Hi,
So, I have been getting really bad battery life for many years now...
Since I got my first OP phone the OP6 I have had this issue.
So first I thought my op6 was faulty, so lately I got myself an op7 pro. But still, on that phone also battery issues.
After that I traded my op7 pro for an s10+, but later I wanted to get back to oneplus so I traded it again for another oneplus 7 pro.
And here I am still with bad battery life.. And with bad battery life I mean like days with 3 hours SOT and like 20% left. To days with 4 hours and like 20%.
But nothing better than that, ofcourse I tried things myself, so I went to oneplus discord server and asked there. Many people tried to help me. We tried custom roms, custom kernels, battery apps like greenify or doze apps. But nothing works, what we did notice tho, that google play services is on the top almost all times. So I tried a day with only whatsapp, but still google play services drain.
If anyone know tips to extend battery life, or setups like XXX Rom or magisk module with XXX kernel. Let me know, anything is possible.
Kind regards,
Crewz
Hey man, I had similar problems with most of my devices, I traded s10+ for op7pro because of that same battery problem. Now it is not as great as other people experience, since I have read that lots of guys go over 9h sot with similar usage as mine... But I am around 6:30 -7:30 sot per 36-48h usage.(on qhd and 90hz)
Since you have tried most of the stuff... I have copluple of suggestions, it looks that problem may be with your network(frequency)/sim or baseband, had on exynos such problem... I would do like whole wipe wit msm tool end downgrade to Android 9, stay day or two and check your battery( you can always upgrade) then try to change an operator if you have other sim, once I had to buy new sim car, because mine was obsolete... See if there are differences without sim card, change sim slot...
One of the last recourses is trying to see if you can install other, change modem/baseband.. I have no idea for op7 pro... Also region settings may have an impact... Eu or non eu rom and so...
One thing that made noticable difference for me is I red somewhere that Hyperion launcher is better for battery and it is... I got better idle with it... Try it.. and best luck

Hey,
So first of all, thank you for the reply and sorry for the late reaction.
I have done a full wipe with MSM before, but I never did go back to Android 9. I need to say tho that I have had bad battery life on that aswell.
It is maybe a good idea to use without sim, but I really need my sim for calls etc. The range is from 4 to 5 bars, so that should be fine I guess.
I am not experienced at all with changing modem / baseband. If anyone here on XDA can help me with that and explain what it actually does, I would appreciate that.
I will give hyperion launcher a go, thanks!
Solution is very simple, do not use warp charge without necessarily exlusions. Use simple charger 2.4 Amper
Just an idea. If this is happening with multiple phones, it might be the quality of signal you're getting from the towers around you. The harder your phone has to work to find signal, the more the battery is going to drain.

Hello. Why you think so? Quick charging just supplies the charging mechanism for the battery with more power, it doesn't change the way the battery itself works or how the power is stored in the cells. It also doesn't change the way the power discharges from the battery.

doesnt make a difference, you can use warp charge without problems. He just gets the bad battery life from his apps, which are syncing all time in the background.

There's a Magisk Module called universal GMS doze. It might help you out with different wakelocks. Also download fk kernel manager he got a couple apps in his battery info area that controls services an wakelocks and also it'll tell idle drain stats. Also in dev options there's a mobile data always on you can unclick that if still nothing helps I'd try turning your mobile data off an see if that's what's draining you

Hi everyone , I'm new in the community but I already found that this is one of the best phone forums online , normally you come here for help because you have a problem right ? But today I'm just here to give an advice, I notice that many people complain about the battery life on their new phones , I had the same issue with my note 5 , I saw a video on YouTube and the phone showed an estimation of battery usage of 18hours while mine only showed 9 , I immediately thought that my phone was broken or something until a month later I realized that I was getting more than 20 hours of battery usage , when we use a phone for the first 3-5 days ( specially android) we can't expect it to be fully optimized because it's still learning your behavior and phone usage, just by installing a new app your making your phone to "learn to do something new" when I got my s7 edge I didn't expected to have great battery life , I was constantly installing and removing apps , flashing Roms and trying themes and etc. Now after a month later I use my phone on a pretty standard routine , I used package disabled but it only made my phone laggy and slower , so I decided to use my phone on the stock way , I running all stock , ( only disabled the apps that come with the phone that I don't use like power point , Samsung gear and health...) and after I did this I noticed a huge bump on battery life , I went from 12 hour of usage and 4:30-5hours of SOT to 30hours of usage and 8hours of SOT
After installing a custom/stock rom make sure to drain the battery completely just once to calibrate it !
I can never get more than 6 hrs sot.. Gonna follow your tips and write back in a week or so. Thanks for sharing!

Feel free to use package disabler, it was a lifesaver to me with my note 5 but not on the s7 , but other users report that has been really helpful other thing you could try even that the impact will be minimal is using a dark theme ,
Also don't update to the newer firmware if on Exynos. Seems to hit battery life by 25% or more as android system goes from around 5% to 15-20% battery usage.

with newer firmware you mean the may update?
with me it was the other thing around, in the beginning it was quite good but now, its worse. is it because of the bright sunlight or the phone getting hot because it was around 30 degrees almost?
you see...screen on time about 2 hours
most active battery drainer, android itself
Only way for me to get 4 hrs of sot i have to plug in to charge and disconnect before i get to 90 cause then it seems to thing its fully charged and battery meter resets (on battery).

The thing is, I have disabled half of the system already, but it just feels like it's doing even worse than before so I'm leaning back on running stock again.
Yes original firmware much better battery than the update

It didn't work either to me , this is what I think , it may sound stupid but it could be the true cause , I think when you use an app like package disabler to disable things on your phone and then you accidentally touch to open the app or setting disabled the phone will think "what's going on here" why is this disabled? And it maybe tries to access/ open the package again and again causing it to actually drain battery !, You could a cache wipe , it worked for me , I follow all guides to extend battery life using package disabler, custom rom , flashing zips to delete bloatware but none of them worked for me , instead I went all stock ,and after installing the stock rom I did a factory reset and them the cache wipe, it worked flawless to me , the phone now works like a charm , no overheating (maybe I don't feel it because I got a case ) but the point is try to find your own solution , every s7 edge it's unic, maybe a simple reebok on your phone could resolve all of your problems , and a very important thing !!!!! If you flash a rom /kernel make sure you let your battery drain completely just once to calibrate it!
I wiped nothing, stock rom latest APD1 , aod off now but on sometimes , location on, sync on 3 emails, disabled a few things with ez package disabler. Browsed the net for all the time the screen was on, WiFi on while screen of and on for atleast 2 hrs while using line messenger and used Spotify for around 30 to 40 mins. This is sot and battery usage.
I don't know how u manage to get such bad battery life, swear u guys r fu#*ING about with sh%t too much, let it settle.

Great battery life , you can easily achieve 3 days of battery life and 8-9 hours of SOT I guess which is great for you , just consider yourself in the 5% of people that own a phone with no battery issues , I'm happy with my 8hours of SOT and I could achieve 3days like you just by using WiFi, I use LTE because it's faster were I live but remember that there are people so disappointed with their phones because they want to get the most out of their phones and just can't, may I ask if you are amazed with your battery life or do you own other device that beats the s7 on battery ?
I am amazed, it's as good as, if not better than my previous phone the z3, which was running a custom rom and kernel.
I do consider myself lucky to have the phone run so well right out the box.
Also when I said alot r fu#&ng around with their device, I meant roughly the same as you, I didn't mean to imply their problems r not actually there. I meant as u had said, changing roms, removing apps for new, disabling apps, not letting anything settle, wont give good results in battery life.

Holy smoke, 5+ hrs sot in half of battery. I've been trying to get more than 6 hrs for like a month now with different roms and optimizations, not even close..
I hate to be the voice of cynicism, but we do need to stop this stuff somewhere. The original post is utter nonsense. The suggestion that phones 'learn' your behaviour just simply isn’t how kernels work. There's a very small degree of 'learning' but power management is a very reactive process based on exactly what's happening. The only thing new apps change is what processes are running, and the kernel will instantly scale to do what it 'thinks' is right. Some managers will observe processes for a bit longer and react based on that - but we're talking hours at most, NOT days.
The only credit I'd give to this idea (which seems to be all over XDA for some reason) is that the first few days people use their new shiny phone a lot more than usual, and probably also more than they’d think. They also become far more aware of battery life and will even turn on the screen just to check battery life, which will obviously accumulate batery drain - so the bit about using your phone more is certainly true. But anything about Android being some sort of AI Neural Network app learning extraveganza that learns what you do over several days is (for the most (significant) part) wrong.
Think this is just descending into another battery thread and we have one here already

Hi guys, wondering if anyone can help
I bought a new unlocked T-Mobile LG G5 from ebay last week for my wife, after buying it I didn't realize that the unlock code is a software unlock, not a SIM unlock, and that I am not able to flash to the stock LG firmware if I want to keep the unlock on hand.
I was looking at flashing to stock because the battery life is quite poor for a new phone, much worse than my S7 Edge, even though she doesnt do anything crazy on it. Are there any tips or tricks to improve the battery life, its using H83020i_un software with what appears to be the regular/default T-Mobile stock apps...
Any help would be appreciated, either regarding the battery, the unlock, or both. Also, will I get any OTA updates, and if I do will it re-lock the phone? Im in Canada btw
Thanks
There is a thread covering all the ins and outs of the 20i_un custom SIM unlock ROM. Everything about locking and updates is thoroughly discussed 1 thread up from this one.
About battery life, that ROM shouldn't be impacting battery life. You should get 4 hours of screen on time (roughly) per charge. If that's not enough to get you through the day, then this isn't the phone for you.
If you aren't getting 4 hours of screen on time, something is wrong. It's not the ROM because the ROM is PROBABLY the stock ROM with 1 small modification for SIM unlock.
Things like Facebook are NOTORIOUS battery drainers so if you run a lot of apps like that, they could be hurting you. Have you looked at your battery stats? Do any apps jump out as taking up a lot of battery? Is it the Android system that's using the battery?
Android's battery stats chart will tell you a lot about what it using your battery. We'd need to know what it is before we could suggest fixes.
Also...be sure to leave the seller negative feedback on eBay. This phone was misrepresented on eBay, even after they were aware if was not factory sealed and had been modified. They lied about how many they had too, saying they were nearly out of stock at least a thousand units ago. That's deceptive advertising. They lied to multiple people about putting that second clear seal over the broken factory seal. And they contacted at least me outside of the eBay message system which is a blatant violation of the eBay terms of service. Even if you keep it, the seller deserves negative feedback.

Yeah I did notice that about the seal when I opened mine.
I noticed the battery drains alot while idling, not sure what could cause that though...
Well...look at the battery stats charge in the settings. It will tell you what's using the battery.
Are you using the Always On Display? If so that's your answer. That chews up battery like crazy at around 0.8% per hour. Conversely I get 0.1% to 0.2% drain per hour on idle with the Always On Display turned off.
I'm also a fan of Greenify for putting the phone into Doze mode after minutes rather than an hour or two like Android does natively. I'm not a huge fan of Greenify as a task killer as that's counterproductive in most cases. Though I do let it kill an annoying persistent Major League Baseball app that I like but that doesn't know when to shut up.

Always on display is off, using greenify, helped a bit, but I notice that most of the battery usage % is "Phone Idleing"
Agree, in the past month or so, my LG G5 battery life has become noticeably worse. The top two battery burners are Android OS and Phone Idle. I've tried multiple hard resets, clearing cache, etc, but nothing seems to help. I haven't shut off the always on display, but it wasn't shut down before. Something has changed recently, maybe in the last update, but the battery life is terrible now. Any help would be appreciated.

Were you ever able to solve the battery problem?
There are a couple of comments on the previous page that Phone Idle is a large consumer. That happens when you pick the wrong carrier, and the signal is weak most of the places you spend time. When that happens, it's assumed that the phone's signal will be weak at the tower, so the phone transmits at maximum power - and that kills a battery fast. Choose a carrier that has solid green in the battery stats (tap the graph to get to that page, then scroll down). That's the first thing you should do when choosing a carrier - not that they're the only ones carrying this great new phone so far, but that they give you a solid signal where you spend most of your time. And it's exactly what most people don't do (because they're not aware of it). (And the phone matters too - some just have more sensitive receivers than others.)
Hey guys! Been getting around 4h SOT as highest on my device, AOD turned off, 30-50 % brightness, fhd+ and dark theme.
Can get through the day but can't get a minute more than 4h sot which seems weird.
It's not that I think the battery life is absolute ****, I'm okay with it, the thing that sort of "bothers" me is that i see people getting like 6-10h SOT on like 2 days of charge which seems unbelievable to me.
Now on to the question,
is my utterly **** 4g signal preventing me from reaching 6-7 h SOT or is it just that I'm "unlucky" with the battery lottery.
Is it fair to expect a 6-7h SOT if i do decide to root and flash something like a notorious kernel and a rom?
Which I know will permanently void my warranty.
Or should I return the device and swap it out for either another s8+ or something like a g6?
I hope I don't seem too much of a brat ****face but I did lay out tons of cash for this phone, which other than the battery I am incredibly impressed by.
Thank you guys for keeping this forum running, it's been a lifesaver!

Most of these 6-10 hours of sot is nonsense as most of these people don't even use the phone properly only leaving the screen on so that sot would increase rather than using it properly like watching YouTube having a decent brightness etc... Just use your phone as much as you like stop thinking about battery life if it's really a problem get a powerbank. Me my self if I'm at work I use a lot of GPS as I need to travel and I have my screen turned of as I listen to Google maps rather look this will put me at around 3 to 4 hours of SOT or more sometimes depending how much I use the screen. But when I'm at home I use the phone non stop and I get around 5 -7 I always use full brightest all the time full res gaming sometimes youtube etc as you can see the people who get 6 to 10 they don't even use the phone that much so is there a point for them to have this phone if they don't use it to full potential no they might as well get a cheap phone.
Edit:
The only reason I would suggest rooting is if you want to play around with the phone like having a different kernel that allows to change voltage, speed etc

This, i can get 20hr sot on my mate 9 if i leave it with screen on, take in account SOT means NOTHING, it just one measure that can be easily manipulated.
I use my phone the way i use and i only judge by the end of the day, how much perfect left and what took the most of my battery life, without caring about SOT at all.
Just now i was traveling to Budapest and made ton of photos and videos with my DSLR and the Mate 9, on sunny days your brightness will be up, shooting 4K videos and taking pictures, using GPS google maps, will make your SOT low, does that mean your battery life is bad? NOT AT ALL
Stop caring about sot and use GSAM monitoring up to understand if there is a rogue app.
I have the S8+ and I see that they have figured out how to root the Snapdragon version. I am not really pressed to root my phone.
The 1st time I used the phone, which was a weekend and mostly WiFi, I got over 6 hours of screen time. However on my work days where I use mostly LTE service and I'm inside an office building, I may only have 3-4 hours of screen time but I will make it home with almost 50% of battery life.
I'm no longer concerned with screen time. If my phone can get me through a full day, then I'm happy with it.

Firstly,
I fully agree with @Derpling post above .( His last paragraph..)
Also SOT, now days, means nothing to me.!
Many years back, i used to be obsessed
with benchmark, battery usage, performance etc.
I also use to root all my device's.
However, presently i have stop been " obsessed"
and accept what is reasonable/acceptable.
eg. battery usage including SOT.
prefomance and stop rooting.
There is plenty work arounds available.
Presently, what i do
is i have a few good battery
apps... Betterbattery, Wakelock detector,
Gsam, I enabled these apps with ADB, to get them working. No root. (Very straightforward one or two liner commands, that's all.)
If i have a rogue app, and my battery use " suffers" i use these apps to id the app. and sort app out accordingly.
eg clear cache /data or uninstall.
Lastly i read online that presently,
more devs are
using " other alternatives" than root.
eg ADB...
to give you similar end results.
Bottom line... I found that in most cases
rooting a device just
creates other/more issues.!.. to fix.!
Now days, for me to root my device ( if ever again)
i must have a very, very good reason to root.
Good luck

You so right about root, there is a workaround to everything tbh, i use the Mate 9 without root and it's the closest phone in my opinion to perfection, no tweaks needed.
Geekbench SOT all of it are just numbers as it means nothing.

I think this is your problem, not the battery. One of the biggest battery killers on any device is a weak signal as the phone will push more power to the radio to try and find a better one (not exactly what happens, but there or thereabouts). Rotting won't change that.
Have you tried switching to 3G only, does that make a difference? Does it differ when you spend time in an area with a better signal?

The problem with my service signal is just temporary, I've been working for the summer but I'm moving back to the university tonight, there I have full 4g and 3g signal so hopefully this will change, however I have settled down a bit with the phone and I'm pretty happy with the battery now, 4h sot is not bad
yea rooting aint the solution
try gsam, wakelock detector, etc to detect the rogue app
imho you don't need root to improve your battery life, i'm achieving 5hr SOT easily with brightness 50%, AOD on and resolution WQHD+, all you need is to disable some of the preinstalled packages, do a bit of research to find out which ones can be disabled without a risk, then you will be good to go pm me if you need an assistance
I think your battery preformance is most likely to some apps or how you use it, I can say from expariance and experemanting with my S8+ that SOT and battery over all can shift.
I haven't rooted since im using samsung pay and haven't had a real need for root yet. but have tried a couple of diff apps and tests to max my battery but found that non off it really saves battery, quite the opposite.
I have tried substrantium to go all black in the phone (cus we have Amoled) but my battery life got worse
tried nova launcer to get some preformance boost and also black down the theme, but nova still suffers from battey drain issues (had same problem with my HTC10)
have disabled alot of services like bixby etc with BK Plugin. but made no big diff.
So after having the phone since launch and mixing and matching stuff to see if I could squeese a little more life out of an already good phone, I got to conclution that Samsung has done a good job in optimizing the S8+.
The stock launcher is fast and efficent, the built in "cleaning" program works well in shuting down unused apps etc. and running the phone with no extras and not tweking anything special or trying to get the phone as black as possible, I can go about 2 full days with normal use.
If you have the Snapdragon, battery life will decrease, by 20%.
I switched from a Verizon S8 to an unlocked S8+ and imo not having any of the added bloatware makes a difference. On my S8 I could make it through a whole day but my battery would be down under 10%. I know the S8 plus has a bigger battery but I go to bed with 30-40% of battery life.
I run my phone starting at 4:45am with a gym work out and I'm in bed by 11pm. My usage is mostly lte except for when I'm home. My SOT is always 5 hours or more.
Sent from my SM-G955U1 using XDA-Developers Legacy app

Fast battery drain on the Mi5s occurs when the fingerprint reader is active. Disable it by removing any fingerprints registered in the security setup (in other words, don't use your fingerprint reader option) and reboot. You will notice the phone runs much cooler and the battery lasts much much longer. To permanently resolve the issue and regain use of the fingerprint reader, you must root the phone or find some other way of disabling com.qualcomm.qti.biometric.fingerprint.service.
Until about four days ago, I would never consider taking my Mi5s out of the house because it was useless unless I wanted to drag a power bank with me. A comment by someone got me motivated to dig into this issue and I found other people at xiaomi.eu reporting the basics as I've stated above. Yesterday I removed fingerprints, fully charged the phone and today I have 50% battery left and a cool running phone. Normally, it would be less than 20 % after sitting idle overnight. I've asked Xiaomi to consider an app with root permission to fix this. I am not holding my breath.
Im on custom rom everyday i get around 12-15 hours continue backup excessive usage with wifi and gps on. And even vpn is on because im in china so need vpn for google, facebook and youtube.
Look this I havent locked my phone since 2 hours and battery is still 83 %

Im on ViperOS 7.1.2.
Its best with magisk and xposed and even substratum works good.
Daily 13-18hours battery backup.
I have bought my phone two years back on launch Day. So havent changed my battery also.
I wish somebody update ViperOS to latest security patches then it will be more great

I cannot post direct link here, but search "lehehe bm37" on Ali. I use this one. It has the same capacity as original one and temperate sensor is working.
Hi, so I heard that the batter is huge 5200 mah which is fantastic but unfortunately it's not working as it supposes to be, its working kind of like 4000 mah.
I would love to know if there's is any solution to that, for example maybe installing any ROM that fixes these fast battery drain or something like that, and also how much improvement is it?
I have a feeling that the new Mi 10 4800 mah will be much better than the 5200mah in the note 10, so I'm not sure yet which one should I buy. I do want the note 10 cause it has better cameras than the mi 10 and also smaller size, but I'm afraid the batter will be bad.
currently, I'm with MI 9SE
Thanks.
I don't have any battery problems so far. I have note 10 pro with global miui 11.0.13 from the box. Normal usage with 2-3 h with max resolution i Amazon prime video, i got 2.5-3 day without problem. I just removed all unnecessary apps. I come from s8+ and on 2.5y old samsung I still get 1.5day. So battery usage for my is something totally personal and depends on apps you use and yours needs. I need to mention that I'm at work 5 days in week for 9 hours without signal coverage, so my phone's searching signal for 9 hours, Bluetooth, wifi and mobile data always on.

Dont worry about the battery life. It is really great compared to other devices, it just could be a little better considering the actuals size, but that doesnt mean it has bad battery life. I charge my Mi Note 10 around every 2-3 days and didnt really manage to drain it in one day since i got it

You're lucky then. For some of us it barely manages a day on normal use - which is unacceptable given the battery size!
This depends on the way you use your Mi Note 10, for me, one and a half day easy ! I use Netflix, Boom Beach, Top Eleven, Youtube, Instagram, Telegram and Tapatalk, 7 to 9h of SOT.
I use 4G and when i´m at home i use Wi-Fi, so, compare to my "ex" (Mi 8), it kick is ***s LOLOL
Generally I have around 7 hours of SOT and I charge my phone every 3 days. The main battery issue I have is due to Whatsapp and has nothing to do with my Note 10.
The thing that helped me for a longer battery life was to disable fingerprint unlock. I get 10h SOT and 48h between charging.
My battery lasts 2 - 3 days on normal usage.
Wifi, 4g, fingerprint active.
I uninstalled almost all xiaomi apps except Themes, Cleaner and Xiaomi Store.
Hope an update will improve battery stats even more.
There is really no battery issue here. I am sure the battery life can be further optimized through an update, but it is overall very good.
I'm not a heavy user but I need to charge 3ach night I get about 30% left by bed time. My Mi A3 lasted about the same.

EU stock rom minus the xiaomi standard apps.
I'm mostly using the phone for maps, camera, browsing and light gaming (less than a hour of gaming). Neither of these should cause the battery drain I'm seeing.
Just today sith about 2h screen on time and taking around 60 pictures (rest spend browsing) I lost about 40% charge. That doesn't look normal?
Maybe it's a problem specific to the eu rom?
I think you can buy the phone. If you get the battery drain, then just reinstall MIUI. That should work. I am getting my bootloader unlocked tomorrow and then i will see if the battery issue will go away when I install MIUI.EU :fingers-crossed:
I have Mi Note 10 and I charge the battery everyday.
In 16 hours of use:
5 h of SoT,
1 h of vocal calls
2 wearable connected
1 h music with BT headset.
At the end of the day i have 40-35% left of battery. I can't beleve someone could have 3 days battery life.
Fingerprint unlock drain battery
If you unlock it and install a custom rom like xiaomi.eu,miglobe which have almost no bloatwear and use something like nap time or kernel audiator you have much better baterry life than stock.usually i have about 10 hours sot or better with kernel fixes.i had 13 hours when i decreased the cpu clock by 25%.but is not good setting for gaming.

can you give more details about this? what is this MIUI.EU diffrenet than the stock MIUI? and what do u need to do to change it, is a root is necesary?
Thanks for everyone on replying here but it doesnt really help to compae each other batter life in "how many times you charge in a week", each one has its own use so if you charge once a week and the other one charge once a day it doesnt really say anything
I know that the battery is working well, like i said "its working like 4000mah", 4000 mah is a nice size of batter which can last pretty long time, BUT the battery is 5200 mah, if the battery is good enough for you, it doesnt mean that theres no issue; there is an issue, but u dont feel it cause 4000mah is enoguh for you.
As I see for now, theres no solution for that.. I thought that maybe installing custom ROM will fix these because the problem is generaly caused by the MIUI system right? so if we remove it and install fresh android, it suppose to extend the battery life dramticly cause it will now use the 5200mah batter, but it sounds like maybe the problem is more inside, maybe the number 5200 mah is not really 5200 and xiaomi just try to give it a baz name..
Thanks for everyone anyway

Try to backup your DATA in TWRP, wipe and then use the Global Version. I never used the european version and never had battery drain problems. With the update 1.0.13 the cpu frequenciy problem also seems to be fixed

You are right, installing a custom Rom improves battery alot, as i said before, it seems to be a System.img problem not a hardware problem so it can get only better with time. Also i dont think it behaves like a 4000 mAh. My GF has a Pocophone with 4000 mAh and i always have more battery at the end of the day even though i use my phone more than her.
And as i said before, XIAOMI didnt trick anyone, the battery size is around 5200 mAh.

do u recommend installing a ROM then? is it possible somehow without any root? i havent done this for like 7 years.. is there a ROM u can suggest that has for sure dramaticly improvemnt on the battery?
I remeber installing ROM was always annoying cause every ROM has some tweaks that not work right like Wifi or camera that constantly crashes.. is these things stil exist in ROMs these days?

No i cant recommend it at the moment. The only roms available are GSI's, so if you havent used roms in 7 years, i wouldnt touch them yet, even though the battery life is amazing. Also, you dont need root to change roms, but you have to unlock your bootloader and maybe TWRP for ease of use.
