Just got update G935TUVU4APIA dated September 21, 2026. Size was over 300 mb.
Finally, they added option to stop automatic default app assignment.
Will see what else is there.
Interesting my update is dated September 1, 2016
Security patch level says September 1. Kernel version September 21.
This is not any different from the update weeks ago that was mentioned in the other thread, New LTE-A update.

Confirmed here.
THREAD CLOSED as we don't need two discussions on the same OTA.
It is my second month in using this Verizon Pixel 2. I am not using it in the US but rather had a friend bought it from Google Store and had someone brought overseas.
My Pixel 2 doesn't seem to receive the Jan 18 update yet. However, I have heard that despite being Verizon's phone, it still receives OTA directly from Google. Do Verizon's Pixel phones usually receive OTA update later than normal (unlocked) phones? Is there any Verizon's Pixel 2 out there already received Jan 18 update?
Please share. Thank you.
I have a VZW Pixel 2 XL and haven't received the January 2018 update yet. I know there were talks that the "check for updates" button really doesn't do anything right now because a previous update broke it.

Not yet, but you can always flash a kernel with it or sideload.
Not yet. Non-Verizon Pixel 2 with Verizon SIM.
I received the January 5 patch on January 4. Go figure.
I received the update notification on the 5th. Didn't install because I'm rooted.
I got my 5 January security update (presumably the fix for the processor exploit drama) OTA...I did have to get the phone to request the update manually (from Settings), but it found it right away and installed. I'm on Verizon and live in Hawaii...I heard that sometimes location matters. It took a few days for me to get the Android 8.1 update.
Thanks for all the replies.
As of writing this reply, my Pixel 2 still saying that the device is up to date.
For sideloading, I went to Google Developers website and saw 2 variants of Jan 2018 OTA patches.
- 8.1.0 (OPM1.171019.013, Jan 2018)
- 8.1.0 (OPM1.171019.014, Jan 2018, O2/UK only)
which one of these is for Verizon Pixel? I'm not sure because for Sep and Nov patches there are dedicated links for Verizon variant e.g. 8.0.0 (OPD3.170816.023, Nov 2017, Verizon) However, as I went to VZW's website at https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/google-pixel-2-update/ it says that its Jan 2018 patch is now live and the version number is OPM1.171019.013
If so, can I just sideload the 8.1.0 (OPM1.171019.013, Jan 2018) OTA patch? Does Pixel have some kind of fool-proofing to protect itself from flashing the wrong patch?
Thanks!

I just flashed the factory image for 8.1.0 (OPM1.171019.013, Jan 2018) and I'm on Verizon with the phone bought at the Verizon store and an unlocked bootloader. So I think it's safe to say that this is the Verizon version of the patch.

Thanks for the confirmation. But how did you unlock the bootloader anyway?

Page one of that thread, my link isn't working right.
Thank you all. I have successfully sideloaded the image 8.1.0 (OPM1.171019.013, Jan 2018) on my VZW Pixel 2. I'm not in the US and never used my Pixel 2 to connect to Verizon's network. I bought VZW version of Pixel 2 just because I like the blue unit. I don't know if I will have to sideload the patch every month from now on.
I have a Verizon Pixel 2 (bought in the Google's pop-up shop in NYC), I'm actually living in Europe, using a different carrier, and I didn't received the Jan 18 update yet.
Usually Verizon phones receive updates later. 8.1 December update was released on December 5th, and I received it like 1 week later

Thanks for the info. I will wait until I get the update next month to see how late the patch would come in February.
Nothing crazy to report, but just FYI,
Build Number updated to OPM1.171019.011-CKH-180803.6033
Security Patches Dated JULY 5, 2018

Hi
I received a 7.1mb update which I assume is the zeroday bug fix. Surely an update this small wouldn't contain the other fixes mentioned in the android security bulletin?
Also I've noticed My system version is 6 October but the Google play system update says 1 September. Anyone else have this?
Cheers for your help guys!
Well I checked for a Google play system update in the security settings and it has just updated to 1st October from September 1st.
Verizon users and retail users still with the same patch?

Me 2!
Just got May 1st one
1980-3 amazon variant here and I just got the May 1st security patch. QPFS30.130-15-11-3 is the build number for my phone. Yeah with an S. QPFS
Yeeeaaahhh, May security patch is downloading! I manually checked for updates just to see what will happen and then it popped up...
Almost in August and motorola send to us the May Security patch, why allways the patches goes with two months delay?????
Got July Security Patch this night. I am with retail version.
Received 2 updates in a month, 1st update was for April security patch and then last night (August 6th) was July security patch. My is retail version.
I eventually update mine to Android 10
It's July patch
I have gotten the July 1, 2020 security patch. I can't recall if it was last week or the week before that, or even before that. I just know that I haven't had an issue with not getting the updates. My phone was purchased unlocked directly from Motorola, so I don't know how much that has to do with it.
