[Update] Watch MORE live TV on HD2 (10/15/2010)

LIVE TV ON YOUR PHONE​
I wrote this guide along time ago in other xda-developers thread, this is the updated version.
There are several ways for watching live TV on your phone, I don't watch live TV on my phone, hope you find it useful though.

First -MobiTV
After testing it out it is one of the best apps for watching TV on your phone, there are 2 versions, one included on the USA HD2 and the version found on the mobitv website.
Back in early 2009 I manage to hack the 1 day free trail version, it was after they release a patched version and removing the .vars wouldnt work anymore however I never notify mobitv about it, I never post my findings online because I didn't wanna get sued, however the hack doesn't work anymore.
Second -Mobile free TV http://www.mobilefree.tv
Never tested this one out.
Third -Skyfire http://www.skyfire.com/
Skyfire is one of the best ways to watch live tv.

One amazing application with poor channel lineup, the programing suck (at least for me) thats all im going to say.

Too bad none of those "TV" apps show anything worth watching. Wish cable TV would start streaming even if for a fee. At least that way someone could watch something worth watching.

I still think ORB is really your best bet right now. You have to have a PC at home with a TV tuner - but it works quite well.

SEE THAT'S WHY I AM CURRENTLY WORKING ON THAT, sooooo many TV apps and there is never nothing worth watching, if you click on the link at the bottom of first post there is where I will post some REAL TV programing for manila TV.

its an option HOWEVER having the need of a pc and a TV tuner its a major disadvantage for many people.

Actually I stop working on hacking mobiTV along time ago since I don't watch TV and as soon as some one hacks it and makes a post online the guys over at mobiTV are on your case in no time trying to sue you.

i have SPB TV on my HD2, if i click on a channel it says Opening.. goes into landscape and goes back with the headin Opening and it stays there.

Works fine on my HD2
but Ihave a strong signal and get pretty fast download speeds (1.5 mps). Works even better on wi-fi speeds of 3.5+. A couple of stations seem to load the buffer and play then load and play again no matte what the signal and download speed.

Hi! First of all nice app . But i have a problem, after enter in the app i have to install flash player (done) then when i try to enter in a stream automatically the app redirect me to my browser and tells me that i need flash player to watch the stream. Im on jelly bean, there is any way to fix it? Thanks in advance and sorry if you dont understand me, my english is bad

Nice app mate . Will you ever change the app so it uses HTML 5 ? You go a cool selection of games. It will be nice to have some more games in it.

Yes friend HTML 5 will be adopted in a future release but for now Flash will do the job

Hey all,
I've been working at Pluto.TV (http://pluto.tv) for a few months now as the lead mobile developer. We just launched today on the web, Android, and iOS.
It has been awhile since I've published an app, and I'm pretty proud of how the Android app turned out. 8/10 #HOLO?

Really great job. I can't wait for Chromecast support. I've only been watching for a couple hours (on desktop) and already, I can see it changing the way I use YouTube at home. Keep it up!

The PR surrounding Chromecast is all over the place right now. Your social media reps are claiming Pluto.TV does support Chromecast, but there's a difference between casting a browser tab and built-in Cast buttons (Chrome API and APIs for mobile apps). Right now, you can't cast from Android, and the only way to watch on TV is to cast a tab (which is laggy).

I'm also interested when true chromecast support will come for the mobile apps. Thanks

Is it possible to get it without commercials? About a minute and a half of what I want to see, followed by three minutes worth of commercials.

It is very interesting to have a great TV at home. I really like it.
Recently I was scrolling on Instagram I found Pluto TV is such a great which supports Chromecast as well.

So, have been using this app since quite sometime and I find it wonderful the way we can get almost all channels on our smart phone/firestick. Developers of this app are friendly and add more features with every update. Keep up the good work.

I'm new to using this app. Does it work in the United States. Because every time I cuts on it it's a black screen.

With the latest version ThopTV is really improved a lot, I think soon they will surpass other free IPTV apps.
