Hello fellow quarantine OnePlus owners,
I have a weird problem. Not able to figure out what it is. The phone would randomly just beep 3-4 times. When I pick up the phone, there is no notification or any popup message. Happens multiple times a day mostly every 1-2 hours, sometimes after 3-4 hours, its irregular.
If the phone is in silent mode, there is no beep then, of course.
Anything that I can do to make this annoying sound go away.
Thank you
Very simple. Found the cause and solution
The peeping is caused by the NFC if it is on and the phone comes close to a card like credit card or any NFC card you may have bear the phone or in the cover.
You can just turn off the NFC from the settings or the sweep down from the top.
Of you still want the NFC on then make sure you do not keep any credit card in the phone case or near it.

OK I searched for this everywhere but found no solid answers so I raised the suggestion at the Microsoft Connect's Mobile Site.
https://connect.microsoft.com/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=318343&SiteID=502&wa=wsignin1.0
(you may have to sign it using ur hotmail or live id but it's worth it).
To recap what I have posted there:
This is the question/problem most of the users who owns WM device has and I am saying so after doing an extensive research and posting forum questions. Anyways the problem is very simple to explain.
Windows Mobile has an extremely limited set of options for snoozing a reminder: 5 min, 15 min, 1 hr, 1 day, or 5 min before and that is often USELESS!!
Let me give an example: say I have an important dinner meeting Thursday at 6pm. I want a reminder to off a day in advance to remind me to do any prep, make reservations, etc. So, Wed 6 pm the reminder fires off. Now, I don't want to just dismiss it, b/c heck, I might forget over the next 24 hours. What I want to do is be able to snooze the reminder for a specific amount of time -- say 12 hours in this case, so I get reminded the next morning. Or, I might want my next reminder to come 3 hours before the dinner. But with Windows Mobile 5, I can do neither!!! Arrrrggggh. I either have to keep snoozing it for 1 hour at a time (lame), or snooze it till 5 minutes before the dinner (useless).
Here are the options I'd like to see: snooze 5/15/30 min, 1/2/3/4/6/8/12/18 hr, 1/2/3 day, 1/2 week; snooze till 5/15/30 min before, 1/2/3/4/6/8 hours before, 1/2/3 day before.
If not all above then atleast existing ones + 1/2/3/4/6/8/12/18 hr. I know WM has many restrictions due to screen resolutions and thus less options but they can be a part of a sub menu.
To keep the menu clean, you could have the most common choices on the main "snooze" menu, and then the others on a submenu. Of course the choices would be sensitive to the time of the reminder vs the current time, i.e if the dinner is only 24 hours away, then you wouldn't see the 1/2/3 day or 1/2 week options -- not a hard thing to program.
Hope this all makes sense, please let me know if any more information is required. I have used WM 2003 SE device and that had better snoozing options than WM 5, 6 (I use HTC Touch now).

I would really appreciate it if we all can confirm that this problem really exist and give more push to then it will have a better chance to get to some resolution than using third party solutions.
Not pushing it but seems like no one is interested so may I ask if there is an alternative solution?
I, for one, am very interested. This is the only major gripe I have about the calendar application within WM - probably the most annoying day-to-day shortcoming of the OS. I would love a fix.
I second this. I want a 30 minute sonooze! It is also one of my biggest gripes that we cant define our own snooze times without a 3rd party application.

Generally happy with the snooze options. A 30min would be a useful addition though.
I agree. I think 30min snooze is a must
Want More Snooze Options
One should be able to set most any snooze for each item as necessary. AT the very minimum there should be a 30 mintue snooze in the pulldown. A 10 minutes snooze should also be available. All the options mentioned by the original poster would be great
what u need is SPB Time, there is a snooze for 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, and 60 minutes!
I have been griping about this since 2002
Yes!!!!! Give us an applet with check boxes and give us a full-screen-height menu for our choices. Doesn't seem like rocket science to me.
I dunno, I guess I don't think any menu should be static. Our chairs fit us, for criminy. James Kendrick at JKOnTheRun has the idea, but maybe adding a good dollop of manual settings to override his, uh, concept, might be the way to go.
The days of "sorry, this is all we've got to offer. We can't do it your way." for PIMs is pretty much done. This really is one last creepy little annoyance we can't get rid of. It feels like Windows 3.0.
Again, if they want their gadgets to sell, at least they could let us hack!
BTW, Spb Time doesn't snooze PIM reminders. There are hundreds of apps that snooze, but only internally. MortPlayer I think is my fav lately.
SPB is not an option for me

I think SPB may work out for some, but I sync with my Outlook events. I do not want to have to enter my reminders in on my PC and my mobile device.
Also, I am perplexed by the users that are looking for more options between 15 min and 1 hour. This seems trivial to the real problem which is the gap between 1 hour and 1 day. If you need 30 mins, set for 15 and you have ONE extra event. Yeah, it is not clean, BUT those of us who need 8 or 12 hours would have to do 1 extra reminder per hour until our goal was reached.
why cant they make it so it says something like this..
Snooze 5 mins blah blah etc..
Set: 00:00
^^where you input the period of time like 01:00 for an hour 12:00 for 12.. 13:30 for 13 hours 30 mins, etc...
Any Solution

Which 3rd party application??
I have given up looking for any answer from Microsoft and spend my time looking for a third party solution - WITHOUT success.
I have just tried Pocket Informant again because someone somewhere suggested this offered a customizable snooze - but I cannot get it to do it, although it does make a nice calendar.
As mentioned above it is snooze for outlook calendar appointments that I want to snooze somewhere between 1 hour and 1 day. I cannot believe that they have changed this in 6.1 (added 5 mins before) and still not given us the functionality we had with ppc2003!
Please someone tell me a 3rd party application to sort this.
I second your frustration. It's very crap to have nothing between 1 hour and 1 day. I am often snoozing reminders for hours, which is hell annoying.
The other day I was searching about it and found, in a topic i can't find anymore, a guy complaing that the ROM he flashed showed '15 MIN.' snooze time twice.
Another guy aswered him saying that this was a mistake made by the chef.
From that information, I assume someone CAN change the snooze times shown in that dialog box (not sure about extending it).
It would be very helpful if we could at least chance the values already there. Anyone knows if it's really possible.
For me, the snooze time I miss de most is 4 hours. That is very helpful for me because most of my alarms sound at the beggining of work hours, and if I could just snooze then to 4 hours ahead (problaby lauch hour or post work) it would be awsome.
Snoozing 10, 15 appointmants and taks every single hours is really getting on my nerves.
I thing that for everyone happy, snooze times of 30 min 4h 8h and 12h should be fine
another four voices
for me, and three my friends, this is major problem. thanx for any advise or help
No one? I think nobody knows about this
I put a quick note on the day say 10. It shows the message and time on the lock screen from day 9 onwards. Is there an option or something I can set that it displays the message in the lock screen on the same day only or just before 5 or 10 hours from the starting of the appointment??
Short of putting another event 5 hours earlier, I don't know of a way. Is there a particular ue case where this behavior is a problem?
Not really, just that each day I can see for today only and if want to see for tomorrow, can see in the calendar.

So I've been running the O2 OS for several days. Last night I installed GService fix from PS and I started the phone up with 100% battery, about midnight, and I woke up about 5. From 5 - 9/10, about 20-30 minutes data using Google Maps while driving, a few phone calls, checking PS, a little internet. To me the ROM is very light, quick and smooth. I enjoy it much more than the KK stock. It's easy to 'roll your own' and add what you need, as well. It's very easy to flash, particularly clean.
Here are the battery captures from about 6:00 this evening, so about 18 hours after starting the GS fix. As I understand GService, when you reboot, it disables GService and must be restarted. So I will run without GService tomorrow for a while. I have disabled Google Play Services in apps. I have only seen Google Play Services notification pop up a few times in the day, but it does not interfere with getting on PS. Interesting. Maybe I don't understand what it really does. Location was on most of the day, starting about 8 and ending at 6 (now) and Wifi about half the day.
So the phone has been on GService disable since midnight, about 18 hours.
The stats from midnight to 6:00 pm (18 hours)
Brightness on full.
Android OS - keep awake 6 min 14 sec
Google Services - keep awake 9 min 23 sec
Android Services - keep awake 4 min 47 sec
I'll post up some off GService Disable later this week.

Let's talk about bug's on the stock MIUI 12 Rom for the Poco F2 Pro (not xiaomi.eu).
First of all app permissions are useless. I block apps like Gearbest to not run in backgroud = I get ads from Gearbest app every day in notification center. I put VPN on autostart, run in background, keep the connection in VPN settings and disable MIUI battery safer for that VPN app = it kills the app sometimes over the day and at night it kills the app instantly after I lock the screen, every time.
WiFi 6 is broken as well. Calls over VoWiFi are broken and sometimes the speed drops down for no reason. WiFi 4 n works perfectly.
Sometimes no icon in status bar, like VPN icon when it's connected, VoLTE I never saw (but it works) and even Google calander is shown the icon in status bar but nothing in notification center (2 times for now).
Haven't noticed any issues myself.
You use VPN and got WiFi6?
Device is awake all the time.
Same, causing overnight battery drain
I lose 1% per 1h at night.
Lose 3% in 8.5 hours (overnight); 0.35% per hour.
Battery stats doesn't work properly
- Dark mode is awful in apps like messenger, messages were white with white text or animations of someone typing were not fully transparent but just white I had to enable dark mode inside app and add app to ignore list for system one.
- Always on Display. I dont understand how schedule works, I set it to 7am-11pm but AOD shows up all the time.

Stand by is fine, drops a maximum of 2-3% for me. But once we start using, miui 12 have terrible battery optimization
for me seems like i get more battery drain, but havent checked yet, but comming from a day of downloading apps back on miui 11 and later update to miui 12 seems like my battery toke a hit..
I was thinking about making a separate "rant" thread about MIUI 12 on the F2 Pro, but since you're all here I might as well share my frustration.
Coming from years of both Samsung One UI and Stock android, I have one big and two small issues with MIUI 12.
Every other android vendor on the planet (probably) has 4 sound modes: Ring, Vibrate and Silent and DND. You would think that there is no need to change that, but Xiaomi apparently had a different opinion.
- Okay, ring works as expected, but the only time my phone is on Ring is when it's in the setup and I can't change it to Vibrate.
- There is no actual Vibrate, there is this Silent thing, which sets the Ring volume to 0 (so.. vibrate) and offers to mute all media sounds...
- Then there is DND which mutes all notifications, doesn't offer to mute media sounds (like Samsung does), restricts visual popups for notification but doesn't stop the screen from lighting up when you get a notification and the phone is locked like WHAT?! I'm out here trying to sleep and this huge 6.7" screen is lighting up like it's a flashlight?
EDIT: they fixed it ?
Speaking of flashlight, and I know this isn't a grand issue, if you're using the new Control Center, you can rearrange the quick tiles at the bottom, but not the 4 at the top. Why? I would love to be able to switch the Mobile Data and WiFi but no.
I love this phone and it's battery. Easily lasts 2 days. But whose idea was it that the battery stats will show only the last 24 hours instead of since last full charge, like everyone else? ?*
12.0.2.0 fix almost nothing.

Pretty much this. Checking using AccuBattery, the device only entered deep sleep for 5 min for the whole day. Thinking rooting the phone to force device enter doze.
12.0.2.0 and I can forget about audio over bluetooth... this is so disgusting, never seen such a bugged phone.
I'm using the POCO F2 Pro Global Version with the MIUI 12 and I have this issue with Twitter.
Push Notifications are enabled in the app, and when I received the number 9 Notification, the new coming Notification will erased the last one.
It limits to 9 Notifications only.
Any solution please?

That's odd I don't have issues with Bluetooth audio on qc35 and wf-1000xm3 and envaya mini haven't noticed any issues.
There are other bugs like video tools styles being blank etc crushed colours on lockscren probably others but I haven't noticed any Bluetooth issues
The update I presume was mainly a security update.

I had no problems, now I can forget to listen music over bluetooth. I try to connect the same TWS with my Mate 20X and no issues, connect again with Poco F2 Pro and same problems. Also reboot the device and pair it again.
Security update is about 80MB, not 400MB. They change also the VoWiFi logo but VoLTE still not fixed (don't show the icon).

What issues are you having with connecting or pairing or looking for headsets or dropped connections when streaming?
Also I've said it's mainly a security update given they've jumped a bit from the initial preparations of miui 12 also some apps got updated along the way.
Can't check VoLTE as my operator doesn't support it.

Hello my dear old friends.
It's been a while since i don't write on XDA but i have a problem that i can't solve.
I have a Zenfone 6 since 2 years, i have been allways super happy with this phone: good camera, good perfromance, good battery and, best of all, 7:30 hours of Screen on time with 2 days of use per single charge...
Since the last update to android 11 my screen on time dropped badly ...i can barely reach 6 hours... tipical resoult is 5:30 hours...
This means i have "magically" lost 2 hours of screen on time...
Searching the web i have found some advice that i tried:
-disable facebook services
-disalbe some functions...
- factory reset
- back to android 10
- back again to android 11
- another factory reset...
none of theese have worked so far...
Can you please help me?
What am i missing?
What am i doing wrong?
Basically i can't use the phone as i was doing before...
I post a screnshot of the battery screen
please help...
Turn off Wifi, Location, Bluetooth,NFC scanning.
Turn off "Knock twice to retract camera"
Use Greenify to kill unused apps.
