Debloat your Xperia 1 with ADB - Sony Xperia 1 Guides, News, & Discussion

I have successfully debloated some apps in to my Xperia1 with ADB tool by Szaki .
Xiaomi ADB FastbootTools software from github without unlocking bootloader of my phone.
Quick Guide:
First install Java in your computer.
Activate developer mode on your phone.
Activate USB Debugging.
Make sure you have your Sony drivers installed
Install the app searching on github Szaki XiaomiADBFastbootTools
The app is very easy to use.
I am not able to insert links at the moment as this is my first post but google it and you will see the light.
Plug your cable.
Now you can uninstall any app appearing on the software list of the app.
It will uninstall the apps or deactivate them from your main user account of your phone.
At least I have uninstalled Facebook main app, and all google apps that I never use.
This is not a real fix to get rid of the unwanted apps from your phone but at least they are totally unable to be collecting data, as supposed .
To delet them forever you will need to unlock your bootloader, but remember that Sony doesn't like that and you will loose warranty and features.
Please Sony stop all this nonsense with un-unlocked bootloaders.
Just copy the other companys, you will make me happy again.
I hope this help.

[Q] ST26a uninstall uninstallable apps

Hate to post this, but spend sometime looking and reading different posts and site and need some direction.
OS: v4.1.2
Kernel: v3.4.0 [email protected]
Firmware: 11.2.A.0.33
Bootloader unlock allowed: No
Left the carrier I get the phone from and am on a different carrier. This is my first cellphone as I cancelled the landline since my mom passed and cell is cheaper and more convenient. Tried Titanium backup, but it stated phone needed to by rooted.
There are apps from the original carrier that were useless even if I stayed with them and just taking up space and can not be uninstalled. Example, Satellite PVR. I had added a couple of apps that I needed, but needed to go through and clean data on the phone since there was not enough room as updates were failing. Have about 200MB free now on the internal memory. Going to use the SDK to change the install location to 2 so I can move the apps and will probably install some app to force move some for them to the SD card since Sony does not support moving app to SD (did not know this until I did some searching).
Not really looking at installing a custom ROM as I only use the phone to talk. Besides each ROM has it's advantages and disadvantages and do not want to start messing around with what is currently working as one of the needed app (the reason I needed a smartphone) was not working and need coding work to get it to work on the JLo.
Thanks
hi,
you can't uninstall system apps without root permissions :/ you can root your phone using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2366577
rooting your hone isn't install custom rom or hacking system , it just give administration permission to you. like on Microsoft windows computer normal user & Admin user.
Also, one day you need to install custom rom for your phone, you can't do it. because "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"
however you can install stock based custom roms
Thanks. I read that post about rooting it.
The apps I am trying to uninstall are not android system apps, but carrier added apps that serve no purpose. The example I gave Satellite PVR is if you have as have a satellite system from that carrier and control it remotely (I am sure you knew that!). I have no satellite from that carrier so app is just taking up space.

Go to menu app manager and add apps, then you can load a file or just add the name of the package in the list. Save and your apps will appear in list
I really thank you too!
Despite MIUIMIX, there is a lot of bloatware left on the device.
Thank You for list Safe debloat list What more can we uninstall ?? Especially what applications from Google, so that the system remains stable

use adb, you can delete all apps without root.
1. adb shell
2. pm list packages
3. pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package>
just a question, there is any difference using disable instead of uninstall??
thanks
yes, deactivate, the application remains installed in but not functional, no activity in RAM.
Quick question guys! I have successfully uninstalled or disabled most of the apps that were annoying me in my Mi 10T. I also tried adding the default Camera app to the ones I wanted to uninstall through the "App Manager -> Add Apps" menu and it returned a warning that I might end up bricking my device. I didn't go through with it and would like to know if someone has done it without facing any problems. Should I go on with it?? I am used to using Gcam and it bumps me that I get to have a set of unwanted apps (Camera - Gallery)!!
great tool.
i just want to a add a few comments:
1. i would add a select all - deselect all in the different categories. uninstaller for example.
2. in the uninstaller you're missing quite a few apps - contacts, phone, gallery, themes,(all of xiaomi ) google news and maybe also sim toolkit and security (dunno if security is essential).
3. debloating poco launcher without ensuring you have an alternative can be a bit of a problem, so maybe a hint.
thanks for all!

Bloatwares

Hi Everyone!
I was searching about the removal of Bloatware and found this:
https://gadgetstouse.com/blog/2019/...oatware-from-realme-smartphones-without-root/
It teach us how to remove Bloatwares with this steps:
1 - You need to enable developer options by going to Settings > About phone > tap on Build number 7 times.
2 - Now, go to the developer and enable the USB Debugging option.
3 - Connect your phone to your PC via USB cable and open an elevated(Run as Administrator) command window.
4 - Enter the command “adb shell” and press Enter.
Now, enter the commands from the list below to remove the respective app.
pm uninstall –k ––user 0 Name Of The App
And, i made a list of apps that I THINK it could be removed (no technical knowledge at all!).
Does anyone removed those apps or know that is too risky to do so?

Yeah I've done this on the chinese ROM, can't remember exactly what i did remove (it wasn't exactly that list), I used an app called 'Package Names' from the Play Store to help identify which ones I wanted to remove.
It is a bit risky so I targeted the Breeno voice stuff and apps that I knew wouldn't be system critical, has been a success.
Google assistant now working. Also google feed now comes up instead of the breeno feed thing.
Nearly feels like a european ROM, my only remaining niggle is how to get location tracking turned back on for google maps timeline.

Yes same here as well. DId you manage to get the google feed to display English instead of straight Chinese characters as well?
As a bit of information, IDK if you've played around with defaults aswell:
I have been trying to get past the default app limits arbitrarily placed in the OS. I followed similar instructions to above to get a working SMS app other than the stock Messages. For me personally, I enjoy using Textra.
First I backed up the stock messages app and then removed it via the method above. Then I reinstalled it. Next I deleted Textra and then reinstalled it as well. I set Textra to default in the Textra app itself. Finally I removed Messages. I can message in Textra, but every time I receive a message the entire system has a hint box that appears that suggests to change preferences. It is important to note that the OS does not recognize Textra as the default, but it functions as one since the default is removed temporarily.

I think this is a sytem app,
So as to remove it ,you need root previlage ,
AS the twrp for realmex50pro is not availabe, you need to do this,
extract your bl of your current rom,
install magisk ,use magisk to patch the bl
boot to fastboot mode, flash the magisk patched bl,
boot to system, and complete the magisk install,
In magisk,set adb root previlage,
In adb command,type su,
then you type the correspondence delete command,
This time,Things will be done
Anyway, extract the bl of the current rom may be the most difficult task.
Try this website,I got it from another post,
GitHub - bkerler/oppo_ozip_decrypt: Oppo Firmware .ozip decrypter

[APP] Google Play replacement (Aurora Store) background app install support

Hi all,
I created a modified version of Aurora Services (a system app developed by the Aurora Store team in order to enable apk installation from the Aurora Store or Aurora Droid without user interaction).
My version runs as a user app and uses local adb wifi shell in order to install apps without any user interaction, it also allows batch concurrent updates/installs.
It's of course open source in GitLab and Github.
Install instructions:
Download and install the lasted apk from Github Releases
Enable adb wifi from a computer (this needs to be done every time the phone is restarted) -
Code:
adb tcpip 5555
Launch the Aurora Services app and follow the instructions
Whitelist Aurora Store and AuroraDroid
Select Aurora Services as installation method in Aurora Store and AuroraDroid
Enjoy PlayStore like experience on your Huawei!
Feel free to report issues here and on GitLab and Github but note that this project won't be very actively supported.
Good Idea.
You save many people who are suffering from gsm instability.
Thanks,
goldybewon
Doesn't seem to work for me. It's stuck on "Service Please wait..." for a while then it changes to "disabled".
Any ideas?
EDIT: never mind, it appears to be working now.

How did you get it to work? I have the same problem you had, keeps on "Service, Please wait...", and in the end I get the "disabled".
What did I do:
Enabled USB Debugging in Developers Settings
Connected USB-cable to PC
Checked if Debugging was found (adb devices), and found the device.
Typed: "adb tcpip 5555", device reconnects after that.
Opened Aurora Services, popup comes up to connect to adb again.
After that, it keeps ons "Please wait"...

I can't keep it working. Jumps to "Disabled" every now and then. And all background installs reply "Failed"
Same problem as Toinieboy. The service shows "Please wait..." for a while and then "Disabled". All the installs fail.
Once the adb dialog is granted but the app still doesn't register the access to adb, you can try force closing Aurora Services from the settings and reopening.
It can be a bit finicky at the beginning.
So it worked for me.
Just type the commands in then open Aurora Services and let the cable plugged in. Did it with a Macbook and it worked after a second try.
But for me I have a question, how does it work for ppl that have GMS not installed? Is it just for the Aurora store? Because the store worked before. Do I have no benefit without GMS, can someone help me and explain what it does?
Thanks a lot.
It just allows the installation and updating of apps from the Aurora Store without interaction.
For example when batch updating many apps you won't need to click install on the package installer and then wait for the installation to finish, it will just download the apps and install them simultaneously in the background.
I get the service to work "showing enabled" and i also selected aurora services in the aurora store, but still all the installs fail... What am i doing wrong?
I followed steps from OP and thing doesn't work. Service is up, Aurora Store and Aurora Droid are installed and installation method is Aurora, but auto install/update doesn't work anyway.

Thanks for the great modifications, @JavaAndroidGeek .
I modified JavaAndroidGeek's Aurora Services to support setting hostname and fix some issues.
BUGFIX
* Fixed the issue that unauthorized devices are not recognized for the first time.
* Fixed connection issue if multiple devices on the same network.
ttps://gitlab.com/tcgh/AuroraServices/-/releases
Note: I notice that some huawei phone (ex. Mate Xs) have to enable "Allow ADB debugging in charge only mode" or it will disable adb tcpip when you remove usb cable.
Very strange. The method just doesn't seem to work for me, neither with the apk from the original post nor with the apk from XDATZO's post above. Tried uninstalling the Aurora Store and Services. Re-installed Aurora Store, downloaded and installed the Aurora Services 2.1.1, enabled usb debuging, enabled usb debuging while charging, connected the phone to the laptop and enabled the adb tcpip 5555. Aurora Services seems to be enabled in the app, whitelisted Aurora Store, changed the installation method to Aurora Services.
Tried to update apps in the Aurora Store, the metadata and the apps download show up but then its just stuck at "Installing". Nothing happens after that.
Any ideas?

I reviewed the source code again, but I couldn't find the cause of the problem.
Could you tell me the following so I might be able to investigate a little more closely?
* Uninstalling feature works?
* Can't install all the apps? Only some apps?
I can't make any promises because I can't debug with your device, but I'll try to review it again.
I tested it with my mate xs. I'm sorry if it doesn't work with p40 pro.
If anyone has worked properly on other devices, please let me know.
Thanks for helping out @XDATZO.
Uninstall seems to work, no problem there. None of the apps I selected for update in Aurora store get installed.
I tried re-doing all the steps again today. Even tried to update the apps with the USB cable connected to the laptop after restarting the tcpip on 5555. Also tried an install of a new app (instead of an update). It queues up, then downloads fine. Then shows installing and basically is stuck there forever.
It doesn't work on Huawei P40 Pro.
I tried all version from this thread, debugging is enabled, service is enabled, aurora is whitelisted.
After clicking install, the button is gray, and nothing is happening further.
Hello everyone, I was able to figure out why the modified Aurora Services did not work for the majority, including me. I wrote on 4pda instructions on how to set it up correctly, here: 4pda.ru/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=990132&view=findpost&p=101157188 .

Thank you for reporting!
I released v2.1.2, it notify installation errors. If no errors are showed, I guess the issue is around ADB connection before the installation. (Then I have to check more.)
As @V_A_D_I_M_O_N (thanks) mentioned, I agree that we have to disable "Monitor apps installed by ADB". When I enable it, Aurora services on my device doesn't work. It get stuck at installing as same as your situation. Could you check the option in devloper option?
I'm sorry but I have to leave for about a week. Let me check what happened when we enable "Monitor apps installed by ADB" later.

Thanks @XDATZO & @V_A_D_I_M_O_N. I can confirm "Monitor apps installed by ADB" was the issue. Once unchecked, the installations work fine.

Is it possible to automate multiple Google Play app install?

I think this is basically general(not device specific) question so I am posting my question here.
I have Galaxy Note 10 Plus which got OS upgrade recently. I havn't upgraded my phone so currently my phone is at Android Q(10).
I don't have much time to do OS upgrade. More specific, I don't have time to do full wipe, manually download and flash firmware with Odin, install huge amounts of apps, configure those apps etc. Well, you might think: why don't use just OTA upgrade? That's because I don't trust OTA thing. It broke my previous phone few years ago. After that, I always flash firmware with Odin after doing full wipe.
The main problem is, I can't use 'Backup Apps' because it is OS upgrade and I don't think simply moving app data from Q(10) to R(11) is good idea. I have to configure everything one by one by my hand. That will consume a lot of time. Like I said, I don't have much time for doing this. I have to save some time.
If then, I might be able to save some time when installing huge amounts of apps from Google Play Store. I guess it is about ~80 apps. If I can automate those app installation, I might be able to save some time and use that time to configuring apps.
So here is my question: How can I automate app installation in Google Play Store? I've searched Google but only got disappointing result. 'Download those APKs and install them via ADB!', 'Emulate touch input in Google Play Store!' etc. are not what I want to do. I think there would be much elegant way to do bulk install of Google Play Store apps.
TL;DR
I want to know if there is simple way to install multiple(~80) apps in Google Play Store without doing these:
- Downloading those APKs and install them via ADB
- Emulate touch input with certain app
My guess is there is no other way than to download the apps in question and afterwards install them via ADB, what all can be done by means of a common Windows Powershell file.

Wait, can I download and install apps via ADB with single powershell script? If then, I can accept it if those app which were installed by ADB can be updated with Google Play Store...
If yes, can you give me hint about that script?
Don't have such a script at my fingertips ... And I have not the time to write it ... Think it shouldn't be too difficult for you to write it ...
