Install netflix.apk on fire hd 8 - Fire HD 8 and HD 10 General

Hi there,
I own an Amazon Fire Hd8 (7gen, OS 5.3.7.0).
I dont have an amazon account and dont want one (for privacy reasons). I downloaded an netflix.apk online and installed it on my device. The problem is that, once insta lled, Amazon doesn't allow me to open it. I receive this message: <<The app is missing required component and must be re-installed from the Amazon Appstore>>.
Is there any way to bypass this wall and install the app without passing by the amazon app store or google play store?
Thank you in advance for all for your adivces and help!

You can install Netflix via Fire toolbox. You may have a Windows 10 PC to use Fire toolbox.

For those who want to know how i proceed:
I am on Mac (HighSierra). In order to use FireToolBox i downloaded VMWare Fusion to emulate Windows 10. Tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyOjfQoqy8A
Afterwards, i followed the instructions of the FireToolBox here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hd8-hd10/development/official-amazon-fire-toolbox-v1-0-t3889604
For a reason that i don't know, the latest version of the FireToolBox (7.0) didn't wanted to install on my Windows 10 emulation. I downloaded the version 6.56 and it worked just fine!
If you need help/tips with FireToolBox, look at this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YPLcZMSSQU

[Q] Rooting Kindle Fire 6.3 >> KFU 0.9.4 or BurritoRoot4??

I've got the same problem as lots of KF rooted user >> the 6.3 update broke my root. My KF 6.2.2 was rooted using BurritoRoot3.
I've been searching the web and found a manual solution using fastboot mode (See "HOW TO Root Amazon Kindle Fire 6.3" http://www.blogotechblog.com/2012/03/how-to-root-amazon-kindle-fire-6-3/). It looks do-able but definitely more involved than some of the pre-scripted rooting tools.
Anyone know if/when some of those tools [i.e., KFU 0.9.4 or BurritoRoot(4?)] will be available?
Does anyone have contact info for the KFU developer --> I'd email them directly and ask.
Alternatively, I found this post on XDA >> "Rooted Kindle Fire 6.3 fixed using Kindle Fire Utility" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1571622
I don't have KFU installed on my Fire, though. Can it be installed on my Fire since I now have 6.3? If yes, where can I get the steps to do that?
Thanks!
~K
in the same boat. no idea on br4, but i've read quite a few places that KFU 0.9.4. works well. not sure of what steps to take EG 1) temp root 2) perm root 3) flash FFF ..ETC also, do u know if there are .sbf/ruu files to return this thing to stock if something fails? i'll pm if i find more info plz do the same..
Has anyone replied to you yet or have you figured this out? I've got my Fire rooted again & it's running 6.3. I can help you get yours working too.

What's possible on a rooted Fire
And, I've got other stuff working on my Fire that other users were struggling with; such as:
• Swype keyboard
• HBO Go
• Screenshots (w/ app that requires root)
• Wireless printing
• Synched my Google acct to run Gmail & Listen w/o changing the stock launcher
• Have my Verizon Droid Razr broadcasting infrastructure hotspot *w/o* paying Verizon extra $30/mo
• Set up external wireless drive & converted DVDs to watch w/o wireless connection
None of this has taken up much memory - I'm only using about half my app memory space. You probably have much of this working too, but if not, ping me for info. I'm always happy to share.

Tried FBmode to reroot no luck
Hi,
I tried following instructions using fbmode. Got hung up on TWRP boot would not
go to yellow triangle for reboot. Tried running Fire Utility does not work - errors.
How did you reroot yours?
What error did you get when using KFU and what version of KFU are you using? I used KFU 0.9.5 and I realized that on the K Fire, KFU does not install the SuperUser.apk. Try running the most recent version of the KFU, then install the SuperUser.apk manually by sideloading it. That worked for me.
If you are going to run the Fastboot commands youself in a Windows command window, make sure of 2 things >> 1) you are running the commands from the directory where you have ABD installed and 2) that your laptop has recognized your K Fire (when you plugged it into your Laptop, your laptop loaded the K Fire drivers and you can see it as a drive in your Windows explorer). I got stuck in a boot loop with TWRP myself after I'd rooted and it took me a while to get out of it -- after I made sure of those two things above, the commands worked perfectly.
KFU
I was using the older 9.4 version - will give the new version a try.
Thanks,
Leapin
KFU 9.5 Works!
Thanks morgan - 9.5 worked !
KF rooting troubles
Using KFU 9.5.0 I've got my computer recognizing my KF as an android phone but KFU will not see that my KF is connected to my computer. I am eternally stuck in <waiting for device> mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
What version of firmware is your Fire running - 6.2.2, 6.3, or 6.3.1? I know that KFU 0.9.5 supports firmware 6.3 and 6.3.1. Not sure if 0.9.5 supports the older 6.2.2. If you're running 6.2.2, you might need to run KFU 0.9.4.
I've gotten stuck at the 'waiting for device' prompt too. In my case, my Fire wasn't showing up as a device in my laptop's device manager. You're certain that your Fire is accessible? Does the Fire screen show the message that it's got a USB connection?
When I've had a problem with KFU, I contacted the developer Vashypooh. Got a really quick response too.
[email protected]
Vashy also monitors this IRC channel and, if online, will answer questions/provide help immediately:
http://chat.andirc.net/?channels=kindlefire
One other question -- are you running KFU from a Windows PC or a Mac? If you're on a Mac, I probably won't be much help -- I'm really more a Windows/Linux kind of gal.

Android Maxell Maxtab C8 MID Tablet Google Play Fix

So here's how I did it:
Basically, with an Cortex A8 processor, the Maxell C8 tablet seems to be a slightly upgraded Allwinner A10, which is a bit cheaper than the Maxell tablet but then again Maxell really did package theirs nicely in terms of casing. But it's no secret - when you plug in the Maxell C8 with Windows 7 it shows clearly that it's a MID tablet. So essentially, my theory is that this method should work on all similar tablets such as Allwinner A13,A10 etc (although many of those come with preinstalled google play, as China, like me, doesn't give a **** about copyright). For reference, my tablet is running Android 4.0.4
Step 1. Root your tablet.
This took me a few times to figure out but this program called "Android Root Unlock" finally did it for me. You can get it from Source Forge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/androidroot/
Enable USB debugging (settings > developer options > Usb debugging). Then just connect your tablet to your PC via USB, wait until Windows recognizes the device. It should read "MID" in the device manager screen. The unpack the zip file you downloaded above on your Windows machine and run "ICS_Root_Unlocker.bat" it while the tablet is still plugged into USB. A black terminal window will open, just follow the instructions from there. Your tablet will restart - that means it probably worked, don't close the program yet but follow what it says to the end until the terminal window closes. Now you can unplug your device.
Step 2. Install modded Google Play
Now you can go ahead and follow the instructions on xda-developers.com:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1650116
That's it! Google play now works like a charm and I can download stuff directly from Google Play without problems
Here's my full blog post: http://truthtech0.blogspot.com/2013/03/android-maxell-maxtab-c8-tablet-market.html
Thanks for your efforts, I'll give it a try. I was going to try Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry, but as you've confirmed it works, I'll use Android Root Unlock.
I think it's running Jelly Bean, it's my dads tablet. I'll see him tomorrow.

Anyone managed to install either a recovery image or a custom rom on the maxtab?
I've rooted mine but cannot get fastboot to work and unable to load a recovery image. Adb is working OK. Tried clockworkmod but device is unsupported.
gadget19, what happened to yours, why do you need to recover or use custom rom?

I tried the google play fix but its not working for me. I wanted to use a custom rom so that I get google play to work correctly and also to try out 4,2 features.
Hi, thank you for your guide.
Unfortunately i'm unable to complete it because when i connect the maxtab c8 to a windows 7 system it doesn't find the MID driver so the root bat doesn't find the device.
Do you have any hint in how to complete the procedure?
Thank you.

Thanks for the hint; I was able to execute the bat file but i still have some problems.
The procedure looks like complete but if I open Root Explorer and try to do some changes in \system\app it just tell me that it's in read only mode.
Tried root check pro and it's all red...
superuser installed
sbin/su: permission denied
system/bin/su: no file
system/xbin/su: Setuid attribute present and root user ownership present. Root access is correctly configured for this file! Executing this file can grant root access!
system/xbin/sudo : no exsist
su binary not found or not operating correctly
Tried to run the su file in system/xbin/su as a script on the tablet and via adb without any changes. Checked a bit online but i'm a bit stucked since my other android device (lg p500) was much easier to root.
If you have any idea i't will be very helpful. Thank you.
Ok solved.
To easy root the maxtab c8 (android 4.1) i used the RK29 tab tolkit v1.3: easy and fast.
Now i have problem installing the play store...
I followed the guide but since i don't have any Vending.apk or phonesky.apk in system/app i just copied it without a backup, rebooted but nothing happened.
Need more testing.
Ok play store installed and working.
I didn't use the apk linked in the first post, i had to use this one instead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1934441
The method is the same (copy in system/app, set the permission as rw-r--r-- and then reboot) just use the apk i linked.
Hope this help someone.:victory:

[Q] Can not install on USB Storage or SD Card problem.

I have a Nextbook 7, September 2013 model which has a AMLogic chip inside it, not sure which one, which has a stock rom, but is rooted using motochopper. I have on my computer Android Ultimate Toolbox Pro, which I downloaded either off here or off a google search result. The message Can not install on USB Storage or SD Card is coming up whenever I install certain games on Google Play. If I install them from LEGALLY OBTAINED apk files, it just says App Not Installed. I have tried the smdl2tmp.asec fix, but according to the logcat which I just made with Android Ultimate Toolbox, smdl2tmp.asec can't be made. I have got certain apps to install by decrypting the apk, editing the AndroidManifest.xml to say internalOnly, signed it with a pre-made keystore thing, and they work, except for Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing. The game runs fine, but I can't sign on to Google Play Games using this app, as the certificate doesn't match. (I Think.) If someone could help me, that would be great. I also attached the logcat I made to this post. I'm on Windows XP at the moment, but I have XUbuntu on a seperate HDD in my computer, with dsixda's Android Kitchen. Thank you in Advance.

Connecting Nexus 7 To Windows 10 Laptop After Root

Hi there. I don't know if this the right place to ask my question but I couldn't find a section that seemed to fit my question. Sorry if it's the wrong place!
I have no experience with rooting devices but I wanted to try and install Android 7 on my Nexus 7 tablet so I watched a video on how to do it. I have successfully managed to install Android 7 and the tablet boots up and works fine but it refuses to connect to my PC.
I want to install the Google Play Store app but I can't get the apk file onto the tablet. I've tried e-mailing it to myself but the tablet won't save the file. What am I doing wrong?
Many thanks
Nicky

For the connecting to PC, it sounds to me like you're not opening USB options to enable MTP when you connect the device to PC.
As,for the app not saving from your email. Go to system settings>applications>(your email app), open the app info for your email app, then tap the permissions option, then enable permission to storage.

Question You can't install the app on your device [SOLVED]

I'm attempting to side load Teams downloaded from Google Play running in an emulator onto my Pixel Pro 7. I get the error in the subject after I tap "Install" link from the "Do you want to install this app?" dialog after executing the .apk that I extracted using APK Extractor from the emulator
The emulator is running a Pixel 4 with Android API 34 x86_64 UpsideDownCake image. I tried an Arm image thinking I had the wrong OS architecture but that isn't the problem. Could it be related to the Pixel 7 Pro (and Pixel 7) needing 64 bit apps and Teams isn't 64 bit? I can't find anywhere that says what architecture the Teams app is and I'm not sure what the problem is. Any ideas on how to get Teams installed? I need it for work but it isn't work adding a google account to my phone although I still need Teams badly lol.
Try the ARM64v8A file from here - https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/micro...icrosoft-teams-1416-1-0-0-2023063101-release/
Install it directly on the phone.
