How to enable Twin App feature wity GMS installed? - Huawei P40 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi guys, are there any users of twin app here? When I successfully installed GMS and enable the twin app feature, Google will automatically detect and again giving prompts of the errors but when I deleted the twin app it will go back to normal without error. How do you guys manage it to work? I need to use the twin app as I have both work and personal numbers for viber application. Same with facebook and messenger.
Also, for privatespace, do I need to go through to installation of GMS again?

Thanks for starting the thread, i am in same boat as well, i keep getting the errors

Can you use Parallel Space without sign in to google account?

I use twin app for WhatsApp. It looks like twin app creates a separate Google Play Services app and this second one is the one that has the errors.
All I did was mute notifications for this second version of Play Services. The original Google Play Services still runs fine for all apps (well with the known issues) with no errors. The only thing that doesn't work is backup and restore with Google drive on this second version of WhatsApp - it gives a device not certified error - when it works fine on the first one. Notifications for chats work fine on both versions of WhatsApp.

When the Play Services notification pops up, pull down the notification shade, swipe the play services notification a little to the left and tap the cog symbol. A box pops up at the bottom of the screen, tap 'more settings' and it will take you to play services notification settings, one of the notification options should be flashing or highlighted, tap that and then uncheck "allow notifications" this should turn off notificatons about the play services error but keep any other important notifications alive.
Hope this helps.

Mate 8 - chinese Model - Experience, Trouble + Root

Hi everyone,
i just received my Mate 8 (64GB/LTE/4GB) from China via UK Delivery. First i really have to say wow for speed and optic, its fantastic
My pre-installed PlayStore did not work well, so i decided to Update to C00B129 and reset the whole device. I reinstalled Google PlayStore via APK, got the Updates for Google Play Services and now i have the annoying Auto-Sync Problem with Apps like whatsapp, telegramm and even email. PNF(nonRoot) ect. wont really help, i set up all apps as "protected" so they can run in background after sending device to sleep. I also checked the Background-Data Restriction, its disabled. All apps can use Wifi and Mobile Data. Wireless is set to "always on", same with mobile Data.
For the moment i can just say that, once i open telegramm, email or whatsapp, all messages are received quickly without delay. If you press the app-Overview and close those apps via "trash"-Icon to free memory, no further messages are received until you re-open the app. Emails will be received as soon as you unlock the screen, if you do not close the email app and just jump back to home screen, email push works fine for me.
I have no idea why, it looks like the settings "protected app" does not work and the apps are closed as soon as you try to free some memory.
Btw, i know that most messenger apps use Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) for message delivery - where or in what app(s) are the GCM components integrated? Maybe its just necessary to install different google apps? If GCM is now integrated in google play services, i have no better idea how to fix that. A few people wrote that "phone manager" might be the problem, but i cant disable or even stop this app as its a system app...
Follow the steps here exactly as mentioned without skipping anything :
1) Factory reset your phone
2) After reset,
Download contact for android 6 apk
Then download contact sync APK for android 6
DO NOT LAUNCH OR EXECUTE any of them for now ...
Go to phone manager, go to permission manager and in CONTACT, let CONTACT app and CONTACT SYNC ALWAYS allow to change the contacts. It is by default on notify ...
Then, launch contacts app, introduce your login and password from google and it will sync all your contacts. AFTER that, you can download play store, google agenda etc ... You can find all apk i have mentioned on apkmirror
Then all will work perfectly with your chinese mate 8
Contact app for android 6
No results when I typed 'contact for android 6 apk' on the apkmirror site but the Play store came up with a list of contact manager apps. Do you have the exact name of the app?

Sorry, i wrote this to help people having issues with syncing their contact, so i ve posted this on the wring thread. About your problem, it is defintely a permission issue. Check also in the "account" section in the settings ...
Contact and calendar work fine for me. GoogleContactSyncadapter.apk will do the thing.
But I still wonder why
1. WhatsApp and email receive messages after app open, telegram with the same permissions always receive even with push
2. I can not open settings from apps with inapp purchase, I can only download via playstore and Run them with default settings. Additional content does not work and I wonder how inapp purchase Information is downloaded or submitted to the app once it's downloaded from playstore
Update
2. I can not open settings from apps with inapp purchase >>> some apps can be found as "modified" version somewhere else, so if inapp purchase fail to download/add optional components, you may use such a version ...
still need to figure out what components are missing...
here is the file that solve my contact sync problem .
com.google.android.syncadapters.contacts_6.0-2280749-23_(nodpi)_APKdot.com.apk
Update
You may download the "Google installer.apk" or get Google Apps via HiApp (better register a new account via website, you can use your email adress, no need for your mobile number)
i downloaded via HiApp :
Google Play Store >> v6.0.5 (seem to include Google Framework and Google Play Services)
Google Calendar Sync Adapter >> v5.2.3-99827563-release
Google Contact Sync Adapter >> v6.0-2302772
Now everything except the Push Notifications work fine. Even with Apps like Email or Whatsapp set to "allow run after screen lock", Access to Background Data granted, "ignore optimize >> yes" ect ect. the App does not notify me about any incomming Message as soon as you "close" them via Trash Icon/swipe them off. If you keep them "open" in background, notifications work fine.
I guess it´s something about the phone manager itself or Android 6, but it seems i can not fix that for the moment. Eventually there will be modified roms or an marshmallow root soon...
*** see mate 8 root thread for rooting and sync solution

Try this:
settings
advanced settings
battery manager
press the gear icon in the top of the screen
then set "keep mobile data on during sleep" to on.
That's off by default, and if you don't have a WiFi connection then yes the messages will be delayed.

Failed Retrieving Accounts with Google Voice

When I try to use the Google Voice app, it launches and gets stuck at the "Sign in to your Google Account" screen, with a brief message at the bottom that says "Failed retrieving accounts." It works fine on my Nexus 4 running Nougat (Lineage). Anyone able to use the Google Voice app on the Pixel 2?
I also notice some other weird account behavior, like in the maps app, in the side pane, I don't see my account name to sign in, but I do see it in a pop up if I click on "add account" (and can log in with maps--as well as Play and other apps).
Any thoughts what's up with Google Voice? Uninstalling it and reinstalling it did not help. Neither did restarting the phone several times.
*
[Edit: OMG, I answered my own question after futzing with this for more than an hour. It turned out that Google Play Services did not have permission to access contacts on my device and that caused the weirdness on Google Voice and Maps also.
So I went to: Apps & Notifications > All apps > Google Play services > Permissions and then flipped the switch to enable contacts.
I guess when the pop up says, "If you deny this permission, basic features of your device may no longer function as intended," they mean it. When I was disabling some of this stuff, I figured Google was just trying to scare me away from giving them more personal information (which Google probably considers a basic feature).
The funny thing is that on my Nexus 4 with Lineage, Google Play services has permission to access contacts, in the same place in the settings. But then in the Privacy Guard settings I set it to ignore requests to read or modify contacts from Google Play services and that apparently does not interfere with how it manages accounts. In fact, Privacy Guard says Google Play services has never tried to read or modify my contacts, even though it apparently needs permission to do so or won't work correctly. Weird.]
In my case it was not a permissions issue. My Google Play Services was very old and not updating itself. Loading the latest APK fixed the issue with Google Voice (via Apkmirror). I could not even update from the Play Store.

google (assistant) crash after move google to system app

Hello,
i rooted my tablet, then i moved the Google App from user app to system app,
using a mover app that i downloaded from the play store.
I did this to enable some google features that were not available before, like 'Voice Match' , that was greyed out before moving the Google App
Now i can activate Voice Match, but when i call the google assistent (for example, tapping on mic in the search bar) , the assistant seems to start, but then Google crashes with error.
The tablet is a Teclast t20 with android 7.1.1.
Why the Google/Assistant does crash?
Perhaps i missed to do something after moving the app?
The app i used is this:

Any suggestion?
Thank you!!

Cannot login in the apps with google services on phone

I have google play working on my phone (or at least I think so ) and the google maps stopped working a while ago, they were working before, the app closes.
But I can still get in to the playstore and download apps there, the problem is when I go to the app downloaded I have to login or create account and it says that I don't have google play services and I can't login or create accounts ( so I cannot use the app).
Any ideas or tips in what I should do? I love this phone and I would like to love it more! Any comments are really useful thanks:laugh:.
+1 , same problem

Looks like you simply blocked those annoying notifications from Google Play services. Redo the process of gms installation. This time make it properly, you shouldn't see notifications from past services.
You don't need to start from scratch, use Googlefier and Fix option.

Question GMS Notifications

Hello,
Does anyone know how to fix the delayed google services notifications? I have tried everything but they still came late, I have a google pixel and they came on time compared to my Fold 2 this happens when the device is locked but when I unlock it the notifications start popping out.
I have tried all these settings:
Disabled Battery->Settings->Scenarios->Sleep mode
Enabled Apps->Gmail->Autostart and Changed Battery saver mode to unrestricted
Enabled all notifications for the App in question
Rooted my devices and disabled Doze with the Doze off app
ran adb shell dumpsys deviceidle disable
Nothing has worked for me , any other idea what I could do?
Thanks
I don't know what GMS notifications are but I was going insane not getting gmail notifications when my phone screen was off as well, go back and look at my posts in this forum about it.
the app DozeOff fixed it for me from the Fdroid store. If you are rooted that should fix it. I think a combo of that app plus using the systemizer magisk module and making apps I was having problems with notifications system apps fixed it, dozeoff alone may fix it if you want to try that first.

GMS = Google Mobile Services, I have the dozeoff app installed but that alone didn't fix the issue, I'll try systemizing the apps.
Thanks!!
GMS is a framework, not an app. There are two basic frameworks on Android devices - GMS (Google Mobile Services) and HMS (Huawei Mobile Services). These frameworks must be installed on your device for apps from those respective infrastructures to work. GMS is backed into the firmware on Xiaomi CN ROMS, but it is not turned on by default. Search "Google" in your settings and you find "Google Basic Services". Turn it on. After that step, if you are not receiving instant notifications for particular Google apps, such as Gmail, you may want to use a different app. Email notifications using the Gmail app are notoriously slow on this device, as are Google email accounts accessed using the Outlook email app. The workaround for delayed Gmail notifications is to use an app called Edison Mail. Gmail accounts set up in Edison Mail get instant notifications. What other Google apps are you experiencing delayed notifications on?

Thank you for the clarification. The "Google Basic Services" has been enabled all the time and the issue persists, I also have notification issues with the Google Home app they are not arriving on time(I have Nest Security cameras) of course that app also uses the GMS framework for push notifications.
Thanks

Where to find this optimizations menu?
Go to main Settings on your Xiaomi device. Scroll down to find About Device/Phone and tap on it. Locate MIUI Version and tap several times on it. After that, you will get a message "You're now a developer!" on your device screen. Go back into Settings and you will now see Developer Options. Scroll down to the bottom of those options and toggle off Miui Optimizations.
