You want to install XXX to increase battery life? I'm not sure that's the reason. While xxx is not a battery hog, I'm not sure that it will stop your battery drain, if you have it.

Has anyone successfully done this? I'm new to the forum so sorry if its the wrong section....I want to remove the battery percentage from inside the battery and just use the system style where its beside the battery....

Try flashing a battery from ROM Toolbox, after you make a backup of course.
If it doesn't boot, or crashes -- who cares!! Lol. Restore your nandroid and boom! you know now.
And please share your results

Also, post to the ROM's thread... When you have a question about sports cars why would you ask in the general cars forum instead of the sports cars forum???

I may be wrong but there is an aroma installer in the themes section for beans Rom that has different battery options.
I have never installed xposed before and was wondering if it degraded performance or battery life any. My phone is running GREAT and I would hate to muck it up.

Anyone? Would I be correct to say that installing xposed on android is like installing dot net on windows. Its just a library that doesn't do anything itself but allows certain programs to run?
Sent from my locked but not stocked XT1080 using XDA Free mobile app
yes you are right in that aspect. it injects itself into the framework.jar and allowed the modules to alter on a system level without the need of custom roms.
---------- Post added at 06:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:54 PM ----------
if it degraded performance it would be from the modules effects not xposed.

Thanks.
I'll be flashing xposed this weekend. I live in a verizon dead spot and my phone kills itself searching for signal so I want to try intelli3g and see if it helps with my battery life.

no prob. it can be a pain dealing with some of the module effects. but at least if you install it you don't have to worry about flashing roms
2 weeks uptime without issues since I rooted.

Hi the friends !
After 2 years of change of rom, I do not always know which rom choose with a best autonomy and good performance.. :silly:
I use my phone every day to play and naviguate :good:

Sorry for my english, bye !
Try Purenexus rom with squid kernel (no tweaks) this is my daily driver rom (I've been using it for 2 month and so far so good)!
ViperOS is the best!

I have the 2gb version and working awesomely! Idk if my phone is getting old or whatever but looks like no rom can manage to make the battery last more than 3h SOT.. it is pretty crappy knowing I don't play game at all...

Hi Everyone,
I am using a XZ Premium dual card (G8142) bought from China, the current rom for me is official Hong Kong 47.2.A.10.107
This phone works quite well before upgraded to Android 9, but now it crashes sometimes which is very annoying.
Sometimes it crashes when playing games, but not limited to that.
I am looking for a stable rom so I can enjoy maybe another year with XZ premium
Thanks in advance
Been using Carbon rom since october, rom performance is best.
yeah carbon is the most stable from what i have experienced. the lineage 16 is a constant battery drain cause the creator overclocked the cpu, the remix has sluggish in certain area's, and the sodp aosp 10 is a bug nightmare. I got it barely stable but was limited to stock aosp camera only so i gave up on it.
Thank u guys

For me, eXistenZ (patch for stock rom, but might as well be a full rom) is the most stable.

I agree. I keep coming back to it for it's stability and customization and Gcam works, if that's important.

How did you make Gcam work? I've been trying on my XZP but no luck. Flashed camera2 api on magisk already.
Used apk in this thread.

**** Disclaimer: I'm not responsible if you destroy your device. Use at your own risk!!! ****
I have only tested on lineage os but It should work on any los/aosp based rom that uses los device tree's. try at your own risk and report back. if I get enough reports of the kernel working on other roms I will make a list of rom's this has been successfully used with
InSaNiTy Kernel for the oneplus 7 pro
The goal of this kernel is a stable daily driver kernel that provides a good mix of performance and battery life. I will not include every feature known to man in this kernel. I will include what I want on my device and what I feel should be included for a good daily driver.
Features include:
Boeffla wake lock blocker
Adreno boost from Flar2 (disabled by default)
Fsync on/off switch (Fsync disabled by default)
msm watchdog disabled (there is really no point to having it enabled)
reduced overhead and latency in the back end where ever possible
passes safety net check
file systems mounted with noatime
disabled excessive debugging
cpu scaling tweaked for better battery life without sacrificing performance
more to come
Flashing instructions flash boot.img in fastboot and reboot
this link will always be to the most recent version

What kernel were you running before? I've not looked much into idle draw yet in my use over only looked at my daily use battery life on the stock lineage kernel vs my kernel.

New version release
New version 0.5 has been released. Download link is in OP. lots of changes. change log can be viewed on my github. should take care of any power drain issues people might have been having. I have had no power drain issues but I've had 2 reports of power drain issues at idle.
installed on my oneplus 7 pro with stock rom 10.3.3 and mod no limits .. the phone lost the touch function on the screen to turn on the digital unlock option .. only the option to raise the device to wake up the screen works

Did you read the op? It is for lineage os based ROMs and has not been tested on anything stock or stock based. I've tested it on Los 17.1 latest nightly, latest Omni Rom, latest carbon Rom and bliss Rom.

Been testing on Cr droid its looking good..
Glad to hear the drain issue was taken care of. I reworked a few things to hopefully account for it even though I never saw the issue on my device so it puzzled me a little bit!
