I am Android Q with January security patch, and today I just suddenly saw that VOWIFI is enabled on my jio sim without any update, so it’s a carrier side setting which got enabled from back-end, finally now I can use the phone with wifi where coverage is very low.

I just found out this evening that I was able to activate WiFi-calling on my Nokia 8 here in Denmark on the Telenor network. This compliments the VoLTE feature that was enabled in some months ago. I run Android 8.1 and my model number is TA-1004.
It is only available if your network enables the SIM card to use it.
It also needs a proper configuration from the network side. Network needs to accept this phone as a VoLTE and VoWiFi capable.
Wifi calling issue on Airtel, India network.

I am on Airtel network in India which has recently enabled Wifi calling. I got it enabled on my SIM card but I am not getting the option to enable Wifi calling. What I understand going through this forum is there will be a option under Settings -> Network and Internet -> Mobile network -> Advanced but I am not getting the same. I checked in another mobile set (OnePlus 7) and wifi calling worked on my SIM.
I am having TA-1004 running Nokia provided Android 9 with security patch up to October 2019. Can anyone here guide how to solve this issue ?
Does this rollback to oreo helps on "restarting issue" in Nokia 8?? Or can someone solve this problem please..
Anyone working on or have an idea on how to force enable WiFi calling on T Mobile? I doubt that we can use the OEM file from the XZ1 Compact like we could with the XZ1

Have a J9210 (Global). Flashed it to US Android 9 firmware, VoWiFi and VoLTE worked on T-Mobile US (but there were no toggles).
Flashed to EE UK Android 10 firmware, no VoLTE or VoWiFi works on T-Mobile US. Still no toggles.
Update: Now that US firmware is out, I flashed it and VoLTE works--phones stays connected via LTE while on a phone call. Doesn't appear VoWiFi works--used to show on the phone app during a call that it was connected over WiFi.
How can we enable voWiFi on oneplus 6 (India) or when will we get update for beta user?
I tried using logkit and *#800# but unable to call from Jio number using wifi..
If you havr updated to Android 10, you must have got this vowifi option in network settings. I have airtel and vowifi works great since day 1.
you can find it in sim card setting but right now airtel support vowifi not jio sim
When the phone arrived, Miui had 11 systems on it. When you switch on for the first time, the VoWifi signal also appears next to the Telecom card. Then he immediately upgraded himself to Miui 12, there has been no VoWifi since. The switch (both VoLTE and VoWifi) is visible in the settings menu, but there is no VoWifi connection. You can also see in the call list that you are only making or receiving a VoLTE call. Has anyone else experienced this, or do I just have such "luck"?

Sim cards & mobile networks -> Choose your sim card -> Tick on Make calls using Wi-Fi.
Maybe they removed your provider's profile. Vowifi also does not work in Telekom Hungary. I can switch on the vowifi in the menu but does not work. But someone reported it works on another operator, Digi. Also you may ask your operator not to deny vowifi in some reason after the software update.
My previous phone (MI 9SE) also had Android 10 and MIUI 12, this Telekom SIM worked. VOWIFI appeared in the status bar and there was a WIFI CALL note in the call list in addition to the calls.
WIFI appeared on the lock screen instead of Telekom.
Interestingly, both phones have Global (non-EU) ROMs.
It depends more likely whether the provider's profile exists in the firmware or not, and not likely depends on the Android version.

Hi, I was hoping someone can help me activating the volte and wifi calling for Samsung A8 2018 (SM-A530f/DS). I got this phone in the Philippines from Smart carrier. I had a 3rd party unlock and been using it USA for almost 3 years with some issues (most of the time cannot get 3g calls/text when connected to wifi). Tmobile Announced next year 3g is going away and require volte 4g for calls.
I have updated firmware to current stock rom from original carrier, android 9 pie nov 2020 security patches. I can see wifi calling and volte toggle in shortcut settings, but it wont activate (probably since its not available in actual settings). Been researching old threads on how to enable it but no luck. I have rooted the phone and tried to copy over of CSC files from here and youtube but no success.
