Play Store link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wyemun.caastme
Update ver 1.3 Support bookmarks management.
Story:
This is the first time I'm posting this on DevDB, looks awesomeee!
This project was mainly inspired by the way WeChat and the new WhatsApp scan to login (into the browser web app) feature.
I had this idea to re-purpose the same method into sharing hyperlink to the browsers. I know that there're tonnes of other ways to achieve the same thing, but I'm here to challenge quickest way.
This idea had actually just spawned randomly less than 30 hours ago, and I'm proud to announce that, I have COMPLETED IT (With proper UI as well!)
How to use:
The instructions are written in both the Android app and the website ( http://caast.me ) as well
Go to http://caast.me on your desktop browser (preferably Google Chrome or Firefox)
From any Android apps (which has a Share function), click the Share
Select "CaastMe" in the "Share Via" popup as the sharing medium.
A barcode scanning screen will appear. Scan the QRCode on the website which you just opened on the desktop browser.
MAGIC!
Features:
No addional installation on desktop
No authentication/login in any form
Can be used throughout many apps, such as Chrome, Youtube App, Reddit reader. (As long as there's a Share function)
Argubly the fastest way to open webpage from mobile to Desktop

This is neat -- it's not working on one of my devices, though. It starts fine, but as soon as the QR code stars coming into focus, CaastMe freezes and the following error keeps appearing in the logcat:
Code:
E/ (2463): HAL_PIXEL_FORMAT_2_V4L2_PIX::unmatched HAL_PIXEL_FORMAT color_space(0x11e)
That's on the i9500, although I'm using a custom ROM (Cyanogenmod 11). Let me know if there's anything more you need, cheers.
Thanks for the report Germainz, I will take a look of it now!
Update: CaastMe just got featured on AndroidPolice --> http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/01/29/caastme-clever-way-share-links-computer-android-device-using-qr-codes/
Version 1.1 Updates. CaastMe can now share text too! DDD
Nice app. It would be nice to be also able to share video links. Any plans on making it open source?
Updated to support bookmarks (v1.3)
Previous update (v1.2) to support History!
Very useful app, but the URL caast.me is no longer working! Why?

}
News Kit is a new news aggregator model.
Registration in the application is not required - we do not store any personal data.
You design your own news feed. You can read each news source separately, or you can collect your own news feed from different sources. Read only what you are interested in. Unlike most aggregators, we do not add sources to the feed to which you did not subscribe and do not impose news on you that are not interesting to you.
The catalog of popular news sources, for convenience, is divided not only by category, but also by country. This allows you to create separate news feeds for each country.
The catalog is constantly updated with new sources and countries.
If your country is not yet in the catalog, just write to us and we will add it. You can write to us directly from the application, in the "Information" section.
It is possible to add new sources.
Simple and intuitive interface - to see the catalog you just need to open the side panel. Setting up a news feed takes place in the same place in two clicks. By opening any category of the catalog, you can read news from any source, even if you are not subscribed to it. This allows you to first open the source, view articles, and if you like them, add the source to your feed in one go.
Two article display modes. By default, all articles open in read mode, without annoying ads, hit counts, whistles and frills for decoration. If you wish, you can always go to the source’s site and read the full version of the article in its original form.
It is possible to change the color theme of the application, for example, for reading in the dark it is convenient to turn on the dark theme.
