So are OnePlus phones like pixels where there is no way of SIM unlock without getting network to give unlock code?
I'm getting mine from EE in UK and they said I can only unlock after 6 month's!

Pixels on EE in the UK automatically unlock on day 721 after it's 1st used on the network whether PAYG or contract. I brought one from Cex yesterday that was locked to EE and was hoping it'd be auto unlocked to use a Three sim and it was. They do the same for iphones as well but those unlock at 18 months and you can txt a number to tell you if it's unlocked or not as well (pixel you can't txt). You can however pay EE themselves £8.99 to unlock it whether in contract or PAYG if you haven't reached those milestones. Hello, does anyone know how to SIM unlock Sprint Google Pixel 3a (G020G) ?
I bought it from ebay and they told me it will work in Europe but it says SIM Card Is not supported. It runs the oldest Android 9 version and I can turn ADB on, OEM Unlocking can't be enabled.
You would need to take it to a Sprint store to unlock it. It is likely blacklisted though.
I have a funny story. I had a pixel3A bought from the google store but got the screen repaired under Sprint warranty. They sent me another device. However the device was locked. I went through weeks of calls with Sprint "unlocking" the device. But with it "unlocked" I was only able to use Sprint MVNOs. I get the same SIM error if I try to use a GSM SIM. Then to some degree I believe there is a big challenge regarding this device, at least using it with a non Sprint MVNO.

If you know the original owner you can ask them to unlock it for you as it is free for the original owner to request the unlock. If not you will have to pay £8.99. Check the EE website for a comprehensive guide, I don't think I can post links on XDA.
Is it asking for a unlock code or no, just asking because I to know if pixel phone are server side unlocked like iPhones?
