i installed GMS (google mobile services) and all the google services and apps working perfectly except google duo .. i have tried many methods to try to solved this problem but unfortunately nothing solved(its keep gave me this message .. Unable to send request. Please check your Internet connection and try again on)
.. do you experienced any thing like that.. please help

Dear As i searched on internet there is no way to run Google Duo on new huawei phones, you can run the other apps but not Google Duo. Also tell me which method you used to install GMS on your phone, As I am experiencing issue with Google maps its giving error that device is not play protect certified, same issue with GMAIL app.

hi and thanks for your replying .. as i tald you before many methods i tried but the best one to install GMS is this method with out no error messages at all.. now its work with me for more than a week and every thing is ok and thanks for god :victory:

I'm sorry, mate.
I thought you wanted to make Google Duo work. It works for me and I have put a link to a method that allows me to use it ... I think I have responded to the post title, the method is very easy and it is also reversible, I think it costs you nothing to try, but...
I don't know what exactly you need.
This does not spoil the gsm at all. Have you read the thread well?

unfortunately .. i did it and its destroyed every thing .. now can not find new method with out error notification
Can you explain what exactly you have done, please? Because you are the first user to report this when doing the icebox and adb method
This method has nothing to do with google services, only with google framework. You can uninstall icebox and activate the google framework again to return to where you were. And in any case, if you've done something you shouldn't have, just reinstall google services from scratch. Many people spend a lot of time so that people with little knowledge can install everything. Please read everything well and, as a last option, reinstall everything again. It's not that bad, you already did it once, right?

Best way to get duo working is by doing icebox in now have duo working and my natwest bank

I have now got duo working. After following the ice box guide to freeze frame work. Duo working andy banking apps
Here's how I managed to get both the play store and duo working, this can be only be done when setting up Google services can't be done later.
When setting up Google play services, while making sure the play store is working for the first time download and activate Google duo. Should activate normally, now continue with your gsf setup and it should keep working.

Thanks for this tip! I feel hesitant installing GMS all over again. Are notifications working for Google Duo for you? I guess not?

I am fairly sure that won't work , like the fact that the 2FA popup doesn't work ...
Currently I use duo via web browser desktop mode. It's works great. The only issue is that I did not get noticed by incoming calls. This feature is working well on desktop. Did you find a way to put PWA in desktop mode on homescreen?

Same problem. I have found that two apps are not working from google namely Google Duo and Google News. They both can not login.

Download and install these. They are taken directly from Huawei's App Store so you won't have problems:

It says : Error occured while parsing the package for the 1st link.
BTW - I have google play installed.
If this helps - my phone is not rooted.

Awesome! Just remember to go into Settings----->Backup & Reset and enable Back up my Data so it's backing up to your Google Account.

Just search "Contact sync" in Huawei app store and choose to install the one from Google and you're good to go. Installing by apk always failed in my phone

Those two apk's were taken from the Huawei app store to ensure that they work properly.

Put the GoogleContactsSyncAdapter & GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter folders in system/app and set permissions (0755) then put the Phonesky folder in system/priv-app and set permissions then restart your phone.

No, then you have to open the Huawei app store and download the Play Store and Contacts Sync through there.
I deleted google play services by mistake..
I tried reinstalling the apk for gms pack and i did but the google app store is not opening even after installing the google play services apk...
Im getting the following message..
Need help here but im totally novice in these things...

Thanks. Found it. I did it earlier and i was about to enter and thank gm.
I had to delete every google app then install the gms then reinstall each app including the app store which worked.

Because i was entering 'core gms' in the search and i found gms by virtue of luck earlier today when i was searching for something related and it appeared in hiapp...

I found the APK for play services online with a little search so i installed it but then my google play still not work until i found the GMS pack on hiapp.
By the way, 2 additional questions:
-My google now voice is not working although i followed the steps to activate it as usual..
-Notifications dont work unless the apps are opened. I thought with B175 update it was supposed to have been fixed. It was fixed for me for a while but now neither whatsapp nor telegram send notifications unless apps are open.

When Google login i didn't proceed to install last 2 files which are Mod1and Mod2 for play services. because i kept receiving play services notifications errors so i install the 3rd file again. And play services notifications disappear forever. Only problem that google contacts not syncing so to fix this that I upgrade the play services using Play service Fix2020 app from link https://apkpure.com/fix-play-services-2020-update/com.rs.fix_and_update_play_services

Yes, I am using it now. But it took me almost 5-6 tries to work for me. I uses LZ method but for google account manager took file from above mentioned youtube link, and then after GSF i installed 3rd file. which worked for me.

around one week before. means after .159 update. I downgraded to .131 then do it, then update again.

Hi, I'm new to Huawei and kinda regret my choice..
I have looked through all the stuff regarding GMS and have managed to flash ok
I don't get the services working though but can use apps...some that is, the ones without GMS.
Will we be getting a custom recovery at all? I would love to change this EMUI crap.
I apologise if this has been asked...but as everyone can see, it's the big something thats missing.
GMS wont work with the new Security Patches.. What you can do is u can download Auora Store... Has Most of Google play store Apps..
Just remember Google apps wont work.
Some apps also may not work cause they Google API independed..
vmos works pretty well with emulating google apps.

I dont have any errors now, i disabled google play store from connection because everytime app updated itslef to newest version and then Play Protect error appeared... so i installed all app from AUrora store and its okay, but i am affraid if ill update Google services, gmail and other apps wont work like few tries before...

Try this:
I applied this solution and Google services (inc. push notif) have been working fine on my P40 Pro for almost three weeks now.
I learned there is not medium-long term solution for this issue. Sooner or later they will stop working.
We can only pray that Huawei ban will cease during 2022.
