hello guys, i have a problem with xiaomi note me 10. in practice, as soon as i install rom with android 10 base, automatic brightness and image stabilization in videos stop working (app freezes). i tried all the existing roms global, stable, .eu on both miui 11 and 12, made any type of reset, used miui app from pc, locked and re-unlocked bootloader ... i tried them all.
with miui android 9 everything works while if i switch to android 10 they stop working. even OTA updates have done the same thing.
have you ever had similar experiences?
If Android 10 is where the main issues are occuring for you, where a workaround that I found works.
1. Enable/Open Developer Options
2. Find, and tap "Quick settings developer tiles"
3. Enable the "Sensors Off" switch.
4. Open your phone quick setting (swipe down from the top) and tap "Sensors Off". Then wait a few minutes.
5. Tap "Sensors Off" again, to make the button turn grey, to disable it.
Then check to see if the sensors are all working.

I've looked everywhere for an answer to this, but so far to no avail. Is there a way to manually disable this Knock On feature included in the stock software? I'm running CyanogenMod 11 nightlies and it causes my phone to crash 50% of the time and gets annoying after a while. I looked through all the system files on the phone and can't even find a pointer. Be as complicated as you want with your answer. Thanks.
P.S. This is not a new problem with CM11. Did this with 10.2 as well.
On the stock software its easy !! Go to configurations > general > gesture > on/off screen (its the first option) !!
Hope i could help:good:

Thank you!
Is there a way to disable knock on during calls only? My face keeps unlocking my phone and apps are opened or settings changed. It's annoying.
Found a FIX disable Tap 2 Wake/ Knock code
Hi all, I have a LG F220K (LG Optimus GK). :silly:
And I'm running a modified version of LG G2 CM11 (currently on M6) on my mobile.
After flashing CM11 ROM I figured that the option to deactivate the Tap to wake/ Knock code feature is not available in the Settings menu itself.
The Tap wake function is something I hate as it turns on display and press buttons during calls, so somehow I was lost with all the forums having only questions yet no answers...
This is How I sorted it!!! (Sorry, I am not allowed to post images or links as a newbie)
1. Please install Kernel Tweaker from the play market (It's free).
2. Open the Kernel Tweaker, access the main menu of the app by tapping the top left hand corner.
3. Browse through to Kernel (Under Kernel Params) tap open.
4. You will see that it has two options Under Kernel Tweaks "Double Tap 2 wake" and "Sweep 2 Wake", there will be two ticked boxes.
5. Untick both boxes and exit!!!
Now you can tap on screen like no tomorrow but Tap to Wake/ Knock code is no more... :highfive:
A THANK wouldn't hurt!!!

I 'm looking for that answer too..
Me as well! I hate Knock-On as it always turns on the screen in my pocket.
I tried Kernel Tweaker but there arent any options under Kernel Tweaks for me to choose from. Im running C-Rom 7.1 which is CM based I believe.
Is there an .apk or sys file I can disable? What kind of file and what is the name of the file/code that is responsible for Knock-On?

Guys, READ THIS 100% BEFORE MESSING WITH YOUR DEVICE. YOU MUST BE ROOTED TO DO THIS, AND YOU MUST HAVE ELEMENTALX KERNEL INSTALLED. If you do not know what you are doing, what root is, what a kernel is, or how to begin, it's likely best you stop now...with that said... I figured out a way to enable double tap to wake on the pixel that actually works as I have already done it. Visit the following link: (ignore the fact that the thread is about the Note 3. This is an android apk file that works on 7.1, and on the Pixel just fine.) I am using it on my 5" Pixel as I type this even, however, Although I do not think it would have any trouble on the 5.5" Pixel XL, do not hold me to it working on that device, as I have not tested it. USE THIS INFO AT YOUR OWN RISK. I did not create, contribute to, or assist in any part of creating this app, and take no credit for it. The app downloads with a file name of "app-release.apk" (odd I know) but it is in fact the "Kernel Adiutor MOD" app. Once the kernel is installed, and you have RE-RUN THE ROOT METHOD, (which is the boot-to-root.img you should have already done when you rooted your Pixel), then download the app, install it, got to the menu icon at the top left, go to "Misc Controls" toggle the "Apply on Boot" to "On", and the "Toggle SE Linux" to "Off" which changes the status to "Permissive", then reboot, and return to the app where you need to go to the menu, tap "Wake Controls", and toggle the "Apply on Boot" to "On", and "DoubleTap2Wake" to "Halfscreen". It works anywhere on the screen. I tested it multiple times (the double tap that is), but for some reason "Fullscreen" setting will not stick. After doing this, reboot again, and BOOM ! You have double tap to wake !
PLEASE NOTE, AFTER A REBOOT, THE SET ON BOOT NEEDS YOU TO UNLOCK YOUR PHONE AT LEAST ONCE, AND TAKES SOMETHING LIKE 2 MINUTES OR A LITTLE LESS TO APPLY THE SETTING, AND FOR DOUBLE TAP TO BEGIN WORKING, BUT WILL REMAIN WORKING SEAMLESSLY FOR THE DURATION OF THE DEVICE BEING POWERED ON (FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN SO FAR) JUST AN FYI. BEST I CAN GIVE YA GUYS, I SIMPLY FIGURED OUT PART OF THE CONFIGURATION TO MAKE IT WORK. IN THE SETTINGS YOU CAN TURN OFF THE NOTIFICATION IT CREATES AFTER APPLYING THE SETTING IF YOU WANT.

As per the title, I've enabled the Developer Options menu by tapping the build number 7 times, the entry appears in the Settings menu but when I try to open it I get a message : "You must first Enable Developer Options". Is there another setting hidden somewhere else ? I can't find anything by using the built-in search engine.

Hello, No there isn't.
Reboot the phone, tap build number again 7/8 times and see if it works again. If your on branded firmware it's sometimes disabled.

I already tried this several times before posting here, and I'm running the stock Samsung ROM. Weird thing is it used to work some time ago.
Hi guys just making this thread to keep everyone as up to date as possible on the ColorOS 13 and what to expect. I'm currently downloading the beta firmware that's been released to the Ambassador's possibly to more users outside the ambassador program so here's the current file size and change log. Any questions fire away.
After 24 hours or so later from installing the beta I have noticed a few slight issues nothing show stopping so far so here's slight run down of things I have found so far:
1. Google Wallet:
Due to this being Beta firmware you are given this error,
I have yet to test to see if contactless payment might actually still work despite the warning message but I do plan to test it anyway.
2. Brightness issue:
After installing the new Beta I noticed that when the device was booting up the screen was lovely and bright. However as soon as it gets passed the boot animation all of a sudden the screen got really dark to the point that even screenshots became dark as well note the warning image above. After some digging about in the settings menu I came across an option within the dark mode settings called "Reduce contrast in low-light conditions". After i disabled that option the screen brightness and screenshots returned to normal again.
3. The Power Menu:
With this new update the power menu has changed quite a lot when you press the power button or the power + volume up depending on your setup you will no longer see the the Emergency, Restart or Power off buttons at the top. What you will see now is a sliding option in the middle of your screen to Restart or Power off. However not sure if it related to my first point but i no longer have options for quick access to my contactless payment options. Hopefully once the official version gets released having quick access to my payment options will return

Can you check these things for me?
1. Does ColorOS 13 allow hiding lock screen pattern? It's not there in ColorOS 12 despite being a feature in stock Android since forever.
2. Go to App info of Google Drive, then Open by Default. Does it have the option to turn off 'Open supported links'? It's there in stock Android 12 but not ColorOS 12. An example is provided below.
3. When you use App drawer mode (App drawer seperate with Home screen) and long press a user-installed app icon, does it allow uninstalling, or just removing the shortcut? I can do this in OneUI and OxygenOS 10 but not in ColorOS 12.
4. In App Drawer, when pressing the three dot icon above an app, does it allow going to 'App Info' of that app? Again, I can do this in OneUI but not ColorOS 12.
(the top option is App info)
These little things have been bugging me since updating to 12, so really appreciate if you can confirm if they have fixed them in ColorOS 13
I update to for android 13 and the phone is hot in idel and the battery drain fast
I have a question about the new version. Did they change how notifications behave on the lockscreen? At the moment notifications dissapear from the lockscreen in these scenarios:
- after you unlock and lock your phone, notifications disappear
- after a while (say 5 to 30 minutes) notifications dissapear from the lockscreen after having unlocked the phone.
All oppo, realme and (since oxygen 12) oneplus phones have this behavior.
I want to know if all notifications stay on the lockscreen no matter how many times you unlock your phone or how many hours they have been sitting there.
Any update to our questions?

I have just tested this and had a Facebook Message notification, I unlocked my phone - ignored the notification, and locked my phone - it is still there!
I will wait up to an hour to see if it goes away!

Does this mean it automatically chooses the strongest? Or does it mean it automatically goes to 5G settings?
Second beta works perfect
Few days ago i sign up for the beta tester, yesterday evening i got notification for update to 13 beta.
Excited at first but after reading known issues (2nd beta) one of them is "laggy in some situation" i decided to stay at 12 and waiting for the stable version of 13.
Then i wake up this morning, open my phone then realize it has been automaticly updated overnight -_-
I use my phone looking for new features and functions for about an hour, didnt find any bugs except for the universal search in app drawer is not working. Turn that off and now the search function is working properly. Google wallet is not popular around here so i dont use them. So far i like the looks of the new ui.
Gonna update here if i found other bugs, the phone feels a little bit slower tho (barely noticable, 0.xx second slower), hopefully due to the phone still processing updates and optimization of the new os.
Hello everyone,
Does anyone also have issue with Quick Tap? From yesterday I am suddenly unable to use it to toggle torch light. It simply doesn't do anything. But when I go to the settings and try the double tap, it registers the double tap just fine. Also using different option works fine, just Torch does not.
The phone is really buggy and I'm starting to get disappointed. I though that if there is any Android device that should work fine that it is device directly from Google, but probably not.
It's a software glitch report it to Google via feedback. To fix it turn the feature off reboot and toggle it back and it'll work again. Every single time you reboot you'll have to make sure it's toggled off. Otherwise when you reboot and the feature is on it won't work again until you toggle it off reboot and then back on.
