Try stock ROM and see if the issue remains, if it does, then it might be a hardware issue...

did you upgraded from stock 4.1 to stock 4.2
chech your router if it's working fine or not
run a wlan test on your tab
also wipe cache in cwm
good luck:good::good:
If you were upgrading from 4.1 it's strange, but do what @up wrote. If it won't help reflash ROM
The problem is that is never turned on the wifi! I've changed the android version of the 4.1, 4.0 and nothing still does not activate the wifi. We also perform the factory reset and still not start the wifi??? someone will have a solution? I tried to figure out wpa_supplicant sovereign but do not know much

Wi-FI bug won't find home network.

Hello all, it all started on 5.1.1. I flashed a new build of carbon and suddenly it was searching for WiFi constantly and not finding it at all. So I did a clean install of exodus and then cm 12.1. So I went back to stock locked my boot loader on 6.0.1. The WiFi issue still persist. Twrp 2.8.7
1 and radio/modem for mmb29k. So my question is what is going on. Any hope for me or is device done for.
It is possible that the wifi chip is defective. I would try flashing a stock LP build to rule out mm as being the cause.
I had two nexus 5 phones that also suddenly failed to connect to any networks the wifi was stuck at "turning on". I could only solve the problem by swapping in a new motherboard.
Oh that sucks. Thanks for the reply. Will try your suggestion and will look further into this issue.

Totally dead WIFI

Wifi is dead. Unable to turn it on in settings, same for hotspot. Test in engineering menu fails. Reboot, connections setting reset, full wipe does not help.
Phone is 1mo old.
Any ideas?
Is the phone upgraded to the latest Asus release?

Yes, it happened on latest firmware (.145)
I had this issue when I first got my phone and upgraded to A10. No wifi, it wouldn't even turn on. I downgraded to Pie, configured and connected the wifi and then flashed back to A10 and it worked.

I've tried downgrading but that did not help
Sounds like a hardware issue.
