Stuttering and questions about EMUI 10 - Huawei P30 Questions & Answers

Hello all, i recently purchased a P30 and on the first day of use it auto updated to EMUI10. Then i install all of my apps and started using it.. Its pretty fast but the ui isnt as smooth (in response) as the iphone 8 i had. Thats ok i guess for and android.. Then on some games (archero, ) on normal mode (in the performance mode everything runs smoothly) they stutter and lag most of the time and its almost unplayable... I run some gpu benchmarks and everything seems ok (i get 4600 on gfx slingshot extreme).. So i guess its a software issue..
Also some other quirks i have noticed on emui10.. why is there a scrolling bar on the right side since you cant move it with your finger to scroll faster?
Also why there isnt an auto mode for dark mode and you have to switch it on and off by hand?

Poor display performance in portrait mode

There is a visible difference of display performance in portrait vs. landscape mode.
In portrait mode scrolling is slower and choppier. Some apps have more significant issues i.e. gestures in Dolphin HD are very choppy and shows with great delay. But there is no need for any extra apps to recognize it, as it's also noticeable in the launcher.
I've read this issue was related to Tegra 2 driver bug in Honeycomb. However, after update to ICS this issue is still visible.
I'm running stock ICS (9.2.2.4) on TF101G. No root, no modifications so far (just got my TF last week).
the netflix app performs better in portrait mode when browsing, but everything else isn't really great

[Q] Performance concerns

Hi, I'm not really happy about my Moto G LTE performance.
I keep reading everywhere that it's very smooth but this is not the case for me.
I notice quite a lot of scrolling slowing/lagging in almost all apps (even sometimes in the UI menus) I don't have any 3rd application installed (just WhatsApp) and completely stock 4.4.4.
For example, when I scroll through a Whatsapp group chat there are some little jitters, Scrolling the notification drawer lags almost every time but depends on the currently active app. If Chrome is active with some desktop site it can lag very badly.
Chrome performance are quite nice but again, random hiccups for no visible reason.
Interesting thing is that the lags are very random, It sometimes goes away by itself and gets back.
Tried deleting cache partition, tried factory reset, not working. I do notice improvement if I'm on WiFi and not HSPA/LTE.
I tried checking my CPU usage under Developer options and the load average for the system is never going down from 16. Even if I'm in airplane mode with no activity. Do you think it has something to do with my slowness? I'm quite familiar with Linux systems and know that 16 is extremely high for any desktop/server. Is android the same case or this loads are normal?

Also here is a screenshot of "Profile GPU rendering -> show as lines" under developer settings when scrolling in whatsapp.

As you can see the framerate is not stable at all and many lags occur.
Would appreciate if someone could check his results with the profile GPU rendering and tell me if it's the same or much better.
Any help will be welcome, Thanks!
I got a little slow down but nothing mayor..howewer you can look my test in arr

Are you in the stock or custom rom?
I notice very diffirent performance in many roms. The worst was the stock 4.4.4 of my company (with all the **** of Movistar) and the actuals versions of lollipop...

Z5 Dual Laggy/Overheats too much

Hello two week ago I bought brand new Xperia Z5 E6633 Dual Sim
The problem is:
- Phone overheats too much it goes 60-65c while playing any game.
- CarX Drift Racing <- This game starts lagging in 5-10 mins of gameplay, FPS drops to 20-25, then it responds again, in few seconds FPS drops again..
- Battery drain.. It lasts few hours on Games/Camera
Firmware details:
7.1.1 Stock (Reflashed)
OS is optimized, every useless app is disabled, Background apps limit are set to: No background apps
BN: 32.4.A.1.54 [Reg: CE]
I went to local service and they just flashed Lollipop, told me that problem was fixed also they compared to other same device.
But when I got it in my hands OS was laggy when scrooling, Apps took 10 secs to open so I reflashed Stock 7.1.1 with Flashtool
I Did cleanflash.
I know what could be the problem.
(SRY for BAD ENGLISH)
I know that Snapdragon 810 usually overheats but after watching few Gaming Performance videos about Z5
All the games they tested were running smoothly on 60 fps
After 5 game test the phone was 40-45c overheated
I dont have problem about 45-50c but 60-65 is too much even for 810 and you know it.
Are you sure that it's good to set "No background apps"? I think it might have some bad side effects. Have a look at the first reply here: https://android.stackexchange.com/q...des-or-risks-to-limiting-background-processes
try disabling
1. google location history sharing
2. nfc
3. locations
4. if you device is ROOTED, flash the v2.2 from

First 2 months Use Issue Log & Feedback

Thought i would post the issues i have with my Oppo in case someone has the same problem, has fixes or considering buying one. Overall i am happy with the phone (coming from a S9+).
1. Occasional freezes that last about 6 seconds usually when using Chrome.
2. Android Auto Compass when driving doesnt always up date so it appears your driving sideways.
3. Android Auto doesnt automatically start - need to unlock, click USB Charging and Change to File Transfer.
4. GPS is pretty slow to update for a modern device.
5. GPU is slow to ramp up it's MHZ and causes stuttering in some basic games that suddenly do something intensive (Ie: Explosions).
6. Issues with volume on some bluetooth devices. (Way too quiet and trying amplify apps only make it distort).
7. Camera Slow Mo is too slow.. 1 second = 20 seconds and no other option to change it.
Other than that it is very good.
Battery life is amazing even at 120Hz all day.
Screen is great.
Camera is very good.
Hope someone here maybe able to help with some of these issues or maybe Oppo will read it.. I tried using Support for this stuff though they are useless.
Hi,
About the Bluetooth volume issue, have you tried enabling Absolute Volume from developer options and rebooting? This fixed it for me.

For - "7. Camera Slow Mo is too slow.. 1 second = 20 seconds and no other option to change it." - the speed changes if you select 720p vs 1080p ...
That absolute volume worked! Thanks!
Impossible to create contact shortcut to intelligent assistant for me and disable notification "vpn".....
And just default theme...

Scrolling works ok only on the right edge of the screen?

Hi, i just bought from aliexpress a Lenovo xioxin plus tablet (the Chinese p11 plus) with a global rom ( TB-J607F_S160068_210722_ROW) running android 11. It has a really weird issue - the scrolling seems to work properly only when swiping on the right edge of the screen, there it is fast, responsive and controllable. in some apps like facebook the scrolling on any other part of the screen is slow and unresponsive, and i need to use fast large strong swiping motions to move the screen at a decent speed. On chrome for example the be scrolling is slow when normal strokes are being used but it pick up speed suddenly, and i cant learn how to control the speed. but on the developers settings menu i WAS able to control the speed but it was still slow and i needed to use strong big strokes. In all cases scrolling worked fine only on the right edge (although i cant completely control the scrolling on it enters high speed)
Any ideas on what is the problem and if it's solvable without replacing the firmware?
