I am making calls to every one via volte in airtel, India. But, when i have to dial toll free numbers (starting with 1800..), i could not connect via volte. I turned volte off and redial then it connects.
It is happening with me since i bought the phone.
Do other users also facing same issue?
I got the issue. It is due to airtel roaming network. I am living in other state where sim issued. Thats why while calling on toll free numbers , call is not able to switch between volte to non volte network.

VoLTE seems to me to be much ado about very little. I know what the technology does, but I also read from the wireless providers the limitations such as:
- Both ends must use VoLTE. Many phones have it off by default.
- It only works with another phone on the same wireless provider's network. What are the chances of that?
- If the phone is not a carrier's branded phone, you do not get VoLTE or VoWi-Fi.
- It cannot be used with landline connections.
- Even if the call does go VoLTE/HD Voice, you will be billed for the same number of calls or minutes.
- If you force VoLTE by enabling VoWi-Fi, and be able to make and receive domestic calls for free while abroad, any international local calls or data will be billed at the very expensive international roaming rates.
- If you use a local SIM while International, you will get inexpensive local calls, but unable to use VoLTE to send or receive calls from home for free.
VoLTE seems Mickey Mouse when you have apps like Signal where you get secure chat, secure calling, and secure video conferencing, without being charged by the text, being charged by the call or by the minute, with the only dependency is a data connection.
How to enable VoLTE on the korean U+? I've checked with my carrier and they confirmed that VoLTE service is active on my SIM. However I can't find any option to enable VoLTE in phone settings. I've only seen a VoLTE call quality option in phone settings - not sure if this means that it's already active. The status bag logo also shows just LTE when mobile data is enabled - no indication of VoLTE.
If you have mobile data showing LTE and it does not change to 3G (or something else) when you make or receive a call, then you are on VoLTE. That is my general understanding of it.

Ah ok. It seems you are not on VoLTE then. Sorry, I don't know how to activate it though.
i have the sprint version but am currently on tmobile network which (was switching me to 3g) during voice call or txt msg.
now that tmobile has been taking down 3g (and they are working on a tower in my area) i do not even see 3g symbol in notifications anymore. i can complete the call and there is no lte symbol or 3g symbol but call completes but can not use data still.
when i hang up i see lte and can use data (browse the web)
the funny thing is before i went to tmobile i had metro pcs in this area which uses tmobile network and i never had a volte problem so you know this is software and they just want us to buy more phones.
this exact phone worked on metropcs with volte no problem.
someone know if exists firmwares that support 4G/LTE VoLTE? My provider has planned to switchoff 2G and 3G networks in some months... so i need VoLTE to make calls over 4G. For others mobile users i can use telegram or whatsapp calls but to call fix numbers of call centers and so i need a working VoLTE. Suggestions? Settings for VoLTE are from providers or i can insert it by hand into phone settings?

I can use jio 4g voice (now jio call) but when i connect my phone to wowifi enabled fiber or any wifi network jio call gets offline.and i cant receive calls anymore untill i disconnected my device from wifi.
I have been struggling with getting a definitive answer to the question if VoLTE is possible on the H4213.
I am led to believe VoLTE is a software ability that does leverage on some hardware requirement.
After not finding the .."enable VoLTE switch" in settings on the Stock Rom but getting info from SONY that the H4213 is a VoLTE capable device, I flashed LineageOS 19.1 plus some Gapps to the Sony.
All good! Now there is a VoLTE slider in settings but still unable to get VoLTE connection. The sim is supposed to be 4G/LTE only.
When I run Network Cell Info (Device+sim) and #4636# Sim shows as ready and Network Type as LTE and in service, VoLTE ,Video calling and WiFi calling provisioned .... but Device Telephony shows Phone Type as GSM and VoLTE capable - No. Same for WiFi Call avail - No and Video Call - NO.
I have been thinking of running VoLTE-fix to see if this fixes anything but that would be of no use if the device HW is not VoLTE capable.
Anybody out there that can say with certainty that the device is VoLTE capable.
I have a suspicion that the sim may be the issue here, as I am also struggling to connect to Mobile data on the sim and the APN information looks dodgy.
This is with RainOne in South Africa, and the surprising thing is that if the number of that sim is called I immediately receive an SMS that I had received a call . SMS and Whatsapp works.
Any light on this issue will be appreciated. Ideas, thoughts anything !
