[Help] S9 plus SM-G965F baseband changed to unknown - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello There Guys
I rooted my device using TWRP, flashed two different modems in the hopes of getting my Imei ng problem fixed, which it didn't. After that i flashed the factory firmware again using odin and selected the nand erase and repartition options (don't really know why). When booted up after the flash , baseband and IMEI went "unknown". I rooted again and restored my efs file yet the IMEI and baseband are still unknown.
Please help me.
Did i somehow hard brick this phone?

I'm not really familiar with those errors on this device but, maybe try to flash stock modem and bootloader? What is your current software version?

Imei status: NG was problem of patch, you should not have messed with modem instead opened a thread about imei status:ng which i could have fixed it online for you via teamviewer or something. Now as it stands you need to flash latest firmware BL, AP, CP, CSC then PM me.

No Baseband or IMEI After Odin Flash

So I tried to putting the original firmware (TGY) back onto my phone to reset/wipe it through Odin. I wanted to remove everything on it, including the root. After successfully flashing it and wiping it, it seems that there is now no baseband or IMEI. I'm not too sure what's going on, any help would be appreciated.

[Q] No Baseband or IMEI After Flash

Bricked S6?

I flashed 5.1.1 using via odin 3.10 (no errors etc.) now my phone stuck at Powered by Android screen. I tried to reflash the firmware many times but still the same thing.
Before flashing 5.1.1 my phone was running Looper firmware. I did modify the build.prop (ro.securitystorage = false). Does this cause the issue?
When i get into recovery mode i see this yellow text
"dm-verity verification failed...
Need to check DRK first..."
Please help me to revive this phone. Thank you
I think the 5.1.1 update is just for T Mobile SM-G920T. Try flashing 5.0.2 for 920F if your device is international.
i posted it in a wrong forum. My phone is SM-G920T
Are you flashing the whole firmware/modem/bootloader and all the other things from the official tar file or using a modified tar file in order to be able to downgrade?
have to tried to flash back to stock 5.0.2???

Hey there. My devices (G920A) was showing IMEI null and Baseband Unknown. It was already G920AUCU3BOI2. I flashed it using this firmware => http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s6/general/stock-odin-tar-files-g920aucu3boi2-t3213306 (Which is the same Firmware as the previous I believe.) Odin had no errors, and the phone rebooted. But it couldnt pass the Samsung logo (waited for 20 min, nothing) Factory reseted it with no luck. Flashed only BL and AP with odin - still no luck. How can I solve this PITA problem? Thank u in advance.

i know my real imei. But now imei is null/null after flash a custom rom.. after that i flash modem file. then my imei is 0049....
You lost the real imei after flashing custom rom or modem?
Usually, a custom does not touch the modem or bootloader partitions as it is dangerous, especially the bootloader.

Any solution plss
Usually, flashing the latest stock rom from sammobile.com via Odin would fix the problem.
You could also Google nvwriter to see if you can find a software solution to inject your imei.

I tried many stock roms. and latest rom from Sammobile and nothing changed..
Usually, just flashing a custom rom would not touch the efs folder. After flashing the latest stock rom, does the bootloader match the modem?
Did you google nvwriter?

sorry, what is the nv writer? it is helpfull my exynos s4?
I don't know if it will help you but here is link to it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804117
I suggest confirming that the bootloader and modem match after flashing a stock rom. If they don't, the rom is not really being flashed.
Thanx for your helping, but i think nv-writer is not helpful for EXYNOS phone.
Then I can only suggest that you try and flash the latest stock ROM again and confirm that the bootloader and modem match. If they do and you still don't have a proper imei, you may have to contact a cell repair shop to see if they can restore the imei and ROM via jtag.

SM-G920W8 Help!

Hey guys, Im in need of some expert help.. So basically I let a friend root my phone and install twrp, and all went well until he flashed Xposed. He wasn't aware that I had installed the marshmallow update. After he flashed xposed the phone wouldn't boot so he tried to flash the stock 6.0.1 ROM back from Sam mobile with no luck. Apparently it gets stuck in Odin when trying to flash the CM.bin and the sboot.bin files. I was able to flash the system and modem files on to get it to boot. when checking the phone im not seeing any IMEI as it says Unknown. Ive tried just the modem file and nadda.. any help would be appreciated. Also My phone detects now as a SM-G920F and not as it should SM-G920W8 Canadian version.
Update. Ive installed the Xtresto Lite through TWRP and it installed fine except it still detects the phone now as a SM-G920F and ive still got no modem working.

Did you flash 920f modem?. Flash back to stock with odin or smart switch. Odin is a bit fussy though. Best us smart swith. It will do everything. You just have to enter model number and s.n. of the phone.
