How to change lockscreen live wallpaper and make it "stick" - Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Questions & Answers

My wife uses a live wallpaper from the Play Store, but every time she applied it to the lockscreen, it always reverted to the stock "blooming flower" live wallpaper. I finally figured out how to enable her favorite wallpaper and retain it.
1. Download your favorite live wallpaper
2. Install Good Lock from Galaxy Store
3. Open Good Lock and install LockStar
4. Open LockStar and tap "Edit lock screen"
5. Tap "Wallpaper" on bottom left. The active wallpaper is already selected (far left). Select one of the other static wallpapers and make any other changes to the lockscreen as desired, then tap "Save" at top right.
6. Now go to main phone Settings > Wallpaper
7. Tap "My Wallpapers", tap the 3 dots at top right, then tap "Live Wallpapers"
8. Tap your custom live wallpaper, tap "Set wallpaper " and choose "Home screen and lock screen"
Now your favorite live wallpaper should appear on the lockscreen.

How To Install Sense 4.0 On Any Android Device (Free, No Root, All Play Store Apps)

(1st thread and post, just wanted to share this).
Hello, and welcome to my tutorial on how to install Sense 4.0 on your android. Like the title says, these are all apps from the play store, and will require some tweaking, which I will take you through. Let's get started
Step 1: Installing your apps.
First, we will need some apps that will contain the lockscreen, interface, and some Sense-Like widgets. Here is a list of the apps you need to install:
Agile Lock free
Go Launcher EX
HTC Sense 4.0 (One X) Go Theme
Sense V2 Flip Clock & Weather
Android Pro Widgets
TV Show Favs
Once you've done this, press the Home key, and select Go Launcher EX as your home replacement, not Agile Lock.
Step 2: Lockscreen
Open up the Agile Lock app, and press either Yes or Never Show. Then press the power button. Next, press the settings button, and press continue. Then, press "Top Style Setting", and uncheck "Display weather widget". Go back, and uncheck screen lock sounds, unlock vibrate, and display music control.
Step 3: Theme
Press the menu key, and go to themes. Scroll over to the installed page, and apply the sense 4.0 theme.
Step 4: Preferences
Press the menu key again, but this time press preferences. Check infinite scrolling. Click visual settings. Scroll over to "Icons" and select the icon size as "Default Size". Then scroll over to "Indicator" and click Screen Indicator. Press Hide Indicator. Then go back. Press "Appearance Settings". Scroll over to App Drawer. Select the Grid Size as "Custom Grids" and make it 5x4. Don't select the 5x4 preset, as it doesn't work correctly.
Step 5: Setting Up The Homescreens
For your main homescreen, set a 4x2 Sense clock. Select your location (It might find it for you), and then uncheck display 24 hour time, and check am/pm. Next, get rid of all the preset apps. You can set up any apps you want, but I personally set a default LTEvo setup, (Contacts, Play Store, Google Apps Folder w/ Gmail, Talk, Maps, G+, and Voicemail). Same goes for your dock (LTEvo = Phone, Email, Apps, Messaging, Camera).
Keep in mind, this is just an LTEvo setup, you can fit your own fancy.
Scroll to the left once. For this, set a 4x4 People Widget.
Scroll left again. Set a 4x4 Calender widget.
Once again, to the left, I personally just set a google play music widget, and resized it to a 4x4, but you can just put whatever you want for a music widget.
Go back to the right once from the homescreen. Set a google search widget.
To the right again, set a bookmarks widget
On the last right page, set a 4x4 TV Show Favs widget. It will bring up a login. If for any reason you have an account already, use it. Otherwise, make one. Now if you don't make one, the widget won't show. Make another one, but with a tv show stack widget. If you back out again, it will be clear, which won't look good. If you make an account, it will be black, so that is preferable.
That's it. You will have a sense 4.0 like experience. I hope you like it. And remember it's OK to customize it!

[Q] s5 lock screen wallpaper

Does anyone know how to change the s5 lock screen wallpaper to something other than the default ones included
Setting > Wallpaper > Lock screen. (they may have hidden it under Personalisation, my S5 is currently on the other side of town.) Then choose Gallery for the option to select an image of your own.
You can also select 'Home and Lockscreen' to apply the same wallpaper to both.
If you want to use a live wallpaper on the lockscreen, you will need to use the 'Home and Lockscreen' option.

Lock Screen Magazine Unlock subscriptions never update

I have my lock screen set up for the Magazine unlock, with several subscriptions checked, and set up for auto-update over WiFi. But I've never seen any new photos added, they're always the same ones that came with the phone. Is there some other place that you have to set up a subscription to get access to new photos? In reviews of the phone last year, I read that these were supposed to auto-update, but mine never have.
same here, I didnt payed attention to it until saw this post, not sure what else need to be done to have these updated.
Same for me, too.
Even worse, it seems you can't even re-download the original wallpapers from the lock screen settings menu, if you have deleted them (which I did, thinking they could easily be restored).
I admit that I do not miss them severely as I now simply use one of my own wallpapers as a fixed lockscreen wallpaper. But I'm quite curious though, if there is some hidden subscription setting to get the original (and new) lockscreen wallpapers back.

silly question maybe but how do you do that? I've been trying to change the lockscreen wallpaper without no luck
@ilbambino:
1. Open the picture you want to set as the lockscreen wallpaper in the stock gallery app and tap on "More" --> "Set as" (any other app which allows to set an image as a wallpaper should work as well)
1a. Optional: You might get a selection dialog first which allows you to choose how to set the image as your wallpaper. Here you should tap on "Wallpaper(Gallery)" to get to the stock Huawei wallpaper assignment function.
2. Make sure that "Scrollable" is not activated (i.e. not written in blue, but in white) and move the image to show the part you want to have set as the lockscreen wallpaper.
3. Tap on the hook in the upper right corner. You should now get a dialog asking you wether to set the image as the wallpaper for your "Lock screen", "Home screen" or "Both".
4. Select "Lock screen", so that your homescreen wallpaper remains unchanged and your lockscreen wallpaper gets set to the new image.
4a. Optional: You might want to make sure that the wallpaper shuffle function of the magazine unlock style is disabled if you only want your lockscreen wallpaper to be displayed.

Vielen Dank!!!
Sometimes, if you apply the default Theme with Magazine Lock and wait awhile, you'll get a download.
I got several in the beginning. As soon as I switched to another theme, even with Magazine Lock, I never got anymore updates.
I haven't tried going back to a default Theme...I like mine too much now!
By the way, you do realise you can build your own series of magazine Lock pictures (upto 500!) by just adding them to your cover pictures?
It's excellent. Just build your own library of high res wallpapers from any source at all, and add them. It's even much better than the original.
There is also a security issue here! If you flick up the menu from this screen and select the gallery icon on the right and then press the home button it unlocks the phone!

I like the magazine and have added several pictures of my own. I have also deleted some of the pictures in magazine I did not liked.
As for the security "issue" from my lock screen I cannot get past any screen without the unlock code or fingerprint.
It's not working here either. I have a couple images (30) added manually, but the phone never cycles through them. I can however swipe left and right on the lock screen to see the pictures.

What happened to the first AOSP Live wallpapers?

does anyone know why you can't install those live wallpaper in newer versions of Android anymore? I've noticed many people lost them when you'd upgrade your Android version to lollipop but i might be wrong, i suppose it must be something in the code that is currently outdated?
Here’s how to do it in Android 10 or Android 11.
Download a wallpaper from the Google Play store.
Press and hold on any home screen.
Tap the Wallpaper & Theme icon at the bottom of the screen or Wallpaper & Styles from the pop-up menu.
Tap Live Wallpapers.
Select a live wallpaper from the list.
Alternately, just tap on the Wallpaper app icon and follow the prompts to adjust the settings.
If you’re using a weather-based app, be sure to enable your location.
Tap Apply or Set to set the live wallpaper as your background.
Hello. I am new here. if there was any way I could upload a custom animated wallpaper and use it.
