Screen Protector - Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Accessories

Hi ?
I imagine this is going to be unlikely, but has anyone found a good screen protector for this phone yet?
I've tried 2 glass ones so far from Amazon and both have been identical and neither have fit properly (white air gap all around the whole screen)
Thanks

s10 lite already come with pre installed screen protector? why bother changing it?

Actually it is not a screen protector either a guard, it is just a wrap which samsung has given to all of its devices from s7 where we remove the back wrap, side wrap but we leave the front wrap thinking it as a screen protector.
it makes me confused

I got a 3mk flexible glass. It's plastic but fits really perfect.

How do people find the fingerprint unlock when using a screen protector. I'm finding it's quite bad even without one, so I wouldn't want to make it worse!

I didn't notice any difference, with or without the screen protector. However I found out that the way you setup finger prints has an impact on later speed and reliability. You are to apply your finger like twentyish times, and the device doesn't care how you do it, so if you apply same part of it every time then the process of reading it will be very unreliable. Just make sure you stick those parts of your fingerprint that you are actually gonna be using, not the center part or all of it, if you know what i mean. In my case its mainly the front part, near the nail.

I've redone the fingerprints, and I think it's a bit better now, thanks - I'll see how it works out. (It wasn't happy about how I was doing it, so took a few attempts!). I do wish they'd stuck with the rear fingerprint sensors, as they seem to work far better.
Good to hear the screen protector doesn't affect it

Do you have a link to that one?

I had Panzer Glass screen protector fitted, and registered fingerprints again. Working fine now, no misses at all. I have increased screen sensitivity though.

No I didn't lose screen, the black of the screen protector only covers the black bezels on the screen.

Isn't the screen on the N1 glass?
From the idrops website: "Carefully squeeze one to four drops onto the plastic, polycarbonate, or acrylic surface of your device"
http://www.wirelessground.com/saguaki.html
Has anyone tried this? Does it work?
If you read the end it states "not use on touch screen displays"
I guess i wont risk my baby..

iDrops, and most other scratch removers, are only for plastics... not glass, which is what your N1 screen is. You'll either create microscratches on the screen or remove part of the top coating on the screen.
i used t-cut glass polish on my nexus it got rid of the scratch i got when i stupidly put my phone in the same pocket as my keys
and a chamois leather is great for stubborn finger prints
To be honest, any mild abrasive would probably do. It's not as if the N1 has any anti-reflective coating or anything. Even a simple toothpaste and microfiber cloth would do the trick.
I find toothpaste is great at removing light scratches, won't cost you anything either.

Try PlastX from meguiers. Ived used it and its safe. Try in a corner of the screen first. Be sure its clean. Rub gently with a cotton fiber towel, not a bathroom towel.

Anti shatter proof layer replacement.

I hate screen protectors. They look ugly & wash out screens.
I've never installed one on any device.
My Xperia Play had an anti shatter proof layer (ASPL) installed out of the box which was also too washy & got removed.
However.
I'm ok with the ASPL on the Z. I was going to remove it if it washed out the screen but it's quite livable with.
Only problem is, the layer itself is a scratch magnet.
I've never scratched up any of my naked screens too bad my the ASPL on my Z has received a couple of minor scratches after only a couple of days.
A Google search hasn't shown up any replacement ASPL's for the Z.
Do you think SONY will release them for after sales?

I too hate screencovers but i bought my XZ outright so its too expensive to get damaged. I even tried to put the screencover that comes in the box on top of the anti shatter film but that was a disaster with about 50 air bubbles which looked awful. Don't really know what to do next because like you i have heard the anti shatter film marks easily. I have no scratches yet but mine seems to have loads of static and is attracting dust and fluff really badly.

I think these are standard screen covers which are supposed to go on top of the anti shatter film to protect the film from scratching.

I'm 99% sure this is correct.
The ASPL factory fitted on the Z will be MUCH thinner than the screen protectors in the box.
I got some spare ultra clarity screen protectors off eBay which were super easy to apply. Absolutely no bubbles, feel good now they've settled and don't appear to have hampered display quality.

both the arc and x10 came with screen covers (ASPL's) in situ and spares in the box, I'd just presumed the ones in the XZ box were spare ASPL's?
after all isn't an ASPL just a screen protector? - any well adhered film/screen protector would help stop the screen from shattering
i'm currently looking for an aftermarket anti-fingerprintscreen protector like SGP's ultra oleophobic which I had on my Galaxy s3, it was really good at resisting smudges - the ASPL is a smudge magnet!

Sony screen protector supplied in the box is ok it cover screen good enough :victory:
According to some dutch users, yes, the logo is on the protector.

Hold on,
So there's an extra layer on the screen?
I installed the screen protector that came with the phone which is pretty good.
People are reporting that removing the anti shatter layer brings off the Sony logo? I would argue it's not supposed to be rremoved. If that's true ....

Yes there is an extra layer on the phone, when you remove it, the front Sony logo will be gone.
I removed mine because my phone didn't came with extra screen protectors, else I would have installed them over the antishatter sheet, just the way Sony recommends.
Well this is news to me, I think I'll leave my anti shatter layer on for a bit.
I think I'll need some more screen protectors soon, preferably ones that resist finger prints if anyone can recommend any good brands and UK retailer

White nexus 5 sides scratch like crazy

One thing I ddin't like about the white nexus 5 , is that the sides are made of glossy black plastic , I don't understand why google chose to go with gloyys sides on the white nexus and awesome mate on the nexus 5 sides, the thing is , the glossy sides not only look cheap but they actually are... I baby my phone, I won't even put it on a naked table and I got a ton of scratches on the bottom side of the glossy frame, I'm guessing it's because of the friction caused every time I put the phone in my pockets and every time I take it out, is anyone else experiencing the same thing?
get a slim case, 2mm won't hurt your hand, but will protect body of the phone
Or get a dbrand skin. I have the back and sides, but you could just get the sides if you wanted.
They ship from Canada in normal air mail. Really quick. I had mine fitted in 4 days in the UK.

The white carbon fiber sticker doesnt look that bad, maybe I will get it :fingers-crossed:
Zippers on your pockets maybe? Without a case that would lead to scratches with either siding.

Noup, no zipper whatsoever
Not only easily scratches, but also very slippery in hand.
The white one is the one to avoid if you are going to use naked.

I can tell you that the sides do not scratch from just pulling out of a jean pocket. The plastic is way harder than anything that a jean pocket would have in it unlesss......... you had keys in there or something else. I do not think friction causes scratches but I could be wrong.
That is weird. I'm not using a case on my white Nexus 5 either and it's not scratching for me.

yeah i agree man .. i dont know why ppl keep saying black has better material !! whos said that ? it has great feel and have texture on it and its not a sticky hard (like before i get hands on it ) . feel great in hand . its just different material and feel . white nexus glossy side make it so luxury ho u come up with cheap idea !!! if u are not white nexus man , trade it to black one .
i didnt like previous nexus white version like nexus 4 . but
white is really beautiful and harmonic than black . black is not actually pure black and mat make me feel phone has ages on it !
white harmony and paradox ( white speaker phone on front and black camera in back and from back side black button make it amazing . )

I've had 2x White 32gb and both have had screen issues (1 had dead pixels & the other had terrible screen bleed), and one of them the bezel cracked near the sim card slot. I have also had a T-Mobile version in black which was flawless. The bezel thing is real and is something I noticed after a few days of use. I baby my phones; spigen crystal armor and ultra lite case since day one, and there is still marks from taking the case off and on. Google finally owned up and replaced my white one for a black one.

Is there a protective plastic piece on the home screen button?

NO! There is not. Despite feeling a terrible edge and being sure there was a plastic protector on the home screen button right out of the box, I have now managed to scratch the coating off the home screen using my finger nail.
Not even 5 minutes out of the box and now I need to replace the phone.
Quality of feel has improved in every way over the s6 I have sitting next to my s7, except for the home button. What the hell, the rough edge led me to being so sure there was something on the button.
both my sprint s7 had one over the home key, finally took it off after 5 days, lol

I don't know. But watch out I damaged the ND filter on the back of my Moto X as I thought there was one. Ended up picking a bit of it off!
lol nice work OP.
You must have thought it was quite a resilient protective cover.
Its a funny world we live in if thats covered by warranty.
That being said, it does feel pretty bad. Not a nice design.
My gs7 had plastic on the home button. It wouldn't read my fingerprint

I thought it was very resilient, but sometimes the tiny ones are. The first time I tried to "grab" it it did peel the corner a tiny bit which again led me to think that it was for sure a cover.
Maybe I should add this was a TMO phone. Didn't think they would come protected differently based off carrier.
And yes, not a nice design compared to the s6 I have.

I suggest not doing anything. What carrier do you have?
Mine read my fingerprint fine, just felt and looked like there was a protector. When I picked at it it curled the edge up a tiny bit leading me to believe even more that there was one.

Well I don't know what are you doing with your phone but mine is like new! Also I don't get why a lot of people complain about the pre installed screen protector, it's great and best of all it's free!
Mine is still like it isn't there. The only downside is fingerprint sensor.
I've had my phone for just over a month and the original protector is perfect. I've had the phone in and out of cases several times and there is no peeling and no marks. It feels smooth, like glass, and is clear and clean. Like I said, perfect. ?
I actually bought screen protectors with the phone, unaware that one would be fitted already, and I've had no reason to switch. FWIW I'm also using the included clear case, even though I bought a few others. Goog job, Samsung.
I had a small tear, and I wanted to see if its glass or cover, - so felt the cover kinda coming off and had to peel it eventually. But it was kinda loose too

Thanks. I got the Ringke dual easy which applies really well. Just that the quality of the sticker is inferior to the factory installed one I had on my Note 10

I was about to buy that one. But it mentioned it has some wings technology that wraps around the sides. That bit put me off a little. What's it like in practice?

It is great actually. The wings that wrap around go just a tiny bit towards the back glass and do not affect the look of the black glass. The wings also help secure the protector from lifting off the edges
I also put a skin on the back to get rid of the fingerprints you get on the black N20U .

I was looking for a topic like this haha. My one actually developed a few bubbles and I had to peel it off a couple of days ago. I received my unit in early September.
I am now struggling to find a good protector that works well with a case. Tried Ringkie but the protector was a way smaller than my phone!! Looks like it was a faulty batch. Tried another one - Apiker, and it peeled off when I putted my phone to my Spigen case despite Apiker advertising it won't.
I am now stranded in the middle of nowhere. Don't know what to buy to have a bubble-free screen and compatible with my Spigen case. Ordered the Spigen screen protector but it has mixed reviews...
I now regret I removed the original one.

Just get the one of the ones mentioned earlier to tied you over . They're a dry applied 3 or 4 stage peel type. I think most are made by the same factory. Leaves about 2mm on edges almost like the factory applied gap.

I couldn't find a single dry protector that would be bubble free and compatible with a case. No matter how hard I try to follow the instructions the protector either has bubbles/spots or peels off when phone is in a case. It just doesn't stick firmly. I will try my luck with Spigen wet protector. It should be compatible with Spigen cases as advertised. Already spent around 40 pounds on different protectors with no luck. I wish Samsung could offer the service for a fee. Their factory screen protector was attached perfectly.
I still have pre-installed screen protector on mine too and it's sitting well and is like new still.
