Hey guys
I was busy with rooting my xperia 5, everything worked but then i de-installed systemapps like carrier services and facebook,google apps. and the next thing it hang in boot up with only sony on screen??
Plz how can i recover the software, i tried sony companion with fastboot mode but because the bootloader is unlocked its redirected me to developer site on sony. also the 'emma tool' wouldn start for this phone ?
Can someone give me advice. i have no phone now and i had it new !!

did you try xperia flashtool yet you can flash the firmware from the program, but first you need xperifirm to download the necessary firmware for your device model, then create a bundle from xperia flashtool, finally flash the created firmware via flashmode.

Emma should work, it's for UB devices
Edit: if it doesn't, use Flashtool as aforementioned
When I do the volume down for flashing mode emma dont read the phone, something with a another version ?

Official tools (emma, xperia companion) are useless once bootloader is unlocked
I've been able to fix similar issue using newflasher (even though Xperia 5 is not officially supported):
- download firmware for your device model using xperifirm
- remove all .ta files (incl. those in subfolders)
- extract newflasher files to the same directory where firmware files are stored (appslog_X-FLASH-ALL-A2CD.sin, bluetooth_X-FLASH-ALL-A2CD.sin, .... newflasher.exe ... )
- connect device in flash mode - turn it off (in case of boot loops press and hold combo "volume up" + "power button" and wait till phone vibrates 3 times), after that press and hold "volume down" and connect phone to the PC (once led became green you can release "volume down" button)
- verify there's no driver issue in Device Manager
- run newflasher.exe, answer n (no) to all questions
- wait for "End. You can disconnect your device when you close newflasher", press enter and unplug your phone

Hello guys howdy all ? am a newbie down here
I tried to flash my arc the other day using flashtool, the whole proccess been finished but when i tried to boot my phone it always stuck on sony ericsson logo.
it is no longer recognized by the computer and i can't get it started on flash mode by pressing the back key while pluging the usb cable
Any ideas ?
i'd truly appreciate your help

Thanks mate i alredy tried the new flashtool release but it won't detect my phone
HELLO my xperia L is keep restarting AFTER 4.2.2 UPDATE
and SUS cannot repair it cause it says it is updated
pc companion cannot repair it cause servers not available
flash tool cannot flash it cause i cannot get in to phone to enable needed functions: i dont know right now which one
SO please help me to repair it

Your phone dose not need to be on to use flash tool. You need to hold down the vol down key for flash mode or vol up for fastboot mode and then plug in your usb to your phone. then you just press the thunder icon and select the firmware you want to flash and the way you go!
I hope this helps to solve your issue!

Glad to hear your issue is resolved!
I use Sony Xperia E(c1504) and it is rooted
Recently i tried to install a official update from Sony and while doing so i got an error(probably because my phone is rooted)
and now it is not booting
i can see the Sony logo and the an error symbol while booting
will flashing stock firmware help??
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!1

First law you won't install a stock firmware on a rooted devices. We know that sony patches latest kernel.
Second law see first law and so on.
Hope you'll figure how to reflash the custom rom it should work. Hope you still have it.

Look Men_in_black007 is 100% correct all you need is a firmware file of latest version

Make sure you have phone charged atleast 50 %
now remove the battery of your phone, reinsert it after 5 sec.
Connect the usb chord to pc now HOLD THE VOLUME UP BUTTON IN PHONE AND THEN CONNECT TO PC.
a green LED will turn up.
In flashtool it will show device connected in flashmode
click on thunder icon.
select flashmode
select were is your ftf file,
keep all option as it is then click flash / ok.
after 2 min. you will see a popup connect your device in flashmode and flashing process will start.
after the flash is complete now you have stock android 4.1.1 jellybean

I tried to update the system software to Lollipop via PC today. in the middle of the update an error occurred saying internet connection was not available (in fact there was no problem with the internet connection). i followed the instruction to re-connect the phone to the PC via the USB cable. now the phone stucks at the Sony Xperia bootup screen and when i connected my phone to PC via the Sony PC Companion, it only detects my phone as "Sony/Sony Ericsson/Tablet" and not Sony Z3 (D6653) anymore.
Anyone knows how to resolve the issue? best if i can continue to update to lollipop, or if not restoring to the old setting would be great too.

This is a soft brick, now u can download latest lollipop firmware & flash firmware with flashtool.
How to do check this..

After flashing reboot & u will see z3 with lollipop.

I have problem with Xperia z5 screen is locked by 7years old nothy boy , Baisicly i can't do anything with that i did try do something but without luck
I did try do something on flashtool but its say phone is not in debugging mode
I did try do hart restart using power+volume up nothing happen no response for that combination
I did try sony software but mobile have to be unlocked so no luck again,
On the phon ther is created new Google account
There is any chance to unlock it and how to do that, I saw in Google pc program Android multitool version 1.02b that could help but I can't find download links
