Saw the message yesterday but I hadn't the time to respond. Nice to hear that you fixed it

Quick update guys: New version, a LOT of fixes: Themes now works totally fine, a fix for mount/remount of system after installing zips, typo errors from information screen should be fixed as well, and A LOT of rework for grus. Also, this is becoming the OFFICIAL SHRP, and I'm his maintainer, so expect more official updates in the days to come

Red Wolf Recovery is custom recovery based on TWRP source code however some things are working here slightly different then you might expected. The main objective of this project is to provide stable recovery with features which you have never seen before in a recovery and which have not been accepted for adding to the official source code of TWRP. This recovery is also first recovery on the world with password protection.

Installation instructions:
1) Open this AFH Link.
2) Open Latest Version -> Download "RedWolf_3.1_Land-XXXX.img" or "RedWolf_Land_XXXX_XX_FLASH_SCRIPT.zip"
3.1) If you download ".img" file...
a) Flash it from your exiting TWRP by Rebooting to TWRP -> Install -> Select Image
b) Flash it using Flashify
c) Flash it using fastboot command fastboot flash recovery RedWolf_3.1_Land-XXXX.img
3.2)If you download ".zip" file Extract it, Reboot your phone to fastboot mode. Run "Boot.bat" if you want to temporarily boot it or Run "Flash.bat" to flash the recovery.

- MIUI OTA Working if boot backup is taken for OTA survival...
- Not working on 2GB variants...

Please remember that recovery with password protection isn't still a full protection for your phone. Red Wolf can only prevent unauthorized access to your device from recovery. But your device can be still reinstalled using fastboot or Miflash.

ATG Droid added "flashlight" to recovery, i.e. you can use flash light in Recovery mode. But that feature is broken in this...

Now i really need your help sir. I just ported Your RedWolf Recovery from kenzo to land by replacing some files. So i cant fix some bugs like flashlight, MIUI OTA support. So i want to compile it from sources. You already made it opensource. I know to compile TWRP from source. But yours sources looks different. There a setting with dm verity in the recovery itself. Also magisk? Pretty cool. Already flashed magisk so I'll wait to try it next time flash. But so far I like it.

Coming from Stock OOS with TWRP and Magisk 20.4., can I simply flash the PBRP Zip in TWRP and thats it? Or do I have to reflash Magisk after that? Is there any possibility that the storage is encrypted (not available in Recovery) after that?

Flash simply from 3.4.0.0 then flash magisk like usually you made, this recovery have some good features to flash it directly without have the file on your memory simply at the end of the installation with volume buttons or from his features.

This Recovery is Great! I love the Way it looks. It feels more modern, Love the Tools option. Can't wait for Themes to be available...

Reboot to your current custom recovery
Flash the PitchBlack zip
The device will automatically reboot into PitchBlack Recovery after installation

STEPS TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER FAST are :
1. Enable developer options from About phone Section in settings app
2. Enable OEM unlock in Developer option of Device
2.Add Mi account to Mi Unlock Status in Developer options
3. Turn on Find my Device on Mi cloud
4. Enable USB Debugging on Developer options
5. Unlock the device first time officially by connecting to laptop by waiting till 365 Hours and trying again with Mi Unlock Tool after 365 hours
, by installing Drivers From Miunlock Tool

Need to wait till 365 hours gets over, while phone links the Mi server and then try to unlock the bootloader would work
This thing requires a lot of patience

Installing Magisk via PBRP isn't clear, and such a hassle. Any suggestions on how to setup Magisk without complex steps which doesn't yield results, like gathering ramdisk info, patching bootimg and then using it with Magisk to flash into recovery partition?
Whatever happened to simple Magisk zip flash via custom recoveries?

try this:

This looks very promising. If you're using Gcam port did you notice a drop in quality? I do mean the modded apks that are out there, not the camera enabler your recovery has integrated.

I haven't tested it, I prefer to use the app that comes with the device.

But within the stock camera app you didn't have any problems?

try on cmd, not powershell

Hi, just unocked the bootloader and wanted to backup the stock rom. Unfortunately the backup function is not working for me. I haven't installed the addons zip.
edit.
After some testing it seems that the backup is working exept for the /data partition, also I have the same behavior on the twrp version 3.6.0_11 by SathamHussainM
