optimazing app 1 of 1 on every boot up - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Running Ver 6.0.1
I get this message every time I boot the phone as of last night.
Android is Starting...
Optimizing app 1 of 1
This goes on for quite a while - I would say somewhere in the area of 15 minutes.
The phone does eventually boot, but this is extremely frustrating.
Anyone have any experience/fix with this

Boot time

When I first got my NS4G I was super impressed how fast it booted... like 20 seconds or so it seems. Now it is a lot longer after I've installed tons of stuff, I guess. But I checked using "autostarts" app and have disabled all but the bare minimum to launch at startup. Still though, my phone now takes 50 seconds to get to home screen from power on, while my fiancee's only takes 30 seconds (I'm guessing she has less stuff installed). I didn't think to time my reboot after flashing GRJ90 and rooting (and thus starting from scratch) the other night, but I'm betting it was like 20 seconds again like when I got the phone.
Any idea why it is so long after installing stuff? Any idea how to speed it up? 50 sec is still waaaaay better than my last phone. But 20 sec was just badass.
While I'm no developer, my guess is android needs to load all your apps during boot regardless of whether or not they will actively be running following start-up. Maybe it needs to scan them or run some kind of checkon the individual apps.
Deleting some apps should definitely help with the time.

Tablet keeps locking up when in sleep / stand by mode

I have CROMi-x installed on my Asus Transformer TF700t and it has locked up 4 or 5 times within the last day while in stand by or sleep mode.
It has just started doing it recently and I have not installed any new programs except 1 that was installed several days before the problem came up but some programs have been updated less then 24 hours before the problem started happening. One possible culprit program might be 1Weather:Widget Forecast Radar but it was installed for weeks without the lock up problem popping up I also thought it was a program from my local TV Station's Weather app that was causing it because a few times the tablet would lock up when I tried to launch the app and then reboot abruptly causing the battery run time to reset to 0 so it must have been more then just a minor abrupt reboot. At first the lock up problem only happened if the tablet was in stand by mode over night and once while it was charging in stand by mode over night.
It's annoying when it locks up and I have to hold the power button down untill it reboots and then wait the extended period of time to wait for it to recover, I assume when you have to do a forced reboot from it being locked up it does a similar thing like CHKDSK on a PC where it makes sure all the system files are ok and fixes any that got corrupted?

Rooted stock OC4: freeze from time to time

Hi,
I followed the instruction and got the rooted OC4 running. From time to time, it will freeze for a few seconds. For one particular game, it freeze every 10 seconds or so, for about 1 seconds. For all other applications, it freeze far less frequent and last about 5 seconds.
How do I troubleshoot?
Thanks

Weird Android OS problem

Hello guys,
I have a problem with my Z3 for about 3 weeks now. After approx. 3 days without reboot, Android OS would just start to keep my phone awake equal to the time that the screen is off. So if for example Android OS is at Keep awake for 26m 35s and I turn my screen of and on after 5 minutes it would be at 31m 35s if you get what I mean. The phone is constantly active and does not go into deepsleep. Wakelock detector just came up with the Kernel doing **** in the background which doesn't really help... I've already done a factory reset which helped for ~ a week.
The funny thing about this is, that if I reboot the phone, Android OS keep awake changes to 0 seconds and stays there until I charge my phone again... This seems really odd to me...
Jumping from 6 hours or so to 0s just because of rebooting isn't normal..
Anyone can help ??

Boot problem: boots to previous version

Following the March Android update and on every 2nd or 3rd shutdown the phone boots extremely slowly (takes about 5-10 minutes in the boot screen) and then starts up in the previous OS version (February 2017 security update). It goes through the "Android is upgrading" messages and then starts downloading the March update, installs it and a few days later the exact same thing!!!
This happened again today, but to add to the mystery, while the phone still had more than 35% battery it suddenly turned off and again we go!!! this is making me mad!
