hi guys, can anyone tell me the advantages of using the current blu_spark kernel on my oneplus 7 please? And also, the difference from blu_spark twrp, official one and the unofficial unified one?
The main question is: what are the real features that a normal user may notice using @eng.stk kernel, and the same for his twrp?

The kernel features are listed here https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...vice-development/kernel-t3944179/post79819892
Kernel features are most likely for advanced users. So if you don't know them or don't care, you don't need a custom kernel.
You'll find some explanations all over the internet linke here https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/ref-to-date-guide-cpu-governors-o-t3048957
Unofficial twrp just means it's not official linked at twrp.me, it's like a personal build that's shared.

I want to have Kali Nethunter on my device as well as a 7.1.1 custom rom but i don't want to multiboot a 6.0.1 rom with Nethunter and a 7.1.1 custom rom. I noticed this page had Nougat for the Nexus 5 so i'm assuming its possible to use Nethunter with 7.1.1 but i have no idea how to build it. All i really want to achieve is a custom rom like Nitrogen with Nethunter on top, is that at all possible ?
Yes it can be done. Download the latest hammerhead kernel from here and download the nethunter package. I'd suggest you the full rolling one. Then flash it on a Nougat ROM.

No you can't. And if you try it might break some nethunter function. To get the monitor mode to work, you'll need a wifi card. You can watch detailed tutorials on Youtube.

I have a bug with the latest kernel so im trying to find an older one but i'm not even sure what kind to go for, there is: kernel-nethunter-hammerhead, kernel-nethunter-hammerheadcafcm, kernel-nethunter-hammerheadcm, and kernel-nethunter-hammerheadmon. I'm not really sure what the differences are, do you happen to know ?
Official nightly builds: build.nethunter.com/nightly/3.15.4-20170107-1635/kernel-nethunter-hammerhead-nougat-3.15.4-20170107-1635.zip
P.S. As a new user I can't post a link (url).
@Hammerhead2502 please help me to get this on Dark ROM 14.1 cm CAD..

Sorry I didn't notice your earlier post. Anyway, go to this page -> https://build.nethunter.com/nightly/
Click on the latest date and find this kernel file -> kernel-nethunter-hammerheadcafcm-nougat
Download that and then scroll to the bottom of the page and download the package you prefer. I'll suggest the full rolling one. It's large but it has all the features. Then just flash those two files in any order from recovery. And that should do it.

Same question here, also Im'm not sure if the kernel is automatically downloaded when I build my nethunter zip via the github repo....
Hi, since Xiaomi decided to depreciate rom support for our mi4c, everyday i try to find a replacement firmware. But here is what i found: official lineage removed mi4c since april, last rom is 0209 because they no longer support 14.1 version. AICP lastest version is 2702, no longer update. There're many unofficial roms on 4pda, but all of them now have their support ended because the devs move to new devices. There's only Mokee that support nightly 9.0 and release 8.1 version everyday and monthly. I try to find something like "mi4c treble" but no hope, the repository is created but empty, not like mi4 that has unofficial treble support. Maybe i need to buy a new phone? But my phone is still in good condition with no problem so far... :crying::crying::crying:
Yeah, sad but true. I also gave up on new rom, so i still use the 15.1 LineageOS one (20180810). Good rom, no problems here, but wouldnt mind some security updates.
The phone works nicely though and apart from battery lasting a day, i dont see any problems. I guess we will have to move to new phone if we want to see some updates rom.
I resized device partition table in order to support android treble.
I will make custom recovery image which is support android treble.
Maybe our device is ready to support android treble by then
added
I made treble-enabled recovery image now and it works well.
I will release the solution soon.

Is that the one without vibration support?
https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/wiki/en/wikis/device/libra/install
it's a fork of LineageOS, still being updated
haven't tested it yet
This is update of lineage-16.0.

/e/ is a fork of lineage and based on lineage 14.1 for our phone, with microg pre installed. They use a different default launcher, bliss
It works well and is easy to tweak if we dont like the launcher or default apps.
Anyway since our phone is no longer maintained i've decided to build lineage 14.1 for myself.
I'll do it once or twice a month when there are updates.
If anyone need it check here :

Mokee have a good android 9 ROM, been using it for months and no issues:
https://download.mokeedev.com/libra.html
Also WJXXBSH recently published new Lineage 16 and even 17! https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=299149
I have not tried it yet, but at least WJXXBSH is keeping our device live.
how about lineage 16 from havoic 3.1 (https://sourceforge.net/projects/havoc-os/files/libra/)
At least it work fine for me on mi4c

This is not the 7T forum, go here :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7t
Looks like @mauronofrio has been busy already though :
TWRP Build : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7t/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-recovery-t3976961
Also :
Pre-rooted boot images : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7t/how-to/rooted-10-0-5-magisk-patched-boot-t4002427
I don't have a 7T but I would presume the rooting process would be the same as previous models, this video may be the best place to start :
Custom roms will most likely take a little longer though as they did with our model, devs need to poke about in the official sources released by OnePlus first to ensure different features of the phone will work with their roms. I would suggest taking notice of the first post of any custom rom thread because the developer will state what does and does not work, use this information to decide whether you would want to flash the rom.
Magisk will be your best bet to root your phone after you have TWRP installed :
Magisk : https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
If you have issues rooting with the latest official you can, instead look to the canary builds :
Magisk (Canary) : https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/dev-magisk-canary-channel-bleeding-edge-t3839337
As for your other question : " is it possible to use roms kernels etc. From your version or one of the other versions?"
NO! DO NOT USE BUILDS WHICH DO NOT SPECIFICALLY SAY THEY ARE FOR YOUR DEVICE, IF YOU DO SO YOU CAN END UP BRICKING YOUR DEVICE

Yeah this is one of the main things holding me back on considering this ROM - not a great user experience for us OnePlus 9 users who don't have wireless charging...
AFAIK it can only be fixed by the dev but not even sure its a known issue - doesn't really get much attention when it's mentioned (neither here nor on telegram).

TWRP 12.1 for Galaxy A53 5GInfoNOTE THAT THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. IT IS NEITHER BUILDING NOR RUNNING AT THE MOMENT.
Also note that I never ported a TWRP device tree for any other device before.
I started working on a TWRP build for the Galaxy A53 5G. More specifically, I started extracting the device tree with the twrpgen tool using the original stock recovery.img.
Then, I adapted the output to match the new "twrp" style syntax, as the twrpgen tool still produces the old "omni" files.
My hope was to get at least the build process running inside GitHub actions, such that we have a CI pipeline running for this where everybody can easily contribute and improve.
While the build actions sometimes seem to succeed, the out/target/product/a53x/ folder contains neither a .img, nor a .zip file, which I could upload to the phone.
Even though this is not building at the moment, it might be some time saver for somebody who has worked with TWRP builds before and we might quickly get this running.
Feel free to contribute to this repository or fork it.

I thought since it is now the default branch (12.1), it should be the one to use.

1. Yes, especially concerning environment for builds and also the difference between 11/12 FBE Data encryption etc; 2. No, that URL was about 12.1, but to read You must register and log in. Than You will see a desperate battle and necessary things to keep in mind. There You will find the results for TWRP 12.1 for some Google Pixel's.
Also, in other thread of XDA I've seen LOS 19.1 and TWRP 12.1 ready to use for one of Samsung Galaxy (S8 ?), but seems it includes some proprietary Samsung SW. May be You can ask there for details ? The Developer, Ivan Meler, is friendly and communicative.
