Hi all here we are going discuss about the root,recoveries and custom roms development
Rooting Canvas 6 pro:-
We can root Canvas 6 pro by two methods as follows
1. Kingroot 4.9 apk
2. Installing Su through Custom recovery( recoveries attached)
Custom ROMS for Canvas 6 Pro:-
I have ported three to four roms like AMIGO,FLYME,XUI But they have some major bugs camera,flashlight so it will take some time to release

Thanks for the information, kindly tell us how to root Canvas 6 pro, when I want to root it shows Chinese language.
Click on build number in about phone - multiple times, you'll get developer options in settings.
2. Download and install kingroot apk.
3. Press click to root once you open the apk.

I have ported three roms(Flyme,Amigo and XUI) for canvas 6 pro but some major bugs are there like camera ,flashlight so it will take time

please please port cm 12 or 13 for this phone..
Tried every tutorial but unable to port... Everytime stuck on some steps..
Bro I think porting works only if the kernel is the same... I'm sure ud be successful if you use roms which use Stock or Stock modified kernels.... Then again I'm just a noob and I haven't the faintest idea about coding ...

yup i know this... so tried cm 12 for xiomi redmi note 3 (mtk6795) version.. But failed. That thing wont work.....
By the way these phones are identical in every specs. If you wish to port, try the ones made for xiomi, work would be a lot lesser... ☺
@ANANDH16 can you please upload the META-INF of stock ROM ....need updater-script ...
and also can you post the way to unlock boot loader....after fastboot OEM unlock phone goes into bootloop and even the recovery is corrupted
Just a quick note, use supersume to get rid of all the chinese crap installed. It will slow down your phone and is almost certainly violating your privacy.
Was tired of waiting for a rom to get ported to this device.. So got on my toes and finally succeeded today after countless bootloops and restores.. and got my ultimate Dark Canvas 6 pro.. Full dark material everywhere.....Settings Dialer Framework Contacts SystemUI Dialog Just everything White is Dark....

it happened with my phone too...but somehow it got back normally after trying diferent ways

Greetings and welcome to xda. There is no such thing as a best rom it depends on the user and what they prefer, the best thing to do is just make a back up and try out for yourself

Here on XDA this kind of requests doesn`t make much sense , you can`t just request to make a rom for your device , this doesn`t work like that .
Someone must own the device , the device sources must be available , someone must have time and so on
