Is mic audio recording quality horrible for you too? Please confirm! - Realme 5 Pro Questions & Answers

This Realme 5 Pro is amazing for the price, definitly.. BUT THAT MIC..? I had poor mic on cheap smartphones before but this one is reaching the lowest level possible ever, it's just H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E! Just wondered if it's the same for you.. I suppose it is. How to make it better? This is certainly possible as this is a SOFTWARE issue (i use cheap $1 mic on computer and it's AMAZING in compare..)!

Yes.. same here.. .03 update

Yes. Also in voice notes of WhatsApp and Telegram. I'm thinking in buying another phone...

Xiaomi USB-C earphone

Has anyone bought the Xiaomi Piston Noise Cancelling Hybrid Earphones Type-C ?
On most of the websites (aliexpress, gearbest, xiaomi.eu) , they are stated are compatible with Xiaomi Mi 5, Xiaomi Mi 5S, Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus, Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Xiaomi Mi Mix and Xiaomi Mi 6, but on the indian Xiaomi website (http://www.mi.com/in/earphonetype-c/) the compatible phones are Mi 5 and Mi MIX 2.
I have some. They work, but I've had some weird glitching sounds relating to turning the screen on and off - heavy distortion and clicking. Not sure if it's related to the headphones, the ROM (global stable) or my phone.
When they're working they're quite good.

Xiaomi Mi A1 vs Moto G5S Plus Camera Comparison Test Who will win Dual Camera Battle?

Hi guys I made camera comparison on Xiaomi Mi A1 vs Moto G5S Plus with ample of shots to test the camera on those two after recent camera update as well as Android Oreo 8.0 update. You can find an in-depth review of Xiaomi Mi A1 & Moto G5S Plus Camera.
Finally, I got a chance to test out Xiaomi Mi A1 and Motorola G5S Plus. Both the smartphones have nearby feature, i.e. Dual camera. So, I will do camera review by capturing pictures and video in both Daylight and low light conditions, with the different set of an option they got.
Those ads thou (10) lol
Im bias Mi A1 is the WINNER!
I've used both the phones..mi a1 does far better in taking portrait shots than moto. Moreover motog5s plus had a manufacturing defect of dust inside camera( rgb sensor as much as i remember ). However mi a1 really starves at lowlight which can be rectified a bit by google cam(rooted). But overall mi a1 wins as per my experience. What do others think?
Video recording and audio quality much better on g5s plus.

Coming from LG G6

Hey
I'm currently a lg G6 user and I'm thinking about buying the mi mix 2s !
I live in Paris so had the chance to test it live in their store and found it beautiful, the screen was very good and the camera too, but I also tried the Xiaomi S2 in hand and felt good too.
I know the price would be a factor, but it's not the case for me and Idk what to buy, the S2 or the mi mix 2s.
I mostly use my phone for youtube, chatting sms calls... no games and I take many pictures, so the camera and battery are important to me (I also like to use custom roms ...)
I ask you if you could please give me your opinion and help me choose
Many thanks !
The Mi Mix 2S has the better camera and internal specs, also the build materials are better. But that's because they are different phones, aimed at different targets: The Mi Mix 2S being a flagship, whereas the S2 is a mid tier phone.
I totally agree with Kristof_clg, however keep in mind that the 2s is very heavy. Feels very strange if you are not used to it
I also came from a G6. Don't get the 2S. Hell, don't get any Xiaomi device.
Too many broken/missing features.
Just get another LG or something like that.
I was on LG G5, next ZUK Z2 Pro, next OnePlus 3 and now on Mix 2S and it's A LOT better than all previous ones, smoothness, camera, quality build, the screen, it's very very impressive, I know the G6 and you should leave LG for Xiaomi.
I moved from LG6 to MIX 2S and don't regret it. all specs are obviously better, including battery life. took me a while to get used to weight, MIX 2s is a very, very heavy device. there were few problems with original software, but latest update fixed it. Camera is much better. design was the reason i bought MIX, but if i should do it again, i will not buy Xiaomi device again.

Could you please explain the reasons why? Since I already had a redmi note 4 it was great overall besides the camera.
Thanks !
"Very, very heavy" ?! Seriously ? I don't feel it heavy at all ?

Depends on what phone you had before. I bought the 2s after I used the oneplus one for a long time... The 1+1 is wonderful lightweight and the 2s feels like I can murder someone with it

191 g vs 163 g that's a very big difference, isn't it?

It simply doesn't make a big deal to me.
I owned 11 smartphones and it truly doesn't bother me. In fact I'm okay with it.
Just my personal preference.
I came from an HTC 10 and a Nexus 6 before that. Neither of those phones was built to be a lightweight, and even I noticed how heavy the 2S is. That said, it doesn't bother me a bit. To me if feels sturdy and I would much rather that than it feeling cheap and like it couldn't take a drop (my first couple of Samsung phones come to mind). Plus as stated earlier, you could use it as an effective weapon if needed
LG have had quality build issues. G4 bootloop due to bad memory, G5 gps Very weak, to not working at all. I have a g5 currently and have a mix 2s on its way to me. I dont know what missing features apart from headphone jack and no microsd slot there are. Mix 2s has an ir blaster like g5 has which you wont find on any other current flagship main stream device now and 8gb ram 256gb rom is more than what samsung or lg give you, 4gb of ram on s9 is terrible for a premium device. Micro sd cards are reletively slow anyway, getting 256gb mix 2s negates the need for microsd.

The Mix 2S has an IR blaster? I tried the Mi Remote app and it told me the phone wasn't compatible.

Sorry it doesn't. Some sites that list specs incorrectly say it has. Obviously googling for "mix2s ir blaster" takes you to those sites, my mistake. I have my mix 2s now, I didn't when I posted that.

Software OS updates of Vivo Nex

Hi everyone am interested in Vivo Nex. But am concerned about it software os updates. How is the updates usually for Vivo ? I don't want crazy fast updates like OnePlus updates. But atleast can i get an update once in 2-3 months ? Also will it be upgraded to android Pie and Q ? Any ideas ?
Am asking about Indian units of Vivo Nex
I i were you, I would wait the Mi Mix 3, it will launch in october, and pretty sure it will have a good support on xda about rom custom. Funtouch OS is too restrictive and worse than Miui, so trust me, wait

Brother the problem is more than that. I want an audiophile centric smartphone. So either LG V40 or G7 or Vivo Nex. Only LG and Vivo are somewhat passionate about the audio department. Some other phones maybe good but it cannot reach audiophile quality area that LG and Vivo does. The difference can easily be notted with some little expensive in earphones like Fiio FH1 , Sennheiser Momentum in ear etc which supports hi RES sound.

No way xiaomi will gave us HI FI dac
And HI FI dac with nex is great but volume needs to be louder

Is the sound good?

I'm thinking of buying the xiaomi mi 10 pro, but I wanted to know how is his sound, volume, quality ... and in terms of using headphones?
I saw some criticisms saying that his volume was average, and with headphones he was not tending to a good volume.
so... what they tell me...

I don't think you can find a phone with better sounding speakers than mi 10 pro. I can suggest checking out the speaker comparison of gsmarena in Mi 10 pro review. They are not the loudest but have the best quality (imho). you can add other devices to compare them
I disabled "Disable absolute volume" option in developer settings which was oddly enabled by default. if that option is enabled you have to turn up the volume separately from your headphones and the phone. it is probably why some people say their headphones are not loud enough.
edit: also check this post
