[Q] Lost my IMEI, recovered it successfully, but I still can't connect to Verizon

Alright, so I just got my Galaxy S3 about 2 weeks ago. As I can't stand the look of Touchwiz, I rooted my phone, unlocked the bootloader, and put AOKP build 3 on there right away.
Everything was working great, except for my lack of Picasa sync, so I flashed BlackBean 5, then JellyWiz, and eventually went back to AOKP build 4. Wanting to get my Picasa sync, I tried flashing a few custom GApps builds, and then reflashed AOKP b4 fresh with the custom GApps.
After booting my phone back up, the "Activating" screen came for about 5 minutes, before it said that it failed. Checked my phones settings, and my IMEI was at 0. I flashed my phone back to stock, then used QPST to restore my IMEI.
IMEI is now displaying properly, but I am still totally unable to get any sort of connection to the Verizon network; voice or data. Do I have a brick? Furthermore, if I do, will relocking the bootloader, running TriangleAway to reset my flash count, and unrooting/factory reset on the stock rom be sufficient to return the phone to Verizon, or will they be able to tell that I messed with it and void my warranty?
reprovision your device with the dialer code *2767*3855#
next time follow the guides stickied before flashing...if you would of did the nv backup via terminal emulator then you would of never lost imei in the first place.

Thanks for this; I can't really tell if it works yet because I put my Fassy back in service on this line temporarily, but I will be able to find out tonight when I have a chance to call Verizon. It has improved my situation, though -- I am now seeing signal whereas before the reprovision I had the Ghostbusters/No Smoking No Sign in place of a signal bar.
I unfortunately didn't see any of the stickies as I found all of the instructions I needed my googling and grabbing things from one place or the other. I did find that thread when looking for a solution to this, though, and I have to say that the people on the Development board for this phone are amazing; they have really done an amazing job getting everything that one would need right on the front page.
Also; *would've
Any flashing you did while your bootloader was unlocked wont be counted in the flash counter.

[Q] No service on OnePlus One after flashing a backup on TWRP.

Here comes the info. So, I rooted my OPO and wanted to install a custom ROM. I first, as recommended, made a backup image on TWRP. I then downloaded Paranoid Android 4.6 Beta 6 to try it out. Used for a couple hours, and then decided to flash the OPO AOSP ROM directly from the OnePlus website. This is where everything went wrong. My phone was stuck in a bootloop after rebooting from flashing the ROM. So, I went back into TWRP and flashed the backup image I had made, afraid I was going to brick my phone. Once the backup had installed and I had booted into it, I had no service. I tried removing my SIM card, and placing back in, I checked and I was NOT in airplane mode. I became quite irritated, so I formatted data in TWRP. I then placed a zip on my phone from my computer of a CM12 Rom. I flashed that and still have no service. How do I regain service? Is it a problem with my phone or my SIM? Please Help.

Go to Settings>About Phone, do you still have an IMEI listed? Don't post it here, just let me know if you can still see it. And also your baseband version.

I do still have an IMEI and I can still see my baseband version.
Are you sure the SIM is inserted the right way? Have you tested it in another phone? Have you tested another SIM in your phone?
Transmitted via Bacon

OnePlus One... I'm pretty sure I messed up my EFS partition.

UPDATE:
I have baseband wifi and bluetooth back but my IMEI is still showing up as 0 and no signal. I know the phone is reading the sim because I can see the phone number saved on the sim info.
Also getting "OEM_NV_Backup The NV Partition is invalid!" when I boot OxygenOS
Does anyone know where I can get 16GB installs for ColorOS and OxygenOS? I have a 16GB phone but when I use the msm download tool to install ColorOS I end up with a 64GB install.
Do you have any backup for the EFS partition?
I had same problem about EFS partition and No IMEI too. So I am almost sure that flashing completely untouched official Oxygen OS downloaded straight from official site will solve your problem as it did mine. Just download "Build" from here (oneplus forum) and flash it with latest TWRP. After that you'll get your fully working network connectivity back. Then just flash any other ROM you like, but look for perfect modem first (c6 works best in Asia and c7 rest of the world, but try both if you want). All the best :fingers-crossed::good:

gonna try that now, should I take any other steps before flashing in twrp like wiping anything?
so I tried installing oxygen through twrp but I was getting error 7 (phone is marked as A0001 and install is marked for OnePlus). I tried using the files and instructions from the oxygen 2.14 thread and somehow my phone hard bricked lol, I've learned so much about this phone in the last 2 months.
Gonna throw ColorOS on there and try going straight to OxygenOS from there.
So I had to wipe everything (system, cache, etc) before twrp let me install oxygen. I got oxygen installed but now it loops in oneplus screen and I got this issue come up after installation finished
Some more progress... was able to install oxygen os finally and it look like I'm almost done coming back from this nightmare. Baseband is back, WiFi and Bluetooth work, now just need to see about restoring my iemi, I've found some info on how to restore imei so I'll try that tomorrow sometime after waking up. I've learned so much about this damn phone! !
My bottom screen has also stopped working. The replacement screen you brought from, it is original or clone?? How does it feel to the screen when you buyed the phone from your friend. And i hope you'll get back your imei too

It's not original. Screen is fine the only downside to non oem front assembly is that that capacitive buttons will not be as bright, some have reported that they don't light up at all, seems to be luck of the draw.

As I can see from your screenshot from previous reply, you are not using official ROM. Completely official ROM is named as "OnePlus_Bacon_OxygenOS_201601190107". There was no need to wipe internal storage. Use this guide to modify the updater script. It worked for me perfectly. Then flash it and just boot into ROM. I was able to recover everything including IMEI number by this method.
And yeah, I feel the same way. I've learned so much from our beloved Bacon

You have baseband so your imei is back
yet another update
installed oxygenos with twrp, I have baseband wifi and everything but no data signal and my IMEI is 0
I've hit yet another wall :crying:
Why isn't there a 16GB version of ColorOS and OxygenOS? When I install ColorOS via msm download tool I end up with a 64GB install, I think this might be causing my "OEM_NV_Backup The NV partition is invalid!" issues as well.
Just need to resolve those two issues, bad nv partition and my IMEI being 0
Anybody know where I can get a 16GB version of colorOS, I have a feeling I overlooked something I was supposed to tweak

That's what I thought but my IMEI still shows up as 0
I don't understand why you are not flashing official Oxygen OS even after saying it solved each and everything for me?? And since it is official, it is bound to support 16 GB variant as well.

Ok, so the link I posted should be a last resort. You will find a recovery tool that I used when my IMEI would not return correctly. Follow all instructions, but do note that this will completely wipe everything, and if I remember correctly, that includes all personal files. The tool should land you back on the original software (like CM11S). I say try EVERYTHING else people tell you first before doing this. You're essentially starting over your phone. Good luck!
EDIT: Your recovery will be stock as well.

I did flash the official one. I used the link from the oneplus page that takes me to a forum post. At first I wasn't able to do it with twrp but afterwards I was able to
I did it once with the tool they provided and a second time through twrp, imei still 0

[Solved] Recovering messed up Pixel 4a 5G

So I screwed up, apparently more so than I thought.
I got a new, fancy Pixel 4a 5G and wanted to install Magisk on it. I didn't do any rooting/flashing since I got my OnePlus One a couple of years back, been running vanilla since then, now I wanted to try something else, and I screwed up. I unlocked the bootloader, installed Magisk Manager, patched a boot.img and flashed that patched boot.img on my phone. Only issue is, I used the wrong boot.img, I had accidentally downloaded a Pixel 5 image (missclicked in frustration after several failed downloads), not Pixel 4a 5G. Upon discovering my mistake, I flashed a clean boot.img, this time from a Pixel 4a 5G image, thinking it would make everything return to factory image. But I'm still stuck on the white "Google" boot screen, no joy here. I can still access fastboot, recovery and rescue modes, but trying to flash a factory image fails, returning a "failed to load image [image name] not enough space". I don't buy that the phone doesn't actually have enough space for the image, as it's literally brand new and I already wiped user data before.
Does anyone have any ideas what more I could do? I can try to provide logs if required. Sadly, I do not have any nandroid backups, as TWRP isn't available for the 4a 5G yet.
Is there any way to force a wipe and reinstall a clean factory image?
UPDATE: Solved the issue. After updating my platform tools (had an older version set up system-wide without noticing), I attempted to reinstall the factory image as provided by google again and it actually worked, without any "not enough space" errors.

IMEI info gone and no backup after installing pixel experience custom rom

Installed pixel experience today I don't see the IMEI information. Any idea how to get it back?
I was also trying to encrypt the phone use no-verity-opt-encrypt. But that somehow didn't work. I erased the data again and reflashed pixel experience 11. Anyone knows how to get back original imei?
Have you backed up phone's /EFS partition - where IMEI and other networking stuff is stored - before flashing the Custom ROM?
