the reference design to use Onda firmware on matricom. (it does change bootlogo, does add su, busybox and SuperUser.apk but unable to mount /system as RW leaving it seemingly root albeit non-functionally)
Hi guys, im not a noob when it comes to rooting but this new tablet is giving me a headache and i dont know what to do now.
So far, I have tried many one click apps, even ones for the pc... Even chinese ones and nothing has managed to root it.
Here is the device details...

Any advice on how to obtain root would be fantastic.
Update
Right, I read on another forum about Chinese phones and tablets with a certain type of chipset can have the firmware / rom copied directly from the device in the form of a scatter file which you then use to create the image on your pc.
I already tried the tools but unfortunately, the software is not compatible with my tablets hardware.
I have now sent an email to the manufacturer explaining that my tablet is stuck in a bootloop and even the reset pin and recovery modes won't work and have requested a copy of the original firmware to flash to my device.
If I am successful in obtaining a copy of the firmware / rom, is there a guide explaining how to modify it in order to root it and how to make a recovery compatible with my device.
At the moment, this is all relying on me getting the firmware / rom from the manufacturer but, if I am successful, I will share my modded + rooted rom with the rest of xda.
While I am waiting for a response from the manufacturer, does anyone know if it is possible to "rip" the current rom / bootloader / etc from the tablet, just in case they don't send me the files I requested?
Any news on this at all? I have an 8inch cello win 8 tablet that won't start up so any future info on cello tablets would be handy.
Any news?
Hello!
I was looking for a rom for my empire electronix 10.1" tablet, with an RK3168 inside.
Also to root it and to unlock the bootloader, but after really reading and reading...More as an month, i got stuck.
Rooting was only possible with rootking, supersu doesnt work.
Bootloader, cant find any info how to do this with my tablet. And trying to give commands in terminal it gave me no acces.
Rom, well il quess after searching the web even with my firmcode, it leaves me without any option..
But, with trying and reading how to make the 4.2.2 os work quicker i got some progress. There are still some tweaks but i dont wane go further on without..A backup.
I flash some android boxes and tweak it, but i thought its nice to make this older hardware working faster and i learn something besides it.
But i hope someone can help me a little bit, as we say in my country..Due to the many trees, i cant see the forrest anymore..
What i hope is possible is to first make a backup off my stock rom, android Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
What i understand correct me if i am wrong, is that most apps like Twrp an cmr and so on, are based on a fitting recovery of the stock rom..And if that's correct i cant use them, but are there maybe another tools or solution to do this.
I read about them, but for example mtk, is only for that brand not for my empire tablet.Or not..
Here some specs, and a thank you!

I’m sure this must have been asked so many times before " how to root my car head unit", (I've searched here but still no luck) I’ve googled and googles but still can’t get my Allwinner T3 P2 head unit with Android 5.1 rooted, on the box the head unit came in it’s called it RM-CT0008
I’ve had the head unit for around 3 weeks now and must have used at one point or another most of what root apps Goggle throws at me
the ones I can still remember using are
KingoRoot
Iroot
Framaroot
OneClickRoot
Poot-debug
toweIroot
Baidu easy Root
Root-master
KingRoot
(and maybe a few more I forgot)
to check to see if I’m rooted I’ve used
Root Check
Root Checker Basic
Root Browser
SU Root Checker
Superuser
All say I’m not rooted, but one. Root Checker say’s I am rooted
I’ve tried to use apps that need the head unit to be rooted to use and they don’t work (as expected)
In the settings I have “Stay awake” checked and also “USB debuting” checked
I’d like to get my head unit rooted only so I can have the “bootanimation.zip” file changed to one of my own “bootanimation.zip” file
I’ve had the movie converted in to a set of png images, a seven second movie clip turned in to 71 images all sized up to my screen resolution of 1024 x 600 and numbered form “00001.png” to “00071.png” = 10 images per second
in the bootanimation.zip file contains a folder named “part0” with all the images and a “desc.txt” file, containing this:
1024 600 10
p 0 0 part0
and a line return under the “p 0 0 part0” file
but after every attempt at rooting and restarting/booting the head unit, when I go to copy to move my custom bootanimation file in to system>media,
I get a pop up with a progress bar, above it a message “copy task failed” and below the progress bar I get another error message:
system/media/bootanimation.zip open failed, ERROR (Read only file system)
As mentioned, I’ve been doing a lot of googling in these past couple of weeks but still no luck.
further information if it will be of help

in passing, I’ve also tried to install some “live wallpaper” also with no luck, would this be due to not being rooted?
(I can’t say I understand much of this above here, also if it’s of help, I’m using a Mac, and have access to a chrome book)
greatly appreciated for any information that can get me to load my custom bootanimation
I was also thinking, could this head unit have its OS upgraded from 5.1 to 6?
Nobody can't help?
