I tried shooting portrait using this phone, I'm pretty impressed with the result. Although not perfect, it's good.
I had pixel 2 xl which still shoots great photos, it goes par for me.

Since I'm not that photo guy. I honestly say that the photo quality is great. I'm coming from pixel 2 xl, so i can definitely say it does the job, for social media posting too.

I shoot videos on YouTube and it is very important for me that the video quality is high. Tell me if the camera of this phone can be professional?

i tried 64mp vs 16mp on a huge billboard,
16mp the text was neat, no wavy texts going on. but the 64 mp looks the same, file size is way bigger, image resolution is bigger, but the quality, once you zoom in.. you can see the differences.

Quality is so so! I need a better mobilephone....

Coming from the Samsung Galaxy S Duos, the camera of Oneplus Two has amazed me a lot. I compared it with Samsung Galaxy S5 & S6 and it stood out very well to S6,while it totally outclassed the S5.(This comparison was done at night) . The Oneplus Two captures real life colors and the details are awesome. The trees shots are sometimes kind of very green and like oil painting but it's great. Video may be improved a lot. OIS & LAF works very well. Overall, an outstanding camera but could be improved a lot better with software tweaks. Thanks.
I have both OnePlus one and OnePlus 2 . Both cameras have the same megapixels. From my observation, OnePlus 2 is a lot better. Not much grain in low light, more texture, and more saturation.
I think that opt stock camera adds too much sharpness to the pictures. Take a picture of something with straight lines and zoom in on the picture. The lines are over-sharp but that's just my opinion. If you don't zoom the pictures look great.
No need for so much sharpness, very small jpg file.
photos in outdoor are just amazing , like @Kirahvi mentions there was quite a bit of sharpness back then , now i think that has been dealth with .
Hdr mode completely sucks, once it works another time it don't. BUT, after turning on raw and taking photos in normal mode or manual it is just.. amazing. First time when I took selfie with main camera my jaw dropped when I saw all the details of the skin, it looks like taking glimpse through magnifying glass. First camera app that I can set iso 100 and it will handle shutter speed itself which is awesome. Camera itself gave me though that money was very well spent on that phone and decision of selling my camera and Nexus 5 in exchange was a great deal, it has even more that those two had to offer.
I think that my photos can speak for themselves

The best results in therms of photography can be achieved by installing OOs camera libraries. You can find it at XDA forums.

With mine i experiencing photo smearing while using HDR \ HQ mode.
lot of quality loss... mine is the A2001.
Is there any differences between the A2001 -3-5 in terms of camera quality?

I don't think there's a difference when it comes to versions.
In fact this device camera is just ****ty because of Oneplus Software.
Theorically it just should be fine, but since OOS 3.x they just destroyed quality...
And it's just stupid to have manual control with stock camera...
Edit : My old Mi4 was a bit better.
Something weird with this device is that there are some artifacts on long exposure shots with specific ISO.
Just check this picture :
http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/929229IMG20170409005217.jpg
And hum still don't mention, OIS has to be disabled (by build.prop edition, as there is not setting to do so...) in oder to do long exposure shots. If you don't do so you get blurry pictures as OIS tried to compensate accelerometer background noise...

Low light: below average.
Daylight: Auto WB not accurate, yellowish tint. In direct sunlight photos, or part of them are overexposed.
check it now with hdr+, amazing camera!
With Google Camera the pics turn out awesome, even friends with iPhones 7, 8, X and Galaxys are impressed with the quality and portrait mode with a single camera. Here in Brazil people don't know much or even anything about the Pixels.

Hi so what setings do tuo use ?
Hi RisingNoob,
excellent photos.
The above mentioned Gcam app doesn't start (it crash on start) on my Mi 5s (running latest MIUI Oreo ROM). For now I use an older Mi 5s dedicated BSG Gcam app.
Maybe you have an advice.
Thanks.
I discovered an issue with the version a recomended few posts ago, was trying to take shots in dark evironments when the app started crashing in a random way. I was able to take some shots before and after each crashing, then I went out and seached for other version.
Now I'm using the version from this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5s/themes/mgc-6-1-021-arnova-xcam-mi9v8-perfect-t3917166
And so far so good: no crashing, good quality, lots of customizations. Plus the post has a config file ready to apply.
in its time this phone took the best pictures. I miss it

The 16 mp cam is good but id say its not that great, lacks manual Control however VSCO edits give me some relief, where as the selfie cam is very bad and im very disappointed! Like I still look ugly on the front cam and VSCO cant do anything about it either where as my last phone managed to give better saturation at 5 mp! THE 8mp on Nokia6 is terrible! Is it just me?
I've read about this a month ago: reddit. com/r/Nokia/comments/6ti8ik/installed_the_new_google_camera_apk_with_hdr_on/
I've done it on my phone and surprisingly, it does improve photos quality a little bit.
Coming from lumia phones,I would say hugely disappointing camera.I miss my old lumias so much more once again. With years of use I am so familiar with nokia pro cam app and extraordinary pictures,it feels like this is not even a nokia camera.
Trust me I am not comparing top end lumias with pureview and zeiss lenses.Cheapest lumias like 630 with 5mp camera (no pureview,no zeiss,no flash) outperforms it by a great margin.
Yellow photos are extremely annoying but it vastly improved after oreo.Gcam from xda gives good results as well.
Personally i feel, the hardware is not so bad but the software is not using it properly. Some half decent shots I have managed to take with it.
Hdr on.Rest all are auto mode Flash off.

No it is a fact. You are absolutely right.A 5mp camera of dirt cheap lumia 630 outperforms it in every aspect.I am not even trying to compare it with even mid range lumias.
depends on the lighting imo, outdoors by day photos don't like bad. indoors with room lighting photos can be blurry and pixelated
pretty disappointed in the camera as well, i've seen better results on a lower px chinese phone cameras
as can be seen from these two images, one is without flash and the other is with flash
here is a short clip demonstrating camera outdoors by day, picture quality is the same as in the video

Video quality

Your friends are never going to believe what you did. The only way to prove it to them is with that video you took. Rate this thread to express how videos shot on the Huawei P10 Plus come out. The quality of video is quite good. It doesn't match up with modern mirrorless cameras, but Leica optics does hand a great value to video quality. This is exactly why I'm so frustrated on the software. Camera on itself is awesome and the quality is top notch, yet deficiency of the camera application renders camera almost useless. Except for the selfie, monochrome and pro-mode parts (which are photography modes) Too bad, video is the worst part of the camera. Only in perfect conditions it will perform quite well, but at least here in Finland Sun doesn't shine around the clock. When using artificial lighting, shutter flickering happens about 80% of time because one can not lock down the shutter speed to match frequency of said lighting. And on normal-to-low light situations, noise and artifacts destroys the video quality to a point you don't ever want to use the phone for video.
video quality is very bad. to the point that i dont like shooting with it anymore. camera is bad as well. it is very frustrating. i swapped out my iphone 6s for this huawei p10 more because i was attracted with the leica branding. and i am regretting it.. it has been 3 months already since i bought this. 2 months of selling it and no body is buying this thing

I love it. Videos are so clear without sacrificing fps,
The video quality on the Honor 9 isn't that bad but it is not the best.
Very good video quality....i doesn't shoot much video but i am impressed
Outstanding, just outstanding.
My Honor 9 have very bad video quality indoor (medium lighting). Too much noise! Like a phone from 10 years ago, come on... WTF is this...
How is your experience?

Same here, very bad quality indoors.
thats the result of having small aperture lens and no OIS
On new software huawei added software stabilization.
B180
Video Record is a good quality ,nice frame (fps) and is ok.
I off stabilzation to test 60fps 1080 and 4k 30fps and and there is a lot of improvement.
The Honor 9 can produce really nice footage at 1080p with image stabilization. At 4k, the footage is pretty shaky.
