Yeah, I'm in no rush. I've tried out Android 10 on other devices and liked it, except for the utterly stoooooooopid way they f'd up recents!!!!, although I'm not sure about OneUI 2. Mainly, I still need to be able to use XprivacyLua, thus EdXposed, thus Magisk, so...

I was kinda hoping that there would be some updates to DeX....I enjoy using DeX, but it can sure use some refinements.

Can this firmware be flashed onto a currently XAR wifi only model? Or is it only workable on the Lte model?

tab s6 WIFI android 10!!!
For Samsung Tab s6 WIFI version NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where to download?

Will the Tab S6 support up to Android 12, or should we just expect til' Android 11?

If Samsung keeps his policy of two major updates only, then definitely 11.

Thank you for keeping us impatient types safe. ?

Question, I just got the Tab S6 (t-mo) variant, but have it running on a VzW mvno. I'm pretty sure I won't get any official updates so wanted to know if this update can be applied? I'm concerned because mine shows SM-T867 and this shows 865. I've done adb updates on other devices just not too sure on this since I just got it a few days ago.

Hi
Is anyone able to share the zip file, I have been trying to download on frija for last 2 days. Download always stops halfway through or finishes prematurely.
Thanks
Reset my PC and managed to get it all working.

Oreo final release might be close.

Spotted this on the Samsung fota cloud test server. It's version CQLJ which means it's not a beta version.

Yes, for sure, I forgot about 7.1
Major OS 7.0 for S8 - A, 7.1 - B (skip for S8), 8.0 - C
R - 2018 year
A - January
0-9/A-F - build number
Knowing samsung if its released to some european country today it'll hit america in around a month, and canada in 2 months, then a month later the s9 is released... thanks samsung.
I wish Samsung would fix their update scheme. There is Android Fragmentation, then there is Android Samsung Fragmentation. Why is the Galaxy Tab A 2016 getting the January security update and my unlocked S8 is on November...
Also the latest Oreo Beta is on December, I know security updates are only small but as has been seen on the January update with the Pixels they can cause issues, so I would be sceptical to an Oreo release even being up to date.
Samsung needs to stop carriers turning their phones into bloated messes. My phone, before I debranded, came with 17 applications installed by the carrier, none of which I have any use for or have used!
It really isn't that hard to get this right, and it's what we are all asking for! Simplification and transparency, not waiting and waiting and waiting! Some customers with Note 8's in the UK are still on August Security Patch. That's what £800 gets you, negligence.

Do you know if the version.xml (not version.test.XML) update in real-time? Thats mean, would I be able to see a new firmware when Samsung pushes a new update to my device?
I see they have jumped back to CRAB version from CRAL in the test server. Wonder if that is in prep for the release to beta testers.

SM T865 - T860 One UI 4.1.1 Android 12 - updates - general discussion

Hi,
this is a general thread about our stock Android firmware with One UI 4.1 now and it's later updates.
We can exchange our experiences and discuss software changes etc. here.
April 2020: Android Q. finally arrived
Changes: https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-T865/DBT/doc.html
March 2021: Android 11 (R) our second major update arrived nearly one year later (Will we get a third once ... ?)
Changes: https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-T865/DBT/doc.html
March 2022: Android 12 (S) arrived just on time one year later (it's even possible that we will get a fourth update and hopefully android L as an intermediate step)
Changes: https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-T865/DBT/doc.html
September 2022: Android 12L we've got OneUi 4.1.1 (is it the last Android version upgrade ... ?)

It's smooth enough in deed But I'm definitely missing some useful tablet features like volume button rotation depending on tab`s orientation and vibration feedback. One can only hope Samsung will fix this with some update ... .

... yeh man ... and that the volume keys don't rotate together with the tab`s orientation, it's for me the first time on my third tab (1: Packard Bell= acer a500 and 2: galaxy tab S).
AOD would be nice too. No idea why they not offering it on tablets ... .
In One UI I miss a lot the launcher option to scroll left or right from home screen in a circle, endless to say so.

Volume rotating according to screen orientation should be baked in as default.
Untill then you should be able to enable it with System UI Tuner from playstore. :good::good:

Hey ppl,
I have an interesting issue here. Galaxy Tab S6 4G/LTE (SM-T865) XSA.
Can't locate any stock firmware for this model anywhere. Tried Samfirm and Frija but no luck.
Sites such as sammobile, updato and imei also return nothing. WTH?
Firmware for SM-T860 XSA is easily available but that's only the Wifi model.
Can anybody help with obtaining stock firmware for the XSA (Australia) region.

Hey mate, had the same issue here. I just flashed German firmware, just like I did on S9 before. Works perfectly, and it is always in the list of first countries to receive security patches and other system updates (via OTA)

Flashing German (DBT) firmware is exactly what brought me here.
Doing so has lost Wifi calling (yes the tab is used for calls at times)
This is the reason I'd like to go back to the original XSA firmware (It had working Wifi calling).

Right, I see...
I couldn't find flashable XSA anywhere for download, but if I were you I'd try Kies firmware recovery (rebranded into Smart Switch?), or any other official Samsung firmware recovery method which uses your IMEI/SN to identify your device. That should be able to get you Aussie (XSA) region firmware restored onto the device.
P.s. Try New Zealand (XNZ) firmware, I wouldn't be too surprised if it works for wifi calling in Aus

How to change region
I bought a Galaxy Tab S6 LTE in the Emirates, the region is naturally xsg. I want to change to sek Ukraine. Since both regions belong to the OXM Region multi-regional firmware, I inserted the Ukrainian Vodafon SIM card and made a complete reset via the tablet menu. The region has not changed, XGS remains.
What am I doing wrong?
Yeah!
We`ve got an update over here in Germany

I took it also, on dbt csc

The Samsung A30 has been receiving One ui 2.0 in Asia as from 3 days ago. I hope we are next.
Samsung is not following their schedule. They released one ui 2.0 for Galaxy M20 last year way before several flagships and mid tier phones got it.
They also have released one ui 2.0 for the A30 before the A80,A70,A40 blah blah.
I really hope that they port it to the A20 and provide it before May.

A30 have got it for Hong Kong, India and Kenya so far.
I have added a poll.
I will upgrade as soon as it is available. I'm sure that we will manage to have working TWRP and therefore working GSIs, after all unlocking the bootloader is what really matters.
I'm not sure how this works but vendor partition may be updated with blobs that have better compatibility for Android 10, which will be great if we want to go to Android R

That's dirty flashing and it'll leave a mess of a file system and I do not want to do that.
Installing another rom just so it has a different code Avh9 to BVJA ending adds extra stuff and will lead to a issues. There are differences between Avh9 and bvja obviously...
The Samsung servers check whether you have bvja and it'll update. Otherwise it'll leave the phone as is.
If I was rooted I could change the code manually and it'll update it. But I am not rooted.
It's a crappy route to take.
Strangely, MID (IRAQ) has not been updated since AVI7 ..
Since you're on XDA - I'd suggest to do it manually.

You screenshot suggets you have OXM group of CSC so you can update (with Odin) other country firmware like INS/XSG, you will have zero difference from firmware with your country because both are same OXM group of CSC and after flashing said country firmware your CSC still remain same.

It's not exactly dirty flashing.
MID,INS,XSG all are a part of OXM CSC Package. You can flash any of the firmware's inside OXM to bump into any version you want unless it's a Downgrade.

It can lead to an issue (not exactly an issue) to do a factory wipe which is if Samsung changes something internally, and apart from that there's no issues doing it as I've been doing it since .. I dont know. Note 1 maybe. I was here when Dr. Ketan was modding Galaxy S2 i900. Since then we've been doing this dance.

Agreed, But that's why we are here ... aren't we?
To get ahead of the rest and get it done.
If you're in Dubai, I'm more than happy meet over a coffee and help.
If not, Try Odin route as that's the only way until Samsung decides to add it.
