I just bought the Pixel 3a couple of days ago. I unlocked the bootloader, which factory reset the phone. I successfully installed Magisk and confirmed I had root using RootChecker. I followed the simple instructions for installing EdXposed via Magisk, yet every time I check the EdXposedManager v4.5.4, it says the "EdXposed Framework is not installed!"
The phone has the March 5, 2020 update, qq2a.200305.002 if that helps. I have tried both Riru - SandHook and Riru-YAHFA, and of course the Riru – Core module. Makes no difference.
I haven't found much of anything that really talks about what to do/try if one gets this error. I do not have my SIM card in the phone yet, but I assume that shouldn't make any difference.

Has anyone installed magisk on g930f and can play the new "buddy" Pokemon Go?
See reply to this post on how I installed magisk on the Exynos galaxy s7 sm-g930f.

Has anyone successfully installed Magisk in order to be able to play Pokémon Go's latest "buddy" version? If so, were you able to both install magisk and then play the new version? Finally, if you did, can you point to a walkthrough on how to do this on the s7? Thanks for any help on this. I did some googling but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for yet.

This sub is so dead. Anyway, I took the leap and installed Magisk myself on my g930f (exynos international s7) and it seems to be working.
First I followed the step by step instructions found at http://androiding.how/install-magisk-universal-systemless-interface-android/ which also include downloads (which are good right now 9-27-2016, you might want to check for updates to the apps and zips if it's been a while when you read this). I flashed magisk v6 via twrp which I already had installed.
I then continued to http://androiding.how/systemless-root-magisk-android/ and installed phh's superuser. I downloaded and installed Magisk manager.
I wanted to automate it for Pokémon Go, so I went to http://androiding.how/download-auto-magisk-automatic-root-toggle-pokemon-go-android-pay/ and downloaded AutoMagisk, which allows you to indicate particular apps for which you want magisk to hide root when you boot them. It appears to be working well.
I have not yet attempted the version of Xposed for Magisk. If and when I do, I will update this post with how I did so, if I do get it working.
If this helps you, please hit the "thanks" so I can see if this was of use to anyone.
With suhide you don't even need to turn root off. Dunno if it works for s7 however. But it's working perfectly well on my old Nexus 5.
Systemless SuperSU + systemless Xposed + suhide
Automatically hides su for googleplayservices effectively making it undetectable for safety net, temporarily however...

Hi,
Upgraded my Galaxy S7 (Exynos) to nougat (clean install).
ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/rom-android-nougat-7-0-beta-3-zpkk-odex-t3507499
Kernel: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/kernel-superkernel-v1-0-t3389247
Used supersu with marshmellow before and stopped playing Pokemon Go when they blocked rooted phones. So I tried Magisk this time.
Installed ROM & Kernel, flashed Magisk-v11.1.zip and phh-superuser-magisk-r266-2.zip, enabled magisk-hide, added systemui, disabled USB-debugging. Everything worked, even safetynet check.
Today (two days after install), the safetynet check suddenly failed (CTS profile mismatch), and I was not able to get it working again. -> PGo did NOT work, root still did.
I tried to reinstall magisk, (flashed the uninstaller and reinstalled same way as I did the first time). Root still works, safetynet STILL fails. BUT somehow PGo works nontheless. (?!)
#1 Why did safetynet check start to fail in the first place? Only thing that changed were some app-updates. No system / security update I know of, OTA is disabled anyways.
#2 Why does PGo work atm after seemingly unsuccessful reinstall of magisk (safetynet still fails...)?
Thanks for your input.
just be happy about that u can play POGO
Has anyone been able to get this snapchat bypass version of edxposed working on their essential phone? I am currently on liquidremix rom (pie 9.0), I have tried both version 1.0.3 and 1.0.4, sandhook and yahfa, as well as the bootloop fix version, and all of them gets me stuck at boot animation.
https://github.com/Juxstin/EdXposed-SnapChat-Bypass/releases
Any help is appreciated. I really want to get snapchat working on my phone with edxposed.
Snapchat worked fine with edxposed (I think it was yahfa) on Pie for me, no "bypass" was needed. And this still holds true on Android 10 with Magisk + Edxposed.
Is the latest edxposed? You may need a custom magisk to start
The following is from the developer
---From Google Translation---
Notes: Since the above PR is not merged yet, to make those sepolicies present you have to use this build along with the customized Magisk build hosted here: https://github.com/solohsu/magisk_files.

not for me and quite a few other people in other threads. I get banned within a day or 2 with edxposed
So after a while I decided to finally upgrade to Android 10, I refused it a long time because of Snapchat modification reasons which only works on Pie.
My 7 Pro is ofc rooted with Magisk, I have several modules active and also have edxposed and Swift Installer installed.
I want to go sure to not mess anything up, because last times I upgraded a firmware, I either messed up the encryption and had to format everything in the end or got stuck in a recovery bootloop.
How do I upgrade properly in my current status?
Thanks!
I have unistalled the Magisk beta APP and installed the alpha version.
As you can see in the screenshots from my Samsung S7 Flat SM-G930F, in the Magisk tab it show it isn't installed after I get alpha version. I've used root checker and it seems that the phone is still rooted but only the app doesn't show. If I uninstall alpha and go back to beta, it starts to work normally again.
Thing is, I need alpha to use Zygisk along with another module to make an especific app work on my phone.
I've done this uninstall-install process in my Moto G2 and it shows 'Installed: YES' over Magisk TAB, so I guess the problem is my phone being a Samsung.
I don't have much knowledge in the area, but if you can help giving me directions I would appreciate it.
