Request - I need the icons from OneUI - General Questions and Answers

Yes, I know this is a dumb and strange post but shhhh.
I know you're probably wondering why I need the icons from OneUI and I did try looking for a zip or something but I couldn't and stealing the icons from apks will take so goddamn long.
As for why, I've become really fond of OneUI and from the start this software absolutely BLEW MY MIND and the general design aesthetic of OneUI very pleasing so I've decided I want to style my computer and anything other electronics I can with a similar software aesthetic by modifying my icons and customising things. Only issue is, as stated earlier, I don't know how to get those icons.
If for whatever reason, you have any advice to customise windows with a similar aesthetic I'm open for it!
Just the stock icons will do I don't need any additional app icons such as GoodLock's icon.

So when we get 2.1 .. Will we have Motorola Droid icons?

Or are those icons exclusive to the device?
I know I can change the look of shortcuts on the home screen, but I think the application icons (when you pull up the application list) are just so incoherent like designed by many different developers ... I prefer the way the icons look on the droid.
Is there a way to change them without open home? Or will 2.1 change the look of the icons?
2.1 for the Hero will probably have HTC or Android specific icons.
Well that blows, every time I pull up my application menu ... I cringe from the incoherency of the icons ... Some are flat, some a pseudo-3D, some go for that angled look.
They're not easy on the eyes. I've looked passed it of course but if there's a way to get a coherent batch of application icons (not shortcuts) without using open home or some 3rd party application, I would appreciate it if I could be told how.
While on the subject ... So it's Motorola that is responsible for that beautiful set of icons on the droid? I thought those icons came with 2.0.

An application's icon is set by a png inside of the apk itself. Just like an icon on a program on your computer. Microsoft doesn't make those icons, the software maker does. So HTC's icons will look different from Sprint which look different from stock Android which look different from Jim Bob's Tractor App. If it makes you cringe then you could remake all the icons.

I see.
So the Droid has a coherent set of stock icons because neither Motorola nor Verizon decided to make any proprietary apps for the phone. Those are all Android applications?
As for remaking the icons ... Surely that's beyond my experience, but is it something that is technically possible? You know, just replacing the png file in the apk?

Apply only part of themes

Hey guys,
Is it possible to apply only the status and navbar part of a theme like e.g. Fi or Atomic Green? Often I don't like the changed design of some apps and menus, but really like other parts the theme I'd like to apply. Sadly that is all done with the "Style" part.
Thank you!
I don't think that's possible without decompiling the themes app and removing the theming you don't want. Then again, I'm not themer so I cannot say for sure. Someone else more knowledgeable could chime in and clear the air.
P.S. this belongs in the Q+A forum not themes and apps.
Thx for the answer and the move to the right forum

Use Certain Elements of a Theme?

Dear all awesome techies here,
I was wondering if I could get certain elements of a theme instead of the whole thing. I mean, without modding/rooting/being a techie myself.
Basically what I'm trying to do is to change my keyboard, phone log and phone buttons to black background/white text.
There are many themes that have that which I've used before, but I'm in love with the new icons that came with the Galaxy S8+ so I don't want to use the whole thing.
Samsung theme store icon hack - Use icon only from any theme
Samsung theme added a new option in nougat for note 5 and other devices to change only icons. The problem is that icon library is quite limited. Although some themes have great icons but do let you apply icons alone (not so thoughtful of Samsung).
This method here let you use any samsung theme icon without applying that theme, Follow the complete guide here on XDA

I would like Stock Nougat Notificiation icons over the EMUI ones. Please help!

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say EMUI 5.0's notification icons are a bit...ehhh. They're not really eye-catching, very small, and overall the design doesn't sit with me. I knew I was settling for this when I bought an EMUI phone but there must be a workaround. I have tried the SimplyN theme but the icons aren't what I want. To see my images, please type https:// before the links I wrote. I can't post image links because I'm new.
From my research most Nougat "themes" change app icons but NOT the notification icons, or if they do, it's not the change I want. These are the pure Nougat icons I would like on the top of the image: icdn3.digitaltrends.com/image/13570029_10153505105445356_1443343581_o-1080x1920.jpg?ver=1 That is in comparison to the EMUI icons that I don't want, again on the top of the image: cdn57.androidauthority.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Huawei-Mate-9-EMUI-5-home-screen-app-drawer.jpg
Please tell me there a way to get them in place of the EMUI icons. I love my Mate but I can't bear to look at these notification icons any longer. I would also prefer something through the themes feature, and not an overlay like the "Styles" app does.
Thank you, and hopefully this benefits all EMUI users that would like the superior Nougat icons too. That material design is just too good.

Shadows on icons android

Good afternoon
Im trying to find a launcher that has a shadow option for the icons. I've found one icon pack that has shadows built into the design but I don't like the icons. I'd like to be able to have shadows for any icon pack.
Is there a launcher that has this feature. I don't like flat icons with no shadows. I've tried installing an app that is supposed to do this but it doesn't work.
Please help
Thank you

Hi.
That is for the label only. It's not for the icons.
I'm tempted to buy an iPhone 4s just to get shadows on my icons lol. Still searching launchers.
My s9 looks ok but I want more icon packs with shadows built in.
Any ideas for icon packs that have shadows in the design so they dont look flat
Have included a screenshot of what my phone looks like at moment.

Someone please there must be a solution to this seamingly simple problem. In a world where android phones are so customisable it would appear this simple feature isn't included anywhere. I'm still going through endless lists of launchers. Installing trying deleting over and over. I've emailed developers with no responses.
Please help
Thank you
Another new launcher called launcher 2018 saying drop shadows which was just an icon pack not a drop shadow option for any icon pack. Grrrrrr
Why can't I find an option for drop shadows on an android phone. Why is everyone so obsessed with flat icons... Grouch n hiss n growl I make while I search I whisper under my breath... Omg for f sake
This can't be happening. Its 2018 nearly 2019 someone please tell me where to look
Thanks
Can someone please help. This is afterall the best place for answers. I feel like I'm being ignored. I have autism and this is very important to me.. Please please help
Anyone?
Try using adapticons.
You can make your own icon pack with shadows out of existing icon packs or icons.
Iconzy is another useful tool to assist
Thanks but none of these are of any use. Applying a shadow in the icon doesn't give the icon itself a drop shadow. I'm looking for a feature in a launcher that does this or a tweak app that provides this feature. There must be a feature that does this somewhere in the android world. I refuse to believe we have to live in a world with flat icons. If you can remember back to the days of the original ios that is what I'm looking for. I don't want a drop shadow on the icon I want it behind the icon to give the illusion that they are a few mm away from the back ground regardless what background it is. If it were plain white you would see the drop shadow.
Thank you for your suggestion but I've been through them a while ago and dismissed them as they were not capable of doing what I wanted.
