5G option... - OPPO Find X2 Pro Questions & Answers

Just received my X2 Pro but to my surprise the 5G option in the settings menu wasn't there. When I had the Chinese version it was available out the box, but now I have the Global and it's not there. It only has, 2G, 2G or 3G, or the 2G, 3G or 4G option. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. Thanks guys.

Where are you? I've got the international version and it has the option to select 5G automatically when its avaliable.
Sent from my OPPO CPH2025 using XDA Labs

I'm in the UAE and I don't have that option at all on my phone. When I had the Chinese version this option was available but I'm not showing it at all now. I ordered mine from Thailand, so they might not have updated the software yet. It's puzzling to me.

Your phone is a dual sim version,so that's not the international version (as far as I know) how many language available? For a Chinese phone flashed with international version software only around 16 languages available.
Sent from my OPPO CPH2025 using XDA Labs

But it's not the Chinese version, that model number is PDEM and not CPH....I'll try to get in touch with Oppo and find out what the issue is.

Sent from my OPPO CPH2025 using XDA Labs

Nah, plus the Chinese version only had 256GB of storage, I have 512GB but I had the Chinese version and sent it back. It had the 5G option.

I'm living in Thailand and using the Find X2 Pro
It's normal
China uses N41 as their main 5G Freq and so as Thailand.
That's why Chinese version has 5G option when you use TRUE, but I'm not sure about AIS.
but other countries are not. So, the N41 freq configuration in the global firmware is not available. Also, if you use AIS and you're sure that your phone supports N41 in both software and hardware, you have to have 5G configuration on your sim card first. That means you have to insert your sim card to the phone that is 5G enabled in order to enable 5G profile in your sim. However, you will still not be able to use 5G on CPH2025 because its firmware is not N41 enabled

Thanks, I'll continue to look into it. Great, information didn't realize all this.

Flash MHA-AL29 on MHA-AL00..is it possible?

Hello Everyone,
I have just bought a Huawei mate 9 from AliExpress, and they didnt specify if it was Chinese or International Rom.
But upon delivery i saw some Chinese text, and when i checked the Build number, it is MHA-AL00C00B175.
Can i flash the International version (i.e the AL29) firmware on my phone so that i can eliminate all these chinese apps etc ?
Thanks in advance

I think you were misinformed, you can't just flash any models firmware over your chinese model (thats why it fails), you can only "rebrand" using the guides linked below, which requires unlock bootloader.
Flash Latest Update/Rebrand Guide: (Has lots of choices for rebranding, can go to different regional specific firmware such as USA, Europe, Asia, etc)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108
Unbrick and Rebrand Guide: (Only 2 choices, MHA-L29C636 International/Asian (comes with Play Store and no Chinese apps) or MHA-AL00 Chinese)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-rebrand-chinese-al00-mate9-to-t3554656
I'd stick with the Chinese one. It has a few more features and gets updated more often. The few Chinese programs are mostly removable as well.
You can rebrand with also OTA . I am done follow this link it perfect.
[rebrand from c636 to AL00 and rebrand from AL00 to C432.]

You should buy the global rom version if it is available. With the Chinese rom version many apps still have chinese language even with the choice of English as the language.

You have bought the China version.
As it has been said there are many China apps above.
But that's no problem, the most of Chines Apps can uninstall.
There is no Globalrom.
But there could be something about a Global variant coming.
I found in the Product Folder product/hw_oem 2 Folder from 2 Versions.
RVL-AL09 and RVL-L09.
and i this RVL-L09 Folder found a File names emui_cfg_policy.txt.
Inside is a text:/sytem/emui/base/system/emui/global:/system/emui/global_honor
very strange
Cheers for the info, I was a bit sceptical which version, possibly an online marketing trick to sell to foreign buyers, bought 8gb 128gb blue, just sit patiently until it's delivered
It'll be a world away from using my keyone

A6000 vs A6003 in Canada

Hi , I just bought an a6000 OnePlus 6 here in Canada. I realize it's the Chinese version of the phone. Will I still get all the normal LTE bands using Rogers/Fido? I see that the a6003 has 3 extra bands. Will I need those if I'm on Rogers/Fido?
Thanks

You need to check the band list supported by your operator and then cross verify with the devices band list.
Okay thanks

Question If your U1 device can't use 5G. You can try it.

I have unlock ATT S22U. I flashed it to the public version not use 5G. So i want go back.
I want to use 5G again. Rewrote CSC to GCF and flashed TMB firmware.
Fully functional 5G but can't get OTA.
no OTA yet, wait for October

CSC can be changed without root and paying. You'll be surprised that a simple app can do this. And the app comes from a reputable Samsung firmware site.

no its not a secret.....go to samfw.com and use their FRP tool,,,,inside the app...theres a tab called Test...go to option change CSC (blank)....key in what you want.....now granted....s908u is limited to US based carriers.....ATT VZW TMB etc.....but it has XAA and GCF.....if you wanna change to anything...i would try XAA or GCF.....and when u do so....u get rid of carrier bloat etc. What carrier do you have and what device? Reason im asking is because some people tend to lose acesss to bands when they change CSC but i know the dialer secret menu code to get you to where you need to enable all bands. Just an FYI
