[ROM][STABLE][N][7.1.1][5.26.20][SM-T377T/W] Stock Debloated Deknoxed Degoogled V1.0 - Android General

Hey everyone, quick post here, may edit later. I made a stock debloated, deknoxed, degoogled (minus play store/play services which can be disabled) ROM for the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 tablet, there's also a few build.prop tweaks for better performance but it's mostly all stock. ALL the bloatware has been removed. This ROM is still odexed for better speed and it does NOT come with root, though I would recommend rooting it with Magisk if you plan to use root apps. Let me know if there's any bugs, I apologize in advance as this is my first public ROM release. You need TWRP installed to flash this. (P.S. sorry for no proper links but the forum doesn't let me use URLs in message due to not enough posts, there's no viruses or spam here, feel free to check yourself mods.
DISCLAIMER: YOU WILL LOSE ALL DATA ON YOUR TABLET AFTER INSTALLING THIS ROM! MAKE BACKUPS OF YOUR FILES BEFORE INSTALLING!
Things you need to install
https://odindownload.com/download/Odin3_v3.14.1.zip ODIN
https://dl.twrp.me/gteslte TWRP
http://ehxz.tk/taberom The ROM
https://androiddatahost.com/wq2ap ADB
A USB cable & Windows PC
Steps to install
1. Download and extract all files and open ODIN
2. With your tablet off, boot to download mode by holding HOME+VOLUME DOWN+POWER then pressing VOLUME UP until it says downloading
3. Click AP button in ODIN and pick the TWRP recovery .tar file then click start
4. After flashing, immediately hold VOLUME UP+HOME+POWER so the tablet will boot straight into recovery
5. Go to WIPE then pick advanced wipe and wipe ALL partitions except for USB/External storage
6. Go to Advanced > ADB sideload and swipe to enable it
7. On your PC with ADB installed, open a command prompt in the location where your ROM file is downloaded and run command
Code:
adb sideload EHXZ-Tab-8-Stock-Debloated-Degoogled-Deknoxed-v1.zip
8. When you see AROMA menu on the tablet, follow the steps on your tablet to install the ROM.
9.. (Optional) Uncheck the reboot box in the installation success screen and go back to to ADB sideload option, then flash Magisk/SuperSU or anything else you'd like on your tablet.
10. Tap reboot in TWRP, it will give a message about no OS installed, ignore this and reboot anyway. First boot will take a while, be patient and just leave the tablet alone, preferably plugged into power.

I know this is a zombie thread but this is the latest T377T ROM I could find. Just installed it today and seems to work great, so thanks for sharing. Haven't yet tested my TMobile features (don't have an active SIM at the moment).

I would love to try this rom, but the link to the ROM (electrohaxz.tk/taberom The ROM) doesn't work anymore. Would you be able to share the ROM with me if you still have the file?

Can you explain how this is done? When I run the files does it copy what is on the phone to the computer so that I can just re-image it back onto the phone?
I maybe asking questions, but I really don't know what I am doing and want to be safe. I already have the one click flasher by noobnl, I trust him. I just want to be sure and understand what I am doing.
Thanks for all the info.

Did you try Whatsapp in other devices ?
You can get 'application not compitable' error for three ressons :
1. Some apps are marked as only being compatible with certain phones or tablets. However, they may run just fine on unsupported devices.
2. Some apps are only allowed to be installed in certain countries.
3. All apps have a minimum version of Android they require.
I think your problem is either No. 1 or No. 2 .
For Problem No. 1, you can download & install Merket Helper app. This app needs root permission. This can chenge the device model Name. Replace the name with a supported device. Know more about Merket Helper App here .
For problem No. 2, Download the .APK file of Whatsapp from here and install it.

Install recovery and find your phone gapp and flash using recovery
Hello guys, just wanted to let you know that after many hours of hard work I finally managed to get Google Play Services and root working. If anyone ever needs help with this particular model or any x86 based Android tablet/phone with unknown brand you can send me private message or answer in this thread. The problem with this type of devices is that no one makes custom recovery for them that's why I had to load a temporary one. Here is a link. By following the guide there you will get in recovery pretty much 99% of time. From there it's easy just flash SuperSU package and GApps. The best and only working x86 (Intel Processors) GApps with this version of CWM recovery are Franken GApps. You flash them and you are done. You now have working, licensed and usable tablet/phone! Screenshots below! :highfive:

Hey, I am sorry for the late response. I was away from XDA for a while.
1. To root I can't remember exactly, but there are a few ways I think. First, you can use Framaroot to root it or (recommended) you can directly push SuperSU package from the link I have given.
2. You download this GAPPS package. The download link is in the bottom of the post. You can also download a SuperSU package (ZIP) from here.
3. I see you have followed the instructions to some point. Here let me explain: First you connect your tablet with USB cable to the computer. Second you unzip the downloaded file and run the batch file. You then type "ACCEPT". Then you type "5" to run CWM recovery. Then you type "T4" to chose the forth option to load the recovery. This is basically a program that loads a recovery to your tablet without installing it. Your tablet should now reboot into CWM recovery. Be careful to not disconnect the tablet while you are performing operations since there is almost no way to recover from brick!
4. I guess you are at least a little familiar on how to work with recovery. In case you don't know: First - you very carefully navigate with the volume buttons up and down. You then go to install zip>from sd card>UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550.zip. You then wait a second for the file to be flashed. You now have root. Second - you again navigate with volume buttons and go to install zip>from sd card>FrankenGApps-x86-20140826.zip. You again wait for a second. Now you will have successfully flashed GAPPS. You then very carefully navigate to reboot command and press the power button.
5. Tips:
- be very careful to not disconnect the tablet while flashing;
- backup any important information;
- ask me before you do anything which I have not described so you can be safe from bricking;
*In case the recovery says something like "Not enough space to install zip" or something similar, please, write in this thread so I can help you.
Good luck!

Hello there,
Sorry for the off topic.
I also have the same tablet and I managed to do all the things listed above.
I was trying to update the Android on this thing by flashing a ROM of a very similar tablet (hardware-wise) and I semi bricked it but I managed to recover through the ECU shell(!). I have every partition in img using dd.
The thing is. Do you have any resources about a new ROM? I found the anzhen4_mrd7 source files on GitHub and I'm trying to build a CM build. Downloaded the source code etc.
If you want to collaborate send me a PM

Hello,
unfortunately I am not that good with Android. I don't know how to build ROMs etc., but I may learn one day. Sorry, but I can't help you.

[TUT][ROOT+CWM+GAPPS]InFocus M512 Root, CWM and GApps tutorial.

So there is a bargain chinese 4G phone called the 'InFocus M512'.
The problem with it is that it comes without Google Apps and also is not rooted (sometimes is). Also it does not have CWM Recovery.
So this quick tutorial shows you how to root, install CWM Recovery and install google apps on the M512.
I'm not responsible for any damage
Rooting:
Method 1
1.Go to settings>>Security>>Check Unknown Sources tap OK.
2.Download this file.
3.Install
4.Run and tap 'get root' or somthing like that.
5.Delete KingRoot and some chinese app, but DO NOT DELETE KingUser!
6.Done!
Method 2
Flash CWM Recovery using the 2nd method from this post. If you have rooted usign the first method use method 1 from that post.
Download UPDATE-SuperSU-x.xx.zip (i used 2.46)
Reboot into CWM.
Select Install zip>choose zip from /sdcard>select UPDATE-SuperSU-x.xx.zip, press power button
Reboot now
GApps
1.Download this zip file
2.Reboot into CWM.
3.Select Install zip>choose zip from /sdcard>select the file, press power button
4.Reboot now.
How to delete KingUser (only if you have SuperSU and it is working)
Download ES File explorer, enable root explorer, go to /system/app and delete KingUser.
So this is how to get root, cwm and gapps on the m512.
First Method no good for me
I put the kingroot file in the adb tools folder and used the install command. It wasn't clear from the above whether the phone needed to be in recovery or some other mode so I tried a few times, in recovery mode and again just connected as an mtp device in the normal way. Either way the result was the same, it said "Invalid APK File: KingRoot.......".
I will have a go at the CWM thing next.
I am still on the 103A ROM that the phone came to me with - I have been trying, on and off, without success to update and then root it , for months.
When trying to flash an update ROM it tells me that the update package has unexpected contents and the there is an error in the update file and then says "Status 7". You can read all about my lack of success on this forum under the threads M512 started by Galaxy Why.
I'm trying, I really am....
Let me start by saying thanks for making the effort to post what you know and so to help people like me, however.
I tried to follow the method 2 (as I don't have root) from your other post (the one linked to above with the words "the 2nd method from this post" but got stuck.
Your instructions in normal my comments in italics.
Method 2: (No root)
1.Connect your phone via USB to your PC. OK
2.Enable MTP. OK
3.Enable USB Debugging. Settings>Developer Options> tick USB Debugging. OK
4.On your computer, 2 drives will appear: One of them is a CD-Rom which contains all drivers. OK
5.Click on that CD-Rom and it will install all drivers. It doesn't, or it may do, but what it definately does is asks me to put a disc in the drive and tries to do some kind of dir_all in windows explorer - I would post a screenshot here but this page only allows URL's- and I'm not sure how to go about that.. but I think I've managed to upload a screenshot....
After waiting for 5 minutes or so to see if something would happen as the green progress bar ground to a halt but the busy circle continued I hit the cancel button on the "please insert a disc dialogue" and then ploughed on anyway ....
6.Plug phone in again. Now this had me confused, I assume you mean unplug AND THEN plug the phone in again.
7.Download the .ZIP file and extract it somewhere. Which/what zip file do you mean exactly?? I couldn't get past this.
8.Click on _install_cwm_6.0.5.1.cmd
9.Your phone will ask you something, just tick "always allow from this computer" and hit OK.
10.Your phone will reboot into DL Mode, then it will reboot again.
11.Recovery is installed.
It's late and I'm tiring so sorry if missed something obvious. Any advice?

Looks like you don't have a adb driver
And... why do you want to root your phone? Installing CWM is not root required.
M512 comes with a unlocked bootloader, just boot into bootloader and you can flash anything you like.
I made a customized stock rom based on version 2280, bloatwares removed and Google Play framework included. (You can download the apps back from Play Store, if you needs those)
Now the phone has 2.09GB free spaces :victory:
If you were interested on it, I can upload it and give you a link.

Looks like you don't have a adb driver
And... why do you want to root your phone? Installing CWM is not root required.
M512 comes with a unlocked bootloader, just boot into bootloader and you can flash anything you like.

I am interested in the custom rom you made for this phone. There's so little info on this model.

[Guide] [Updated] Use secure folder in Batman Rom v1.11 +

This guide is similar to what is described in this thread, so credit for him on the guide.
If you've tried countless numbers of times to make secure folder work, but keep on getting "Failed to create Knox mode", this guide is for you.
This guide MAY work for others who wish to use different ROM, similar processs, different rom. That is all, please feel free to try and let me know
What I've found out (Regardless if it is true or not):
There are people saying security patch dated June 2017 from Samsung patched the Secure folder stuff
If your secure folder never worked before (after rooting your phone and flash new ROM), or at some point, secure folder stopped working, you need to start from official FW all over again. Which is what this guide is for.
Notes:
Not responsible for any damage or bricked devices.
If the phone is bricked, you can always start from flashing official FW via Odin.
Requirements:
Make a backup of everything you need. In case things go wrong and bricked your phone.
Any Nougat official firmware released BEFORE June 2017
TWRP, Odin and Samsung Phone drivers from here
SuperSU by Chainfire from here
The very first version of Secure Folder (1.0.01-020) from here
Batman ROM, other related fix and join the Telegram group of Batman listed inside here
Upon joining the telegram group, use the search function to search for Secure Folder fix. The file is less than 700kb.
A micro SD card.
Steps listed below are what I did and worked for me, and I hope they work for you too.
Put any flashable zips file to your SD card. Phone's internal storage will be wiped several times in the processes below.
Boot phone into download mode and flash official FW via Odin, put the files in the respective slot. AP to AP, BL to BL, CP to CP, CSC to CSC. I disregard the HOME_CSC file.
Reboot and setup. (Doesn't matter account setup etc, just skip everything and get to home screen)
Go to Settings > Enable developer options > Enable OEM unlocking inside developer options.
Power off phone, boot into download mode, flash twrp .tar file via Odin. (AP slot, untick Auto-Reboot)
After Odin shows pass/success. Unplug USB, hold [Volume Down] + [Home] + [Power] to exit download mode, when the screen goes blank, with those 3 buttons held down, immediately switch from holding Vol down to Vol up, to boot into Recovery mode, which in this case will boot into TWRP.
Any time you see a warning in TWRP about swipe to allow modification, swipe it.
Go to wipe > format data. Type yes to wipe data
Flash superSU, flash Super Stock kernel and reboot your phone.
(Not sure this step here is needed, but I did it anyway) Download My Knox, just open and exit after it is installed on your phone.
Install the Secure Folder apk downloaded. Clear Secure Folder's app data. And run it.
At this point, Secure Folder should work without any problem. If Secure Folder failed to install/set up. Please do let me know in the comments.
Boot into TWRP, flash Batman ROM.
In Aroma: Clean flash (wipe everything except SD card), tick Knox, latest modem and bootloader from ROM, and also both modded settings / UI.
Upon exiting Aroma, the phone will auto reboot itself because you ticked "update to latest bootloader" in Aroma, but not to worry. Just let it boot.
It'll take awhile to boot. After booting up, set up the phone nicely. Check for Secure Folder enabled in the setup process. It is enabled by default.
Clear Secure Folder's app data/cache.
Reboot to TWRP.
Flash the Secure Folder fix twice (I flashed it twice, don't ask me why), and other fix/mods (sticker fix etc) you want.
Reboot to system
Tap on Secure Folder, it should work now.
Do let me know in the comments how it worked out for you guys and report any missing links that I may not have listed here.
Secure folder fix will not be listed, you can find it in the telegram group.
I've not tested with any other kernel other than the Batstock that comes with Batman ROM.

After you root and flash with superstock kernel.
Download the app, phone info, it'll show knox 0x0 instead of 0x1, with this, it tricked secure folder thinking you're not rooted / tripped knox
Nice guide. Maybe this is the secure folder fix file?

still works? You tried it in stock or custom kernel?
Does it work with SuperMan rom?
Still working? May work it on s7 edge with Batman rom?

Wondering if it still works with Batman ROM 1.5 as well, and whether we can update Secure Folder after that.
I found a fix not going to share it here because samsung will patch it anyway. Never will buy Samsung again. Glad my s7 edge broke.
