greeting to the great xda community, hopefully, everyone is safe and staying home. I'm making this thread as I really want to buy this device and I'm fully aware the device is not out yet. but I'm curious to know if the op8 pro will have the force mode just like the op7 pro. Also, if anyone in the xda community have the op8 pro, could they try the command and try the force mode and get back with the update. would really appreciate it .
Hopefully, the force mode will work and I'm not very fussed about battery life. hoping to hear back from the community regarding this.
Force mode for what exactly?
Are you asking if you could use the phone with both the QHD+ resolution and the 120Hz refresh rate turned on?
The answer to that question is yes, you can use it with both settings enabled.

Unfortunately, I made the thread in the wrong forum and op8 does not have 120hz and I've made the new thread in the correct forum and I have been told that the force mode which my original question was based on works.
Basically, force mode is locking the screen refresh rate through the adb command. In the settings, display settings, refresh rate only show 2 options such as 90 or 60hz. But the 90hz is not a true 90hz. Instead it's a dynamic and it switch between apps and not the true 90hz. The force 90hz is the true 90hz. And its the third option but its been hidden from the general consumers. And only through the adb the third option can be selected.
Thank you so much for replying and I do appreciate the help this community offers.
In the op7 pro the options are 90hz and 60.
The op8 Pro have 120hz and 60hz.
@Shery4life THREAD CLOSED as placed in the wrong device forum and moved to the Q&A section.
I'd appreciate if in such a case, the moderators' team is simply alerted via the report function to get the thread moved to the correct forum before creating a new thread!
If interested in the subject, please follow this thread in the OnePlus 8 Pro forum; that thread was also moved to the Q&A section.

Hi Guys
So I know this has been posted a lot of times before and yes there are a ton of apps out there that claim to increase the speed.
The reality is that most of them just don't work.
My solution relies more on resolving the software/hardware limitations of the device/network.
I would like you guys to try my approach to this problem -
MOD Edit:- Links Removed
Additional Notes -
1. Google DNS might be better for you than Cloudflare DNS. ( How to check which DNS is the best )
2. 4G to 3G might give poor performance if most users in your area are on 3G (This could be a scenario in developing countries but you should still check it out)
3. Turning off VoLTE helps (if your handset software isn't good enough or network issues)
4. I couldn't do a speed test specifically on data saver of chrome but if anyone has a better insight that would be great
I have also shared my own results here with before and after. (and no I have not tampered with results in any way) -
Would appreciate if people also post there before/after results.
If you have any questions please post them here and I would be happy to answer them.
Thank you so much for this solution. it helped me a lot:good:

Yes! :victory: try this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/google-camera-mods/gcam-google-pixel-1-2-3-t3875663
You have to run Android 10 to use the lastest version of Camera Px... if not, use a previous version.
Cheers!

Well then that probably means that no one had anything helpful to say, don't you think?? I any case opening multiple threads on the same topic is against the friggin forum rules which you should have read and even if not it should go without saying that you just don't clutter the forum!!!!!

Hi, finally I got the upgrade for 11 on my device in Japan!
But I noticed that the aod feature is no longer changing brightness automatically depending on the illumination... I've tried everything but no results.
Is it normal after the upgrade? It's impossible to check hours while in the sunlight now.

Hi! I am a user of Realme Q3 Pro 5G phone (RMX2205)
I wish XDA opens an area for this phone.
Although this phone is a portable product from China, it has a lot of users from all over the world.
Thank You
