Note 10 Lite Screen Resolution - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite Questions & Answers

Can anyone please help me on how to reduce the screen solution on Note 10 Lite? I can't find the options in Display setting or any other places anymore. Or any other 3rd party app can do it?

Note 10 lite have only 1 resolution ! You can play with font size and zoom size only !
Perhap's 3rd party app can do that, but don't sure

Been around for few days now and still not figure out any solution for this Tks anyway, bro!

You can change dpi (app exists, but required root in my memory), but by past, samsung UI is not very compatible, and you could see strange things in design !

Well if you mean screen density, you can set that under developer options.

Change DPI for apps/contents/text

Hi there
I managed to change the dpi to 440 in build.prop and it looks lood for the icon size but the contents like Chrome, etc still showing the default size. I compare it with my old S3 and I would prefer a smaller size. ANy idea?

Hello there. Unfortunately I don't know of any app that can do what you are asking about. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. Lol
Anyways that function is a common feature on paranoid android. Not sure if they implemented it yet. Wouldn't hurt to go over to their thread and check it out for yourself

so there is no way to makes the text size inside the apps looks smaller/match with the resolution size? changing the dpi only reflects the homescreen icon, etc but not the content inside the apps

Omg I misunderstood your problem. Yes there's ways to do that. For system text reduction there's an option in display and lights under settings that can do that. I also believe nova launcher is capable of doing that too.

not really my point. eg. when i go into chrome and view the same page with my S3, they both showing the same text size eventhough the N5 is fullhd and S3 is 720p. can i make it to show more contents compare to S3?
Have you tried xposed per app DPI? You will have to be on dalvik since it's not compatible with art.

No as I would like to get OTA on the spot instead of waiting for it.
Just uninstall xposed when ota shows up

Always în 4k setup and screenshot

wm size 2160x3840
wm density 640
All it s fine .i dont have any issue !
Is this real 4k now that we have marshmellow? I remember somebody saying it wasn't true 4k just by changing the density.
Also how is the 4k support with apps? Vr? And moonlight game streaming in 4k? kinda been waiting for this ever since the 4k display was announced but I can't test it until later this week.
Also I'd suggest hiding away that status and navigation bar and using an app called "simple control" .. Thers a simple command on adb to hide them. it really helps free your screen lol
tried it, having serious problems with swiftkey! It seems to be super-zoomed, only 3 buttons visible. Tried deleting it's cache.
Any suggestion?
You will have issues changing the DPI and the WM size... also the resolution is locked in the kernel, what you're doing is emulating 4K resolution....
Battery life will suffer and the device will get warm under normal load.... stick with 1080p and 320dpi , much better in my opinion
thank you, that makes sense!
Tried 320dpi right now, swiftkey still makes probs...
Interesting observation about this with DPI of 640 - the stock launcher now allows you to enable auto-rotate in the options menu. It doesn't allow you when running stock DPI or stock resolution. This leads me to assume this is the same launcher software as is running on the Xperia tablets too.

I go for 280dpi myself. May I ask why you go with 320dpi?

I go for 320 dpi because I get extra space for icons 7 vs 5 vertically and I get much bigger visual space ( chrome / whatsapp ) etc.
Anything below that gives me trouble. And if you want to change your dpi you better do it in 120 steps or 180 steps ( 0 - 160- 320 -480 etc.. ) as apps seem to offer the best compatibility ( Android rule )

Ah ok, thanks, but 280 hasn't given me any compatibility problems with any apps (so far).
I agree with the 1080 and 320dpi. Device runs much smoother and doesn't get anywhere near as hot but still gives me the screen real-estate I was after.
Thanks

So what then is the default DPI? As I have not altered anything and now certain Xposed modules do not work on MM, so I am left with a dodgy layout that does not give me a great deal of space and I prefer the stock launcher.
I agree with 320,but one major problem is the incoming call screen is distorted. Try locking the device and recieve an incoming call.
I have tried all dpi and all resolutions like 2k and 4k. Nothing works expect stock 1080p and 480dpi

how about instagram. anyone having issue?
How about unlocking the bootloader and changing DPI on build.prop. Does it fix all the glitches? 320 seems to be small. I prefer 400

What about battery life? How much SOT? And smoothness?
I've been using 380 DPI @ 1080, no issues with anything that I notice.
Changed to 4K, had problems with clock showing in bar at top of screen with
wm 800
and
wm 640
Hey there. How did you manage to have 6 apps in home bar? Thanks.

I also noticed that.
But they seems to be an anti-aliased version of a full HD resolution.
I took a detail of a Chrome website screenshot in 4K and downscaled it to 1080 and here's the result:

Adjust Screen Size EMUI 5.0

Hey guys,
I just got my Honor 8 today, and I came from a Nexus 5X. I love that phone, its so awesome. But theres one thing that's missing or maybe I just can't find it.
That's why I need your help.
When I use apps like Whatsapp or Instagram and a few other apps, it looks really big and zoomed in, especially compared to the Nexus, and it has the same screen size.
I've seen the option to change the Font and I changed it to the smallest, now its better but not perfect.
But I've also seen that there was an option in EMUI 4 to change that in the Display Settings (mobi-test.de/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Huawei-Mate-8-Screenshots-37-1-169x300.jpg)
Is there any option to make it smaller or "zoom out"
Thank you
Jason
you can try changing the dpi via root/xposed
To change dpi in nougat just go into developer mode and you can set from there.
By default is 360.

So Emui 5/5.1 does not have the Display size feature from Android Nougat? http://www.theandroidsoul.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Android-Nougat-display-size-Small-1.png

It doesn't need it, Nougat has built-in on-the-fly DPI scaling.
I run mine at 460 dpi.
I changed it via ADB without root. Just type in: "adb shell" and then "wm density <number>". The ppi of the device is default.
This will work for every device which doesn't has this option in settings (f.e. older Android versions, too)

Screen Mod for Newbies

Hi to all.
Happy with my Fold 2. Would be extremely happy if I could make one mod without root:
If apps (and UI if possible) would behave as if though there was no punch hole!
I'm not talking about the setting to change the aspect ratio of an app.
Some apps don't work properly even if you do that.
Any way to just make the phone work like it had no camera at all at the front (of the big screen)?
Please keep in mind that a)I'm not a programmer , just a user
and b)I don't want to root my device.
Thanks in advance

This is what you want, very easy to enable. The video shows the Note 20 Ultra but it also goes for the Z Fold 2.
Settings/Display/Full screen apps/advanced settings (tap upper right 3 dot icon)/Enable camera cutout.
Thanks but nope.

Thanks for your reply my friend but that's exactly what I want to avoid in the first place.
I want all apps and ui to use Full Screen without a black bar.
In other words all apps to use all the screen real estate like there is no camera there. Most games and apps do that but not all and browser also leaves that part blank when in landscape mode.
I know it can be done but I don't know how
Thanks for your reply though.

I heard there is a way to do it by connecting the phone to a pc and typing an ADB command (if I'm saying it correctly) but I havent located the article or the way. All I know is that it can be done, but apparently there is no simple way. Maybe a more experienced member can enlighten us.
You can download multistar together with tasker and autotools. Should give you the desired result without the needs of root.

App drawer colour

Sorry if this has been addressed before, I am new to this device and have had a quick search and can't find anything.
I would like to have a black background for my app drawer.....how do I do this please?
My wife has a black background on her Oppo find X2 neo and I set it up for her

Thanks. I was aware of that but, I just require black app drawer background to go with my black wallpaper, not system wide.
This has been possible on most of my recent devices and also on my wife's X2 Neo
Well I don't think it's possible to change the app drawer's background independently from the overall dark mode. But just to make sure I'd suggest you check back to your wife's Neo to see where the option is on that one and see if that works on the X2 Pro the same way. The OS should be pretty much the same anyway I guess. If there is no such option on the Pro then I guess there is no way to do this. IIRC I have seen other people ask about the same thing but to no avail...

There doesn't appear to be on. Think it's 'themed' with the wallpaper.
