Company claims poco x2 has a 20mp+2mp front camera.
But all the hardware info apps and camera apps i have tested they all say it's 5mp.
What's going on?
Please see attachments, I've tested camera2api probe, open camera, dev check hardware and system info, device info HW, manual camera lite.
It has pixel binning 4:1 so sensor is 20mp but after pixel binning it produces 5mp images

See in above screenshot of yours. 64 mp cam is shown as 16. They are doing the same for 20 mp camera too
Back camera 16 so (16×4=64)
Font camera 5 so (5×4=20) there only 20 mp mood in available. Simply.

we need camera api 2 and sadly there will be no support of it... maybe you can try or ask in the cyanogenmod 13 forum. i'd really like the long exposure too but i don't think it's possible.
Is there any solution for implenting Mi4i or Mi 4 camera.apk (with longer exposure settings) to mi4c? Can't delete the camera apk on mi4c (with root)
That's a hardware, you can't change it.

Which hardware? Mi4c has Snapdragon 808 like LG G4. LG can take a photo witch long exposure.
Mi4c has Sony Exmor imx258 like Mi5s Plus. Mi5s Plus can take a photo with long exposure too (32s).
So?
It's possible: http://en.miui.com/thread-545160-1-1.html
Sad thing to see here coming form mi note pro. got 32s exposure there...
The camera in Mi4c is suck.
Just ingnore it.

You mean the HDR function in the Google Camera app? It requires the Hexagon 680 ISP and Camera2 API support. Mi 4C has none of them.
Hi friends I'm sharing google camera link for users with locked bootloader. HDR photos in google camera is far better than the MIUI stock camera
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/camera/camera-2-7-008-release/
Slow motion stabilization option is not available for video.
Portrait is not available but lens blur works fine.
HDR works great, 4k video recording is available.
Front camera shows 20MP (Redmi Note 5 Pro)
Captured on stock camera : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fWgyoaq0KwF0hnn1xd-AetnZ64ZpDWTc/view?usp=drivesdk
Captured using google camera : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c6ugWnZWjo5BRGVxiwZ5wLIyIFXcwHV5/view?usp=drivesdk
It really works:good:good:

Google camera i have shared here is for locked bootloader users and in this camera we get 20MP front camera (this is the resolution for Redmi Note 5 Pro model)
Did you installed 2.7 version of google camera ?? If you are talking about modded google camera then you will only get 5MP front camera resolution

I have installed the exact camera app that u have posted .
I have Indian Note 5 Pro but bootloader is unlocked with root. But I don't think that should cause any such problems. Let's see what other have to say about this.

Yes you were right. I disabled the camera2api restarted and can now see 20mp in front can.
But this cam is basically useless for me it overexposes the image. Miui Cam has much better quality also this cam does not have portrait mode, so if ur not going to use camera2api then stick to default camera app instead.
This is my opinion so please do not take offense.

Mi camera app has a lot of dependencies on miui system, won't run without it. You can hope for a port from mi a2, it's already working on oreo roms on sagit.
Also came here to ask this. Mi A2 seems like a good bet.
My Mi A2 should arrive next week so I will have both devices. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Try it and find out.
tested it might be possible but im getting this error thing it says /data/adb/magisk_merge.img mount failed so i cant install it.
Our Mi A2 arrived. My god, this is a great device. I forgot how much better Stock Android is than the abomination that is MIUI.
And the camera is fantastic - as good as my Mix 2s. It uses the same camera app as the Mix 2s, but the UI is slightly different. It looks the same but switching between photo / portrait / selfie works more intuitively. And the gallery thumbnail links to Google Photos.
If anyone can advise on how to extract the app I will happily have a go.

Do the following via ADB. Get the list of the packages available:
Code:
adb shell pm list packages
Get the path of the APK of the specified package name:
Code:
adb shell pm path com.example.package
Get the APK with the path returned from the previous command:
Code:
adb pull <path_returned>

aw crap, not sure where I got the idea they were the same. Any idea what has the better specs? If the A2 camera can perform as well as or nearly as well as the 2s it looks like a great bargain.

Mix 2S has way better specs, it's a flagship after all. Mi A2 is a high-mid tier Android One phone. You can compare the specs along with average antutu score for both here: https://www.kimovil.com/en/compare/xiaomi-mi-a2,xiaomi-mi-mix-2s
As someone who owns both, I can honestly say that the Mi A2 camera is really close. Like, I'm not sure I could tell the difference between the shots taken under the same conditions. In fact this weekend we were using both, and in a poorly lit environment, the A2 did a better job so we ended up using that one indoors. I guess it is a software difference perhaps.

But when I click images with OnePlus 7 the details show that the aperture is f1.6
Confused??

That's because both phones have f1.65 aperture but oneplus chose to advertise the pro as f1.6 and the regular model as f1.7. Although, both have the same aperture.

I don't know. The pros display has HDR10+ certification which means it's very bright, the regular model doesn't has this certification.
The problem is that everyone focused on oneplus 7 pro and i can't find any display review showing the pick brightness and color accuracy of the regular 7 to compare with the display of oneplus 6t and 7 pro.

Does ANX Camera APK support Realme 5 Pro and also 48 MP
Wanted to ask the same question as ANXCamera offers EIS in 4K video.
Would be great if somebody could make ANXC work on Realme 5 Pro.
No. Although ANX camera is suposed to work with 48 megapixel I tried several versions and fixes for it without success. I'd not bother with anx camera until it officially supports out device (I doubt it'll).
