HD Tweaks or Advanced Configuration Tools 3.3 for our TOPAZ?

Dear friends,
it is the first time that I'm writing here...but I'm reading since weeks this nice and helpfull forum!
Reading around I understood that installing one of the two a.m. tweaks/tools it will be possible to costumize a lot our Topaz.
Could you confirm that it is also possible to solve the "flashing light time" (to always ON) after receiveing mails or sms?
Could you suggest me if both mentioned software are suitable for TOPAZ?
Which one is better to use?
Thank you in advance for your support
Best regards

For this purpose (LED blinking) there is no need to install a tool. Just set it in the preferences of notifications.
Generally:
Which Tweaks-Collection is compatible with Topaz? Issues?

I'm sorry Tatsch but in Topaz original menu into preference of notification there is no option to set about blinking light "always ON" (always blinking, up to sms reading) after receipt of a sms.
Could you check and give us details?
The option doesn't exist for every item. Choose "New SMS".
I can take a screenshot if you want, but text is in german language.
Dear Tatsch I'm sorry but on my Diamond2 into "preferences of notifications" about "new sms" I have only below options:
- sound (where it is possible to choose it)
- show message on screen
- switch on screen for "x" minutes
- vibration
I have put the flag (to enable) to all the 3 last option mentioned above but without good results...especially about "flashing light time" that I would like to have "always switch ON" up to I will read the sms...
Any other suggestions?

This is not the regular option. In this place the LED-Blinking ist to be set.
Maybe you have changed the meaning/function of the option with a tool?
Advanced Config
I found the tweak versions so not always actually apply the changes, and found I preferred to Advance Config as i'm more familair with it.
Advanced Configuration Tools 3.3 work on my diamond 2 run on WM6.1
So it does in mine, softkeys already remapped.

[Q] Custom auto brightness setting?

I want to use auto brightness, but the auto brightness on this phone set the screen too dim most of the time.
When I was using Cyanogenmod 7 on my HTC Desire, the rom allows one to customize the auto brightness settings (light sensor threshold, screen brightness at each level etc.) Is there any app on the market that can do the same thing?
I have the same problem. But I want it to be darker. Does anybody know how to adjust the auto brightness?
Pull down the notification window. Click quick settings and you will see it right there

That's not what I'm looking for. I want automatic adjustment but not so bright as it is now.
Just want to add myself as another user who is in need of this feature. I can code, but I have no mobile dev experience/patience
Just to be clear, you want a manual auto-brightness setting? Just use a ROM that includes manual brightness in the notification bar.

Yes, that's right. I`m using LeeDroid and that rom doesn't have that option.
Nobody knows?
Maybe here is the start... I have not used it.

I would say what's needed is more like the ability to add or subtract brightness values from what the phone thinks the screen brightness should be.
So say the phone decides 70% is the right brightness, but you think actually it's brighter than it needs to be, you can set to always subtract 20% etc.
Conversely if you think the screen is always too dark, you can set it to always add 20% etc.
Would be a handy app to have.
Not sure why the custom auto brighness app needs to know where you are or have full internet access though...
Doesnt CM7 have this feature?

Setting Tasker to Dim the screen?

Hi,
Does anyone know a way to get Tasker to dim the screen but not turn it off? When I use in the car, I prefer to have the screen on all the time - but even on 0 brightness it can be too bright at times. Is there a way I can set the backlight to dim/timeout but not turn the screen off?
You can use the third party app "screen filter" (free in play store) and configure it via tasker. It enables an screen overlay.

Cheers, will try it

Can you set up profiles for time of use?

Hello,
Is there a way of having a convenient method of turning off everything except heart rate detection, for sleep? So when you're off to sleep, just select 'sleep profile' (or whatever) and it turns all notifications off, turns off wifi, bluetooth, screen, wakeup gesture etc etc. Just to save battery and stuff.
Thanks!
