Is there a way to get rid of the space under the keyboard?

I use Microsoft SwiftKey and leaves no space under.

I'll give it a try. But i prefer gboard.
How do u get the space? I prefer a space underneath as it is easy to type and swipe. I am using gboard

I am using gboard as well. I am not sure how i got thw space. Do you have it as well?

I was asking the OP dear
With miui 12 u get the bar. Like Samsung phones.wirh miui 11 there is no space bar

Miui12 doesn't seem to have this option.
For me off or on also does not make any changes to the keyboard height. Think this is a bug

Only in settings, the home screen layout settings crashes.
I'm on stock 4.1.6 not rooted.

No, I use black_navigation_bar.apk. Once installed go to>settings>display>navigation bar>apply current theme>select black>slide tab to right and your set.
If you don't like it just go to settings>apps> uninstall it.

Exactly. No issues after installing this. In fact, I prefer this because now I always have the black Navbar, even when Swiftkey is open.
