Goodmornig, do you know
If it is possible to activate Spo2 functionality on watch 2?
Could be feasible?
Regards
The Huawei Watch 2 don't have the "Red LED" used to "see" the oxygen in blood.
So no, the functionality is never going here :/
Spo2 is now supported and available on the GT2 check the last updates from Health app.

Hi there
I am going to be retiring my 2nd Gen Moto 360 and buying a Samsung Gear S3 in a couple of days. I've never really seen one in person because smart watches aren't really popular where I live but the pictures look good online, I also love the fact that it doesn't have the annoying flat tire that my Moto does.
I am not sure if it uses the exact same Android Wear OS as my Moto (heard Samsung has its own interface) but is there a way to install custom watchfaces from facerepo to it? I always use facerepo for all my Moto watch faces which can be imported using different applications like Watch Maker, Facer, etc. but I haven't seen any faces for the Gear S3 specifically, just the Gear Live watch.
Am I missing something? Are we stuck with the stock watch faces Samsung provides?
And what about the "custom ROMs" I see here? I'm a fan of modding and installing custom ROMs on my Android devices but I've never really seen one for a smart watch before.
Thanks for your time.
1st, the S3 is a Tizen watch, not android wear, and so will not run android apps. Including google maps and assistant.
2nd, if you have Watchmaker, there is a companion app, call appropriately, Watchmaker companion. It allows faces from facerepo to be loaded to your S3. I'm using it and it works well. the only caveat is that sometimes I have to load a face twice to have the units converted correctly.
Also, Facer has a similar companion app.
3rd, since it's a Tizen watch and not open source, I would personally stay away from custom roms until more experimentation is done (on other peoples watches) unless you want a $350 brick on your wrist or are totally OK risking that.
What are the real differences between the Fit2 and Fit2 Pro? They seem like the same hardware and I thought I read somewhere that a software update allows the Fit2 to use offline Spotify playlists (this is a key selling point for me as I would use this often). If that's the case, besides being able to swim with the Fit2 Pro, what are the other upgrades?
Thanks.
GPS usable on Pro, not on Fit2. GPS is the biggest bug Sam cannot fix by firmware on Fit 2
The biggest difference i can seem to find is the "Gear Fit Manager" app doesn't work with the Fit 2 Pro. They have a a new app called "Samsung Gear Manager" which as far as I can tell, has no "Connected apps" section, and so third party apps that worked on the Gear Fit 2 do not seem to be installable on the Gear Fit 2 Pro.

Can't second that.
GPS works fine on Gear Fit2. I've ben running a few times now with the watch alone and tracking works properly. It even shows a small map of your track in the summery afterwards.
The Gear Manager does work with the Gear Fit2 but requires the Gear Fit2 Plugin, which is a separate app (both available on Google Play). You may also need the "Samsung Accessory Service"-App if you want to connect to a non Samsung device. If you want to sync your tracked data to your phone, you need the "Samsung Health"-App too.
If your device is "not supported" you have to get the Gear Manager Apps from ApkMirror or something like that.
It works fine on my LG G2.
The real difference seems to be the water proofing.
Gear Fit is IP68 certified, whereas Gear Fit2 Pro is IP6X certified and comes with some additional partner-apps preinstalled, which grant you free (for the first year) acces to some services.
I had gf2 for 8 months, for new year I got gf2 pro...it is same device with swimming possibilities and better strap.
Had no issues with gps on basic gf2 and I had more than 50 running sessions. Only slow sync time endomondo - > s-health

I got my fit2 pro now. I did some comparison with my ex fit2. Again I can say that: GPS on fit2 Pro is much better than Fit2, faster lock up - much more accuracy. That's why I said: usable on Fit2 Pro
The sensors to measure stairs also much more accuracy

The main difference between Gear fit 2 and Gear fit 2 pro that I can see to find is the gear fit manager app does not work with the Fit 2 pro. They have a new app that is known as Samsung gear manager.
Norton Support
Does anyone use endomondo for running on gf2 pro? Latest version installed, and today I couldn't lock on GPS...icon blink all time and no lock. I did 6.1km run where I'm getting 6.7km before with my old gf2. History in endomondo doesn't show any map from todays run, just data
Samsung health woark great with gf2pro and with gps I have no problems, fix cought in couple of seconds, but I like endomondo more.

Waterproof, can use it for swimming tracking, it's got a Speedo app
Finally I found a working version of Health mod for GT3
Now you can change custom watchface
GT3Health_v.12.0.7.360(BETA)(WatchFace).apk
Do you know if it would address the problem of the list of watch faces not appearing when the phone is operated in the U.S.? I.e., do you have to be able to show the current watch faces in order to handle a custom watch face?
do nt working for me samsung a32 A 12

It doesn't work for me in the US either. I've tried spoofing my location, and using a VPN to look like I'm in Hong Kong, all without any luck. I would very much like to have custom watch faces! I even lost one that I liked that came with the watch, I forget it's name, but even after a factory reset it doesn't come back.

I was finally able to get the watch face and app galleries to appear in the Huawei Health app on my phone in the U.S. and have been able to install many different watch faces, both free and paid, on my watch. I wrote up my experiences in this thread. Basically what is required is to create your Huawei account in a supported country while suppressing any indications that you're actually in the U.S. As I said in that thread, I'm not sure exactly what the Huawei software checks to determine where you are, so the factors I mentioned may be overkill - I suspect, but haven't verified, that the key was removing my U.S. SIM card and rebooting before going through the installation and registration - but they did work, and having access to the thousands of watch faces in the Huawei gallery was definitely worth the effort I put into it. Good luck.

This ver also helped me get connected to watch as all the other versions I couldn't connect if I did they lost connection within a hour or more, thanks for the app ver.
Do you all think that Samsung would eventually feel pressured to add support for Galaxy Watch 4 pairing in the Google Wear OS app? For those who would rather not use Samsung services on non Samsung devices.
They wouldn't even have to enable all the features you loose anyways like ECG and Blood Pressure. I have a OnePlus 9 and just think it would be more seamless instead of needing the Galaxy Wearables app.
Or if it does not even fall to Samsung and is just a matter Google adding Support for the Watch in their app.
No, I don't think so. If anything, it seems like other WearOS 3.x watches might start moving to separate pairing apps. We don't know for sure yet though.
Also, would definitely prefer Google Wear OS app with my OnePlus 10 Pro!
Is there any reason that after an entire year we still dont have most of the 3rd party watch faces that have a realtime HR complication working? What's up with Samsung/Google that something as basic as that isn't fixed? Are they even looking into fixing this - or will this always remain a broken feature?

AWF does a complication tat gets over this if you are interested, but as you say, this should be a standard feature.
Heart Rate Complication - Apps on Google Play
Heart rate complication for Wear OS 3 Watch faces. Galaxy Watch4 / Watch5 Pro.
play.google.com
After using the complication and a custom watch face....my battery life has dropped by 50%
not sure if its the complication or the watchface....so i went back to my older samsung watchface - and my battery life is still horrid.
Need to uninstall and see if thats contributing to the drop
